LEGO Daily Press Modular Review & Placement! Police Station Alt
Вставка
- Опубліковано 5 лют 2025
- Today we review and place the LEGO Daily Press modular building. This is a custom building that was constructed using the parts from the Police Station set 10278. It consists of a whopping 2735 pieces of the original 2924 pieces. Overall, I think the designer (Versteinert) utilized the parts in very unique ways to create a pretty awesome modular building!

There are so many talented people on rebrickable; its great for them to have a chance to be appreciated without having to become an official Lego designer
Rebrickable has some awesome sets that may or may not ever get approved by LEGO. I'm waiting for an alt build for 1428 Elm Street to come about since I don't think LEGO would ever approve an official set of the Elm St. house (though I think that'd be a killer design with all the mini figs)
That build is incredible, it amazes me how intricate people can get with building, and cool uses for different parts.
Such a stylish build. Love the 1930s style phone booth in the newspaper office, real old timey feel to go with the period printing press. Lovely design.
I agree I love the 1930s style! Do you have the time stap for the phone booth? Cause the only thing I see similar is the closet?
@@samuelyawful especially as there is a rotary phone on the desk right next to it🫣
The designer of this has done such a super build. Awesome use of parts. I think some of the rebrickable sets don’t look great, but this certainly doesn’t fall into that category. Seriously talented guy. Still have the Police Station new in box to build and would be tempted to go straight to this. Might need to buy a second set now lol.
Wow! The amount of creativity that went into this one is amazing!
The creativity to make these buildings is amazing.
That balcony is called a french balcony really common in Europe on older buildings, my apartment from 1942 has one.
Looks like a real modular!
Now the daily bugle has competition and there are plenty of options if you’re in the market for some flowers
Wow! The flower market in Bricksie City must be really competitive now!
Such an awesome build i feel it should be in a more prominent position. I know that you already have a couple of corner buildings next to the town square but wondering how this would look next to it if you took away the blue building to make it a half baseplate and made some slight modifications
I really like this rebrickable model! I also loved the lettering and different building techniques. The Daily Press looks just too good!
I love these type of videos. Cheers Jordan and Josée
An important aspect unmentioned is that it looks very different from the original police station building, despite being from the same parts. One of the issues with a lot of alt builds is that they can end up looking too similar to the original.
Tearing down a police station to build a newspaper building, you love to see it
I love the lego ninjago city gardens
The city is looking incredibly awesome! You and Josee are doing amazing work!
awesome video jordan the daily press looks amazing i love the printing press build it looks great
I so hope you save 1 32x32 baseplate as a tuning shop and McDonald's will be soon on rebrickable. Note that this will be free and will be a corner building. This will use one set of the tuning shop and a bunch of extra common pieces
This or the wine store and apartment alt of the boutique are probably going to be my first alt, I plan to do one this year.
awsume inside stuff looks like a full modular set . amazing build to who built this one
Glad to see a review of this. Thinking of doing this one and the cubo cafe.
Awesome alt build
you really are a talented lego builder its not easy to be consistent, and you are consistent
you upload videos daily, by doing this you inspire a lot of young builders like me
He uploads 7 days a week which many UA-camrs don’t usually do plus sometime he uploads 2 videos in 1 day , have to say he has the love of Lego to share with his fans on UA-cam, 1 of they best I would say Lego UA-cam channels if not the best Lego UA-cam channel for all things Lego based
Have you ever thought about adding a custom Daily Planet to the city or the DC shelf? Would be awesome to include Superman related stuff in Pop Culture street. Or maybe a phone box which has Clark become Superman!
Just curious how many flower shops your Lego city now has. I think it is more than 2. You should have fun with that and have an unusually large number of minifigs walking around the sidewalks carrying bouquets.
That printing press looked really good.
This is a super rad build.
I'd go corner version. It has more pop & design to it and you get the mini figures to boot. I'd be looking for some old timey journalist mini figs to go with The Daily Press rebrickable if you can find any to give it that journalist feel and that 2nd floor office gives it that newsroom feel. This looks like a cool alternative to having The Daily Planet across the street from The Daily Bugle but I agree that news press is legit cool. Great alternate build and great review Bricksie. 👍
Amazing custom modular building.
