I met Ron in 2012 and he is sure thing one of the best guitarists on the planet. He is so humble that I can't resist myself to keep on praising him always. Good luck with this great band master Ron.
Many times when a "supergroup" of master musicians form a band, it doesn't always work . . . this one does. Great songs and great musicians, actually imho the best rock musicians right now; wow what a combo. I was thinking this is just the first album and they'll only get better and gel more over time; I hope they stay together and keep going because the potential is limitless. Love this band!
Double neck bass, double neck guitar, double keyboard, double drums(you can make more than 2 drumsets from Protnoy's drum set) but where is the double mic?

Yes and no. We are very likely all DT fans here, but we are not fans of DT. We are fans of the DT style. DT lost the spirit of the DT sound. Sons of Apollo captures that style and brings it back. I didn't know SoA existed until yesterday, when it just causally played on my youtube stream, and I thought to myself "this is a DT song I never heard, and I know all of them... who are these guys?". This band is DT as in "because it sounds, feels DT" (the one we want and like). When you add to the fact that two of the band are ex-DT, it makes you understand that the DT spirit and sound was heavily influenced and defined by Porntoy's contribute. As far as I am concerned, DT is alive, and changed name to Sons of Apollo.
Stefano Borini relax buddy. This band has one of three essential Dream Theater members. (Portnoy, Petrucci, Myung, Labrie) And it has a key board it’s that was on one Dream Theater album, an album which most fans wouldn’t even put in their top ten. You can’t compare Dream theaters now a days to SOA first album. Of course it’s fresh sounding because it’s their first album. They won’t keep this consistently for14 albums like DT
People like this are the reason this band might not leave DT's shadow. This doesn't sound like DT, if it did, I would probably be listening to Dream Theater, instead. This sounds unique, and I like that.
