I dont own any modulairs yet cuz i just started with lego a week ago. But i was planning to buy corner garage and bookshop tomorrow. But after seeing bricksies vid and now urs, im gonna buy 2 corner garages. 1 standard build and 1 alternate build. Bookshop can come next month 😄

It looks so good!! The exterior has such lovely details - one would never know its not an official modular! Thanks for the review and spotlight Johanna. Now to see where it's gonna fit in the city hmmmm
I like both sets: The original garage with the sand blue windows and the bricks refering to the town hall! This alternative-build looks great - but most impressive is the fact, that a totally different build was made just of the parts of the garage.
Saw Bricksie build this recently and thought it was awesome. Already have a corner garage, but would be tempted to buy another one just to build this. Think it looks absolutely awesome!
I see you got the Bookshop in another vlog. I built The Birch Bookshop by bohauda on Rebrickable, and it is so impressive. It makes the bookshop way bigger and wider, and love the details on the back and the balcony on the front. As a reader myself, Im glad to have a bigger bookshop modular instead of just half and a random blue house.
I am currently working on the corner MOC of the bookshop by frostbricks. Sadly it is slow progress as it need a lot of additional bricks as well as two bookshop modulars, but I am hoping the end result will be worth it. I agree a bigger bookshop is always better :)
The only reason I bought this set was to do the alternative MOC build, the corner garage wasn’t my cup of tea and it doesn’t go with my weird town theme 😁🥸…the same goes for the Disney castle set. 😀. I’m currently collecting parts for the 2 Central Perk, Friends apartment and The Big Bang alternative build. 😎 I still marvel at your packed room, I’ll have to look out to see if you show the whole room. 🤩
This is nice, but where's Ben. Kidding. Great review and great re-moc. A few bricks from bricklink to replace the light grey and dark nougat would fix those stripes right up.
I did the alternative build for the assembly square and I liked this alt build better. I put lego arcade machines in instead of thier makeshift arcades
I was not even going to buy the Corner Garage set! Seeing reviews of it really showed what a disappointment it would be. That said, on the strength of Bricksie’s review of this Rebrickable version … and seeing your excitement and enthusiasm regarding it … I just bought the set (found it on sale and with free shipping). I’m not even going to build the Corner Garage … I’m simply going to proceed with building this MOC!!
@@HighTeaToys … you are absolutely right! It does look amazing. Truth be told, I think i may actually end up MOC’ing this Alternate build with my own collection of LEGO parts and pieces. I had big plans of building my own MOC of a Blues Club with an apartment above … this build may be just the size and look I need. I think I may open up the wall on the lower floor, much the same as the second floor … and have the stage in the area where the arcade is (and keep the bar part mostly as is). The second floor I would convert into a living room, bedroom and bathroom and have a small music studio where the sewing room is. I’ll have a hot tub and BBQ area on the roof deck! (Plus a small HVAC unit)

I was talking about that on the stream, I was told apparently people call it a Remoc? But as I was talking just off the top of my head I probably called it a moc a few times in the video. You know what I mean though ;)
