On this episode of Deer Season 21 we're heading south to one of Mark and Wade's favorite places to hunt, the great state of Texas. With the rut about a week behind the Midwest, the guys choose to leave lockdown behind them and boy are they glad they did. By the end of the trip, Mark takes one of his best bucks to date in Texas and Wade makes two perfect shots, one on a big boar and another on a mature 8. Congrats mark. Beautiful buck. I watched it in slow motion to see where you hit the deer exactly. Nice shooting. That dear duct almost enough. Good thing you shot low. I have never seen a dear duck a shot that hard and still you still looks like you can ring them or at least got them in the lungs good shot, actually excellent shot
I agree bout the process to getting a shot driving the hunter, but there are many more things! For me ima be honest, I Love shooting

That 8 point is beautiful and a great shit, but I’m kind of surprised the guy took that buck over the other huge 8 with a drop time. I have target buck to but when I see a new buck that’s even bigger, sometimes I’ll take that one lol
Mark would you ever consider going to Maine and hunting the real way. In the Big Woods public land huge northern Maine Woods, would you go tracking for the big massive Maine, big woods Buck? Please do it I want to see it on DOD TV.Hal Blood is the president of Big Woods Bucks or something like that. He's on UA-cam. I don't know him personally. Please check him out and his style of hunting. He gets some big massive 300 pounders, okay it's late after rough so they're not 300 more like 200, but people have gotten 300 lb beer up there pretty commonly, with big racks some of them. Check it out

To any DOD team owners and employees, have you ever done deer hunting in Maine. The old way,tracking? It's a lot of work, it's excellent when it comes to learning things about deer. It's quite amazing. I don't know him but there are videos of a guy named Hal blood on UA-cam he's from Maine, and he has the tracking Guru. Check out some monsters he's killed on UA-cam, via tracking

Just curious as to why y’all don’t do the tactical food plots here in Texas like you do in the mid west? We plant plot on all our place and have great results.
My muzzleloader horror story happened when the nipple blew out and all I saw was an orange flash. I fell back with my eyes and face burning, I couldn't open my eyes, I touched my face and felt wetness i thought was blood, I crawled for a while slowly I started to open my eyes they still burned and everything was blurry but I made it back to the house. Ended up with a powder burn on my face and eyes. After recovering the gun the nipple blew out and hit my scope putting a deep groove in it and had to narrowly miss my head after hitting the scope. Could have been much worse, thankful to God he protected me.
Yes Sir you had the Lord looking over you that day. I use a Savage ML-10 Muzzleloader That shoots smokeless pistol powder. U have to be very careful with them that you weigh every load of powder. Tops is like 45 grains of powder but I shoot 43.5 grains. But I don’t have to worry about nipple explosions with it.
