  • The new 2020 Camaro is coming, and GM has brought forward updates from SEMA and has crafted a new lower end LT1 model that takes an LT car and places and LT1 V8 455 HP motor in it. The have also dropped the A10 transmission into the 3.6L V-6 and a handful of little updates I go over in today’s video.

    Food for thought. I hate being a negative player on the subject, but I have had this lurking suspicion around GM and the Camaro. This new release of parts being moved around is either a great way to cater to a desiring car cohort or they are simply clearing out the parts bin for the future.
    Also as noted, The pricing of the top 4 cars.
    Mustang GT: $36,540
    Charger: $35,995
    Challenger: $35,790
    Camaro: $34,995
    Camaro is cheaper!

      Was passing by a dealership the other day, saw a black SS and had the exact same thought. It is only because when it all blends in as the same color, the ugliness of the bumper-emboldened flow-tie goes away. Even if they made that one change on the 2020s (meaning the color of the car passes completely through the middle of the bumper), then that would do it for me personally.

    • @mybro727
      @mybro727 5 років тому +2

      sean k exactly. I love it in Gray with the black grille. The perfect contrast and it just looks sexy. GM is daring with their designs and I like that! Not afraid to do something different. I agree that the 2019 SS grille isn’t bad looking at all. People are just dramatic.

    • @Game-The-System
      @Game-The-System 5 років тому +1

      @@silversonic99 lol..."legitimate complaints" might be stretching a bit. Since there really isn't much (if any) performance changes related to the '19 fascia & hood combo (which are the areas that most "haters" seem to dislike), what we're really talking about are cosmetic changes. The view on them is a matter of opinion. I'm not a fan at all of the huge hood-to-splitter black grill-intake-bumper look either (as well as many other people, apparently), which may be partly why Chevy decided to make the change to the 2020s.
      BTW...having a two-tone fascia (like that on the 2019s) also probably cost a little more money at the plant, as I would think that would add (at least) one more step to the manufacturing process. So that also might have factored in to Chevy doing away with it.

    I feel like it doesn’t have that mean muscle car look like it did back in 2010-2012 it came back strong then and now I feel like it’s trying to conform to a futuristic Camaro, the challenger is still the meanest looking and cheapest v8 you can get not to mention hemi and the new mustangs also look mean but isn’t worth the price for the v8 model. I’m currently looking into getting one of the three and I’m leaning more towards the challenger with the v8 for the price but the 2010-2012 camaros v6 don’t sound that bad honestly and the design is great.

      Red seat belts are for the cops and cameras. They want to sell more tickets! Lol

    Expensive for a maybe muscle against low end high torque. I’m still pissed that my v8 got out horsed by 4-6 cylinders

    Curious to see if you can opt on the LT1 to get the 1LE option and if that would be the same as the SS or as the V6/2.0t... Would be interesting

      Probably not, this car will be a base model V8.

    Omg the sema car looks so good now I’d buy one in a heart beat. as far as that base model Camaro v8 it’s like the reasoning of a scatpack. why someone would add an A10 to a v6 is beyond me

      lol I was wondering the same as you. It seems like a lot of gears for the v6 to run through, I would keep the A8
