I like that texture using a fabric idea. I’ve used hot glue on a texture part of the model to create a make shift mold. Works ok. But I will definitely try using some sort of fabric next time.
Great video. Noticed support material inside sculpt? Not sure if you are aware but you can mess with your printer settings and make it to where there's no support structure inside your sculpts? Makes them a ton lighter.
I placed those in there to make sure the massive prints didn’t fail. There’s some random islands that needed supporting and with the weight of the model I didnt want it falling off.
You talking about fdm or resin my dude Duke? I get the fdm auto supports w/ infill, but I'm pretty sure that (pro) lychee (resin slicer) defaults to no supports when you hollow the model
@@HighBeanz this is all resin dude. None is fdm and yea I don’t use any auto supports either. I place every support in the model manually. It’s just safer that way I have full control over the print.
Turned out Beautiful man! Good to see a video showing how difficult some models can be, I've done a few myself that tested my patients to new levels. Are the Files for this Raistlin Majere available anywhere? I still love the Dragonlance stories.
Another great video! Appreciate showing all the efforts that actually go into these models. Oh and the dynamic camera work was awesome... especially the up close shots
The file was made before by one artist and it got fixed by another and somewhere down the line a few issues ended up becoming not ideal situations. Granted some gap filling issues could’ve been solved with heavier supports for eg the base. But key fitting and crazy cuts are common issues. Sometimes it seems like the model works in the computer but in reality it’s not a physical possibility to fit the parts in such a way. Translation from 3d space to reality is a skill all on its own. And with this particular model there was some problems I hd with large parts not being detailed enough for example the ropes holding his bags up.
I'm just here for the words of engagement. LOOK UPON MY INTERACTION YE UA-cam METRICS AND TAKE NOTE. Anyways, that was an amazing job on a very frustrating model. Honestly, I'm glad to see it a bit because I've run into similar issues and it always appears to me in my little bubble that no one else struggles with things like the base not matching up and needing to fill in the huge gaps, the keys not fitting properly or just plain being in the way, or the painting of difficult areas. Great video. Great success!
Fracking amazing!!! Seriously though, who is creating these (Dragonlance) models that you keep painting???? They are utterly amazing and I would like to (possibly) commission them for some figures I want done
Awesome magic! Some day I will be a wizard too and paint models in 20 minutes. I keep seeing a model behind you that you haven't finished yet, can you share who that model is with the hair?
Man if you had a patreon tier to get a commission piece after a year or something you would be a gaziilionaire. Also couldn't find the square spot for the words hole this rectangle one works
Hello Nina, you support me making art and encourage me when I was a little kid. I know you could enjoy this with me. I still can feel your love. Granny you make me a better person, i miss you.
you had issues with this model, base and all, does is come from the model itself or because it was not intend to be printed that big ? have you try reaching the creator ? in any case, great job!! Cheers!
Awesome! Now with the black tunic!
Amazing!!! Great job!
Glad you like 👍🏻
It's so key to order your paint job. It's very difficult sometimes to get it right. I need some guide, usually I just go dark colours to light colours
I enjoy seeing you do the entire model from start to finish! Good prep work is as important as the painting! You brought it all together!
Found you recently and I've been watching religiously. Trying to learn as much as possible of your airbrushing. It's on point!

Haha yea maybe don’t use your shirt and if you do don’t tell your wife I said it was cool hahahahaha
This is without doubt one of the best things I have ever seen. Amazing work, captures Raist perfectly

Another great job!! I'd love to hear more about when you choose contrast vs. standard paints and why

WOW. It's really cool.
Thanks dude.
Awesome! Where can I find the file to print this?
Offt, that one fought back 😅 I didn't appreciate just how massive it was from your insta stories, great result though!
I think a lot is lost in translation from reality to video.
Here are some words for your eyeballs. Great job as usual and very entertaining!
Thank you for the words haha
Epic! I'm surprised Joe Mangiello hasn't commissioned a similar piece from you yet. I wish i had the money to do so, this came out amazing!
Would a paint pen work for those details?
You sir are truly a maestro of painting !!!!
would u say it was user error on printing of model. Or was it the file itself that was poorly made???

his eyes are gold too, and the border around his hood is blue not black, decent enough job though
Hey dad. Fantastic stuff. No doubt about it you are a very talented painter. Good camera work too.
Jaysus, that thing is massive! How much resin did it take to print it?
Umm I think in total it was about 3 litres I’d say.

Lol and somewhere in a years time I’d be so busy trying to cash in everyone’s statues that I’d be working months to catch up.
@@Groundeffected oh I thought it only took 22 minutes. Haha

Child slavery and labour are alive, well and living in Brighton !!!! Great video and model looks fantastic.
Hahaha in my defence that day of work cost me a bloody fortune haha
Noice!

for such a great model it is rather sad that they did a shitty job on the ropes/beads (what is it??) that hold the satchels...
