I have a power wagon. It is the best adventure truck on the market. It’s a private jet on long road trips. It is not a heavy duty work truck. It is a 2500 HD platform with transmission coolers and can handle 10,000 pounds of towing with ease. The only truck on the market with a winch and lockers on all four tires. Not sure what you’re thinking. And the sound of the V-8 hemi priceless
I tow 15k on occasion 😅
Truth. I own one as well.
You're confusing the Power Wagon with the HD Rebel. A PW is basically a Wrangler in an HD Truck form. You can't have an extremely soft suspension designed to flex offroad and keep high payload. You simply bought the wrong truck and failed to verify the #1 most important item when purchasing, payload.
No doubt about that. Assumed 2500 would put it in the proper ranger with the others. Apparently I wasn’t alone. New PWs now have 17k tow capacity
@@WallStreetRedneck The Power Wagon has the same towing capacity as the one you owned. The new HD Rebel is close to 17K but it looses features of the Power Wagon which is why I stated you're confusing the two models.
@@redtitan29ah got it. I didnt check rams site just did a quickly google before posting and this was the first source that came up
www.stonyplainchrysler.ca/blog/how-much-weight-can-the-2024-ram-2500-power-wagon-pull-exploring-its-impressive-towing-capacity/
@@WallStreetRedneck If you google 2024 Lunar Edition Power Wagon towing compacity it will tell you 10,610. If you google just 2024 Power Wagon towing compacity it says 17,740 which is wrong because that is the max that engine is rated to pull in the right configuration. Which is a regular cab 1 ton 4x2 with a 4.10 rear end. If you beef up the suspension on the Power Wagon it will help the towing
Did my guy say he goes off roading and describe driving across the lawn?
Your title caught my attention, and I was wondering if you were going to talk about actual issues with a Power Wagon. After watching your video, I found out you did not do your research before purchasing the Power Wagon and you really do not know why it has a lower payload.
Clearly their off-road suspension. Nice to see they updated for 2024 model though
It's an off-road truck silly man@@WallStreetRedneck
You saved me 30 mins lol this my dream truck . Still looking forward to buy one
Literally every video talking about a power wagon talks about the lower tow rating. No clue how he missed that info when he was shopping around originally.
@@treboydid you buy one yet?
I get a little tired of people who buy Power Wagons knowing full well what their limits are then bag on them for their lower payload and towing capacity. Kind of like complaining you can't shred a mountain highway in your Harley bagger. I have both, by-the-way and I bought the Harley for its comfortable riding position and long trip ease and the Power Wagon for its off-road capability. I knew exactly what I was getting with both and got what i wanted. I tow a 7,500 lb. travel trailer with my PW which is all I need and the gentleman who bought it new(I'm the 2nd owner) put Carli King suspension and airbags on it raising its payload to 2,000 lb. I couldn't be happier with it.
@@derekheuring2984 I didn’t say I wasn’t happy with it. It’s just odd to have it in their 3/4 ton class. RAM clearly sees the error in this as the newest models have increased capacity now
Payload rating is still lower depending on trim Level..less than 2000 LBS for a fully loaded PW..Tradesman PW will get the best payload...Towing is still in 10,000 pound range
@@WallStreetRedneck they did it because the heritage of the "Power Wagon" was a truck that could be used off road, and can tow/haul enough to be classed as a 3/4 ton truck. The big tow pigs don't do off road well; the original PW did, and that's the heritage here. Changing the rear suspension to an aftermarket spring, or installing air bags, can improve the towing. Hope your new truck is everything you need!
Dude ? That is dirtiest truck interior I have ever seen . 😲MG ! What the hell are you doing in that truck ?? 😂
I've seen junk cars with rats living in them that looked cleaner

I have a 2022 Power Wagon. As others have stated, you most likely got the wrong truck. No matter the badging on the truck, it's a Jeep. A really big Jeep. I have owned many Jeeps. I currently own a CJ5 and a JL Wrangler. The only things I do not like on my Power Wagon, are the shifter and the back of the front seats. The front seats should be like the Jeep options with molle panel back. Other than that no complaints really. Wish they had a few more after-market items for it. If we go to the local beach, take the wrangler. 6 hours to visit kids up north to go camping, the power wagon. A really big, wide-turning, comfy Jeep. (with a Hemi)
I added airbags in the rear that solves the problem...$500 bucks
Good to know. I ended up going with a dually for peace of mind. Hope you’re enjoying yours. Fun trucks 👊
I do love how he went from the lowest payload 3/4 to the other extreme 1 ton dually. Just wait, next video title "no one will tell you the downsides to a dually"
@@advnate hahah I’ll bitch about how stuff the suspension was and the lousy turn radius
@@WallStreetRedneck Don't forget how impossible it is to street side park them and not have the back end hanging out in the street.
You can make the back seat fold foward by adding washers under the seat bolts.
lol I would much rather have the manual shifting 4wd on the floor. It also has nothing to do with the sway bar disconnect. Nice truck
The cost of making a safe failsafe is why the back seats don't fold forward. Peopie would not be securing them properly without sdding a gear system. In an accident the company would have a hard time proving it was secured.
Very nice new 3500, I assume they made it very comfortable price wise.
I ended up having to take the 3500 back. Was a nightmare with the dealership. Will post videos. They delivered the wrong truck
5 kids?!your a hero !!!
lol thanks
The truck is definitely not for you. As a Power wagon owner for 4 years i think its the most perfect all around truck (traded my 2010 1 ton ram diesel manual shift for it). Clearance, you need bigger tires than the stock small 33in. You can fit certain 37 in tires with no rubbing . Hauling, you can get the proper setup airbags to bump up payload and trailer towing a lot. Heavy Duty? The frames on this 3/4 ton are extremely strong hence the huge weight diff (roughly 2,000 lbs) compared to a 1/2 ton.
so did you know anything about the pw before you bought it? lol do yourself a favor and just take down this video lol
Seems it would be cheaper to upgrade the rear suspension to leaf springs if you want more payload and towing, rather than starting over paying for a new truck.
