I played bass for Bumblefoot once and got to hang out with Billy Sheehan talking about bass for a long time and he is cool as hell. Bumblefoot is a great dude too.
Billy Sheehan reminds me of Randy Coven. Both great versatile players by the way. One of the best, if not the best. Versatility makes you an even better players as evident from these players.
I think it's awesome that great guitarists always credit ACE Frehley for them picking up the guitars. Ace off Alive 1 blew our minds back in the day and it still holds solid ground even today.
I saw Billy with The Winery Dogs a few years ago,I was standing right in front of him, front row,no one in between us, and his was Bass playing was just amazing to watch up close and in person.
Bumblefoot is my favorite guitarist of all time and Billy Sheenan is an mastermind when it comes to bass, glad you got them on gear factor so they could play some badass riffs together, while shouting out Sons of Apollo (who came out with a fantastic album earlier this year.) great job loudwire!
Kiss 1 had inspired me as well. I got that record along with an all in one stereo for Christmas in 1974 when i was 12. I still have and play that record today. Both musicians are badasses. Don't get better than that.
Heard him play all the parts to bohemian rhapsody while singing it... On a shitty nylon string guitar... Asked him how long it took to master it... Said he winged it...
Billy is such a badass. Aside from his trademark hammering technique, he doesn't really have a style because he adapts and adds flavor to any type of song or arrangement. He has been influenced by almost everyone who has jammed on the four string instrument. In turn, he has become "the" most admired bassist of the last few decades.I love McCartney ,Geddy Lee, Jack Bruce,Steve Harris, James Jamerson, and Chris Squire among others. These guys are all distinctly identifiable in their playing.Billy, on the other hand, has filled his toolbox with borrowed tools from the greats and blended them into a fantastic non-style.
I always admired Paul Samuel Smith of the Yardbirds as a wonderful bassist of the 60's. Until today, no one talked about him because of his short career as a bassist. Thanks to Billy who brought up Paul Samuel Smith here.
Think Bumblefoot is the guitar, guiatrist is named Ron Thal.Very very nice chops and Good vibes and stuffs, chord compositions, and playability, nostalgic.influences. Good vibes to ears, and to all nice stuffs..

Sons of Apollo is the definition of a super group
Understatement!!! Supergroup of the Supergroups !! Ron and Billy !!! ... and Mike and Derek ... SAF !!!!
Unfortunately their music is boring as fuck.
Makes sense. They're all demigods.
*Rimshot* 😆😆😆
But I should go check em out. Thanks for putting me on.
Two amazing talents right there, folks!!! Billy is a monster! Met Bumblefoot, a super nice guy.
Billy Sheehan - One of the best bassist of all time
Bumblefoot - One of the best guitarists of all time
Can it get any more awesome?
Yep you can... Put them in a band with the rest of the talent that makes up Sons of Apollo...

Add Best Drum player in the world + one of the best keyboard players in the world and what you will get? Sons of Apollo
Is it just me or is Billy Sheehan becoming a better bass player with age?
that just happens naturally
@@Eatfard_5150 No, it happens through hard work.
qdaveq are you braindead? BOTH HAPPENS

Imagine these guys just doing a podcast for hours.
Just talking, little jamming and telling stories.
Best combo for a show ❤
i would love to see that
It's like James May from TG/TGT.
I could watch him talk about paint dry, and love it.
Same here!
Love how bassists are all like the ultimate wingman, they hear anyone playing anything and immediately jump in to provide a line for them.
And it's one hell of a lot of fun doing it, too!!!! That's the role.
these 2 guys are a masterclass on their own, very talented down to earth fellas among the top of the tops.
Bumblefoot always has something hilarious up his sleeve. "Jupiter is nice."
That Viger with the fretless steel fretboard sounds so cool
Probebly slider based on theory
Fretless neck, I think you mean :)
That bass lick at the end. 😍
Approved!
We can see the huge difference between their influences because Ron and Billy is 16 years old difference in age.. Love both this amazing musician
Now we’re talking! A gear factor where they actually PLAY
Christian Hanner Horror, yes, don't they normally have shit like St Vincent lol.
"How do you make it to the Apollo? Practice." - Inglorious Bastards.
I need a full "Jupiter Is Nice" EP.
Bumblefoot was just at my school doing a music business panel. Spoke to him for a few minutes, he was very nice.
Bumblefoot is the most down to earth mofo on this planet!
Never met him, but always heard the same....
Awesome....nothing more to say....simply awesome!!!!!😊😊😊
I love the hybrid picking techniques that Ron Thal does.
Bumblefoot is such a nice guy. Thankful I was fortunate enough to meet him last year with Asia at the Budweiser Stage.
Billy is a hero of mine. I would not have pick up the bass if it wasn’t for him and couple other guys
Two masters
Thank you Loudwire! I love to watch these guys! Billy is the real deal too.
I remember the days when Guns n' Roses followed Ron as his support band. Really great group of fellas giving Ron the limelight.

Hey, finally got some guests that do this segment right instead of just playing there own riffs the whole time
On my bday, thanks boys , absolutely awesomeness!!!
I remember getting into Billy when I heard of the band Talas .
Shame on Loudwire for cutting of the playing parts...
Jimiakos that bothered me too.
You cannot play very much of anything copyrighted, even just bars, or some copyright holder will claim the video.
@@tomaburque Then they should've released all the playing parts alone and monetize this video.
