I like the option to buy the canister only, so you can have one full ready to go. Another positive is not having to deal with the empty canisters. This is the answer for people that use portable propane grills/griddles rather than lug around a 20 pounder to keep the fuel cost down. Thanks for sharing this with us Tom. I will be getting one of these!
The best thing is these tanks are steel and US-DOT approved for 12 years. The disposables are thin aluminum and pressure cycling will cause fatigue and explosion. Not if but when.
I watched a lot of videos and decided on the Flame King setup. I had started refiling Coleman bottles but they just didn't seem safe. So far I'm really liking the FK bottles.
Just bought into this system from Tractor Supply. Primary use is to speed up the charcoal burn in a new Big Joe 3 I just started using. Interesting I also ordered the longer Grillblazer torch as I thought the extra reach in the Big Joe would be worth it. You are the only user I have seen that mentioned the way the Grillblazer burns through tanks. Will see how it goes.
You can refill the Mr Heater tank with a nonproprietary nozzle, the kind that also works on green bottles. I don’t know why everyone says you can’t but I’ve now done it several times. You won’t be able to get it as full, because the gas discharge ring won’t work.
@@TheUncommonKIBBLES you can but you will have to manually bleed the tank a few times to fill and id advise you to get a scale , wiegh your empty tank before you fill so you dont exceed the 1lbs , with that said its not safe from what everyone says but thats hear say so beware of that , last ive been refilling my colman tanks with a cheep amazon refill adapter for a year now , got 4 tanks ive filled at least 4 times now , cant say its safe or unsafe but ive had no issues so far nore have i read any reports of any accidents from people filling Colman tanks so do some research and be safe , you can refill colman tanks but at your own risk ....
Looks solid finally a flame King alternative The hex screw relief valve on flame King rounds out rendering it useless they cut corners on a key part of their product . I would pay extra for this system
They are very well made. I bought the adapter plus 2 bottles. I am very disappointed they do not work on my Weber Go Anywhere gas. I am going to try Flame King kit from Home Depot with the adapter and three bottles and a stand. Do you have a Weber that works on the 1 pound canisters. If so can you try it. The WGA I have is the older model and regulator.
Dont know what amazon ap you got but the fuel keg on my Amazon is 100 bucks alone ...maybe because im Canadian things cost 10 times more l i don't know but there is no 18 dollar fuel keg ANYWHERE on amazon from what ive searched ....
Appreciate your taking time to do the video. I just received my refill kit and haven't used it yet. This is helpful.
Thanks for Watching! Enjoy!

Thanks Ted! It’s a very good idea and it’s easy to use
That's the safest refiller I've seen! Here in CA Yosemite National Park. Now recycles old 1lb bottles. They now only sell refillable 1lb bottles.
Thank for Watching James! It is the safest

Can I fill a green Coleman cylinder with this Mr heater fuel keg refiller adapter? I am told no but it looks like we can?
I don’t have that answer, haven’t tried

@4486xxdawson in my opinion, it’s not worth the risk
That's exactly what I am thinking @@TomHorsmanAmateurBBQ

I have a new Weber Go Anywhere gas and a Weber Q1200 at my weekend home. The Fuel Keg works perfectly on those models.
@rickcormier9160 Thanks for the info Rick!
Why wouldn't it work?
as long as you keep throwing your money at them, you go right ahead..
I like it ... nice find Tom
Thanks for Watching!

There is for USA. I don't know about Canada.
You can refuel the over-the-counter ones however you cannot transport them in a vehicle lawfully.
Thanks for Watching! Good to know
Obviously, not advocating doing anything unlawful. How would anybody know disposable green tanks were refilled ?
@bobralph5072 Boom?
@bobralph5072 lol I know right
IDK when they leak and you go baboom ?
This is perfect!
Thanks for watching!
That’s a great idea