@@michaels6201-n6i I looked into it. Was hoping there was a mopar options that the dealership would do but there wasn’t. I ended up getting a dually for peace of mind and so I could fully utilize my equipment trailer with two 10k axels. They were running some pretty big incentives on trucks when I traded mine in as well.
The frame and axles are the same as the other 2500s..just throw some airbags in the back and it can to whatever you want.
Too late already opted for the 3500 DRW
My 2022 RAM 2500 4x4 Hemi with the 3100 pound payload and factory air suspension is my daily driver. No off-road anticipated.
Why buy a power wagon for on road just buy 1500 lot cheaper power wagon made for off road
Ohhh, do a review on the Corvette and tell us you are disappointed it doesn't have rear seats next. 😅
Hahaha
You're seriously saying that the rear differential sits too low, and effects it's off road capability? Maybe they can do something with that...sheesh
Larger wheels and a another 1-2 inches on suspension would be nice
@ 1-2 inches on the suspension won’t change the clearance of the differentials…front or rear. Taller wheels might, but only if you can fit bigger tires in the wheel wells. Great thinking, and great ideas for someone who’s obstacles off road are…the lawn.
Kids come with dirt period but agreed any mechanical issues
@@JeffMack-mg1pm no. None. Some issues with the firmware/electronics but nothing that shut it down from driving. Solid truck. Really only used it for weekend trips and towing materials and equipment to investments properties
you have to put premium fuel. if you are using 87 it is garbage on fuel milage. I used 91 plus and I can drive 700kms on a tank
@@gatocolombiano16 that’s a pretty good uptick. I knew I would get rid of it one day. I’m back in a diesel now. Is your power wagon in another country?
@WallStreetRedneck Canada
Appreciate the video. Do one on the Duelly.
It’s an off-road geared pickup
The old horizon tree
thats too bad ive had 3 rams all good trucks 2 hemi's and a v6 e torque. don't give up.
I loved the power wagon. Just not enough tow capacity for a 2500. I moved to the 3500 dually. Will post video soon. Dealer actually brought the wrong one and wouldn’t take it back at first
haha i though i was the only person who put an umbrella under the seat
@@iPeter-ky3zs lol. A must down here in FL
I believe the 2500 Rebel could be a choice for those wanting a Power Wagon, but need the towing/payload capabilities more than the extreme offroad. If it was available when I got my 1500 Rebel, I would have chosen that instead.
Only one thing is diesel are way heavier I like my gas power wagon if I want pulling I would go diesel
@@geraldchilders2625 You can get the Rebel HD in gas (which is the way I would go). The payload of the Power Wagon is not much better than a 1500 due to the off road gear. If you want extreme off road (and don't mind the reduced payload), the PW is the way to go... if you want mild off road with better towing/payload, the Rebel HD is the way to go.
Do you rotate your tires?
No winch on the rebel
this sad I'm a dodge ram guy and your trying to tell them to redesign the passenger part wtf dude and yeah I get the knob shift part Im planning on putting in a key ignition in my dully and yeah I'm Young at 22 and I'm 5"10 5"11 and I'm almost 6 foot and have no problem with the passenger part I don't understand why your telling them to redesign the passenger part like tf
you need a Ram 3500 HD dually
Did you see the one the dealer delivered in the video?
I getting 13 to 14 miles a gallon, you don't have it broke in yet
Half way thru the video, all these complaints wants/needs just sounds like a nagging wife lmao. Dude, surely people do their own research before buying. None of the things you mentioned in the entire video, was even worth complaining about. Well, maybe the mpg. Yours sucks really bad. Im on 35 Nittos and im at 14 to 15 average.
The Power Wagon is for extreme offroading. Nothing else.
Anybody that knows nothing about a vehicle in general (sway bar, rear diff, frame, etc.... Good lord.
I get 121/2 gallons mph
I'm always amazed at how lazy people are when it comes to cleaning up after themselves
Yes. Lazy is what got me to where I am today. 😂
make the video on how you get the 10k off msrp
looks pretty trashed for only 20000 miles hahahaha
It's off road and recovery vehicle
Very easy to convert the rear seat back to fold forward, just add some washers under the mounting brackets. Power wagon is for a different purpose than what you were using it for. 4,000 miles per year is more of a toy. Sorry but you know very little about the PW and it shows.
10k tow capacity sucks regardless of its intended offroad purpose on truck in the 2500 class. They clearly updated the 2024 model to 17k so I can’t be alone in this critique.
@@WallStreetRedneck Not the Power wagon. It still has the same rating. I have one I know.
@@fscottgray9784claims 17,740. www.stonyplainchrysler.ca/blog/how-much-weight-can-the-2024-ram-2500-power-wagon-pull-exploring-its-impressive-towing-capacity/amp/
Put airbags on it, and you can tow up to 15000 pounds,
Clickbait video for "likes"....lame.
That knob shifter is trash. I blew the transmission on my truck because I mixed up the shifter with the volume knob going 80 mph. Thanks RAM
Another skitzo larper making stuff up.
Hahah no way
No you didn't. It will not change gears if you are over 5mph.
@@WallStreetRedneckI had similar issue with my manual, during crusing on the highway I started mixing the shifter and trans blew up... Just kidding 😂
