    Congrats Terry! It was really neat to see all the history you had with Little Gnarly, from encounters, finding sheds and years of trail cam pictures, you and Forrest clearly put in the work!!

    Gotta love the 2/3/4/5 even 6 year comparisons and shows how much a role nutrition and selective pressure shows and imagine how much it effects regular hunters who watch this definitely educates us all to pass that one that has potential … and when you pass and bring selective pressure that buck is obviously feeling safe truly amazing

    What a beautiful buck. I can't believe he stood there for you to take a second shot. I wish I had just one hunt like all of you do. My biggest 8 point i took to a guy to have it mounted, and he ended up moving amd all I have of the deer is a few pics. Good luck the rest of the season. Congratulations again on a great buck.

    Private ranch, trail cameras every where, computer programs to tell you the optimum time and where to hunt! Yes this is just the way most of us hunt. Terry. I have watched you and Mark for a long time, just don't try to sh3t us.

  • @mikeharryhunt1709
    @mikeharryhunt1709 2 роки тому

    I'm just here to see the broadhead performance. I'm kinda of ah newbie but it's ah little crazy to me that mark is shooting ah 2-1/2 cut broadheads only shooting ah 54 lbs draw weight. I'm not very experienced so what do I know tho.. I shoot 60 lbs and I don't even feel comfortable using ah 1-1/2 cut mech. With that draw weight... Like I said tho I'm what u would consider ah beginner to bow hunting....

    • @bradenkuhns5607
      @bradenkuhns5607 2 роки тому

      Two holes bleed better than one no matter what. A cut on contact 1” cut kills deer just the same and helps guarantee an exit.

    • @mikeharryhunt1709
      @mikeharryhunt1709 2 роки тому

      @@bradenkuhns5607 well those rage heads leave 2 holes but I've heard a lot of nightmares story's about them... With fixed blades I ( Im kinda ah newb) I always have them hit ah few inches off of my field points. I paper tune my bow and fixed blades still don't fly all that great. So I'm using rocket steelheads. They fly like darts exactly the same as my field points. There ah over the top mech that only have ah 1-1/8 cut but they are probably the best penatrating mech u can get and they have offset blades so u should get rotation. there pretty fail safe, there gonna open every time. They have to. Just wish they were sharper

    WTF happened with that first arrow? Looks like it went off to the right .

  • @tray22
    @tray22 2 роки тому

    I take my quiver off because it adds noise. You might not have gotten that 2nd shot with your quiver on. I got 2 shots at a doe this year after the string hit my sleeve on the first shot. 2nd one hit home quartering away with a very sharp montec. She ran 80 yards and expired.

    • @alanleukuma2699
      @alanleukuma2699 2 роки тому

      You must have a bad quiver, mine doesn't add any noise and I bought a very cheap one.

    • @tray22
      @tray22 2 роки тому

      @@alanleukuma2699 the quiver tends to be less of the issue. The broadheads and arrows inside from my experience cause a lot of the noise. I don't like pushing broadheads into foam dulling out the blades so that leaves the blades only hovering above the base plastic. I think this is as much personal preference as anything but as soon as I get to my spot the quiver goes on the tree. Only been hunting for 30 years so what do I know.

  • @jwild5360
    @jwild5360 2 роки тому

    Y’all think he could have done it without DEERCAST? Lol enough with the sales. It’s a little over done. It’s private land with thousands of dollar in food plots in a prime location/state and your able to let them grow every year with little to no worries of them not making it. Not too difficult.

    Theres no way you had that deer at 20 yds and he let you put the window down... shoot at him and miss... wrestle around to nock a new arrow... and shoot at him again. AND still shot him back. I guess shooting fish in a barrel is harder than we all thought 🤷‍♂️