I think you have 4 flower shops in your city now
Actually love this one now I need another police station🤦♂️. We call it a Juileet Balcony I think. Great job as usual 👏
Great build and good use of parts 4 sure , I like it , I like yes I do n if I like it that’s big 😂
nice video
2:30 i like the Corner
Wow.
You know the numbers on the bags for sets and how each bag has a specific part in the build well I just put all the bags together and work from that
Hey Jordan, another great video and that is such a cool alternate build, amazing work by the designer. I'll definitely be getting another police station to build the straight version as I don't need another corner building at the moment. Just made an unplanned purchase though - the UCS Imperial Star Destroyer is 20% off RRP at John Lewis (UK department chain) so had to order one...! Very excited for it to arrive but don't know where I'm going to put it! 😁
yep i figured the entirety of this city la out is not long for the world, when you are talking about building tables. The better question is where are you going to put your modulars while you get tables built?
Cool build
7:42 That is called a Juliette Balcony
Cool!
The balcony is called a Juliet balcony, pretty common here in Europe but also a bit pointless 😂
Looks awesome! I can't wait to see what you are charging, did you get new tables for a new layout?!
Not yet!
@@Bricksie I'm even more excited then! I can't wait for both! The table is going to a project, but not like you haven't handled a lot of projects so far..
Is there a modular rebrickable model for the Death Star, cloud city or mos iesle cantina that could be placed in the city
I've never checked!
I keep looking at this model on Rebrickable and thinking about building it... this might have just pushed me over the line to do it.
You should add a farm outside of the city. It would be especially cool to make the mils road become bumpy and uneven as it leaves the city
We have a spot dedicated to a farm with a basic layout. Just need to start on it!
i got ideas to put in your lego city, number one is a 5 or 6 story office building named after me if you want to lol and number 2 make a bridge with spiderman fighting baddies
Verry nice very nice. I'm Shaw down to build this if get the instruction lovely build.
A LEGO museum
Hey bricksie
Can you make Tiny stuff please
The one that has corner is much better❤️
It is called a Juliet balcony. Balcony without a deck or walkway
yes or french balcony, very common in southern europe
what a great alt build Jordan. but what was on the floor in a mess at 10:21 ? what was that?
My police station MOC 🤣
oh that what that was. thanks clearing that up. I know those pieces can be used in better projects for the city.
Brickmanton the city of a thousand florists lol
How often do you change the city?😅
But great video, cool building 😁👍
Pretty frequently lol. Until I'm 100% happy with it, it will continue to evolve!
Can someone tell me the best place to buy minifigure stands?
(Edit: like website or stores)
Hi
Don't know why but the one flower reminds me of the alien plant from Little Shop of Horrors.
Lol Mrs Bricksie actually just made one for pop culture street!
hello
hi
Turn the old train station into a mechanic shop
day 2 of asking Bricksie to build the entrance to a underground parking garage.
No plans to add a parking garage. It's just not worth the space in my opinion.
@@Bricksie Okay fair enough.
I have been greatly saddened by the collapse in design quality of the Modulars which really accelerated with the bookstore (I have them all; the first 6 are my most cherished Legos, the new ones are a combination of shabby imitation and things no builder would build).
Police Station could have been awesome but the Friends colour scheme and stunted RHS building just make it weird, plus it, like Brick Bank and Detective’s Office, have interiors no builder would ever create.
So now we come to this rebricable model and it solves all the problems in the original. It isn’t quite as grand as the central façade of the original but it all works well, looks fine. Lego should employ this person!
Is it me or alot of the rebrickable designers are obsessed with florists lol.
This set just happens to come with a lot of plants, so it makes sense.
Long time fan of your channel Jordan but I recently discovered a new channel called Brickcrafts. Take a look at it. It’s awesome.
non corner
So I don’t like it.
Hey bricksie
