Mark telling himself to calm down when the buck is in bow range and his reaction post shot. Even after all of the giants it's like it was #1, that's pure gold.
The November 3rd encounter has to be my favorite moment for sure! Watching a whitetail of that caliber doing his thing at 45 yards is hard to beat. Unfortunately never presented mark with a shot but that was just an all around legendary moment in itself!
This has been my favorite hunt of the season, disappearing act was a Giant but the chips just fell in place so easy. (I know there was a lot of sweat, planning and work heading up to that moment). This guy on the other hand carried you through all the ropes and emotions! What an incredible ending when two legends finally met! Keep on bringing us content like this that makes us hold our breath! God Bless You Guys!
Beautiful hunt. What did he score? The girth was incredible! Never mind. I read down further and saw. That was an awesome buck. I really like the odd racks like that. I was able to kill my biggest buck this year. Unfortunately it cost me the spot afterwards. I showed the farmer after I got it out and his son happened to be there when I arrived. His son apparently pays to hunt somewhere else and after he saw how big this guy was he told his dad that he wants to start hunting there. I barely got home when my phone rings. The farmer apologized but asked me not to come back cuz his son wants to start hunting there. Messed up thing about it is I always helped that farmer out around his house and farm. Kinda earning my keep, so to say. The farmer is going to miss that because his son is a sniveling idiot.
Been watching you Mark since the early 2000’s, and I don’t think I’ve ever seen you mad/upset the way you were when that doe led him out of the field. Glad you got redemption! What a incredible season you had.
The Fall TV, we're dang appreciative of that tenure of support, that's for sure. That November 3rd encounter certainly left a sting, but in reality it was such a blessing to witness what we did. It's not very often you get to see all of that deer behavior unfold and though it didn't come together, it certainly seemed par for the course on the chase for the Fork Buck. We're glad to see it ended and just really appreciate all that was learned along the way. Hopefully you were able to take something from it too! Have a great day and best of luck if you're still able to hunt this season.
Kenny Thompson, we’re glad you enjoyed this one! The Fork Buck was an amazing whitetail and it was a privilege to hunt him for so many years and to learn so much along the way. Hopefully you had a great season and best of luck if you’re still able to get out in the woods! Have a great day.
What else is there to say but unbelievable. This story is one that will never get old and quite honestly will be difficult to top! Thanks for sharing your knowledge and ideas along the way, here's to the next adventure. Great job by Wade and Perry for laying down the story these past few years. Cheers to the Fork Buck!
Unbelievable story. I can honestly say I have never been turned so inside out watching a hunting video. I was coaching, cussing and celebrating right along with ya on this one. CONGRATULATIONS!!! Wade is definitely your good luck wing man. Keep him close.
Eichler, thats all we could ever ask for from the production side of things. The Fork buck and the chase for him definitely deserved something special and we’re happy to bring it to the channel. Thank you for the incredibly kind words, we hope you had a great season, and hope you have a great night!
Great show! I once hunted an old buck for over 3 years and never once got a daylight pic of him. I had over 10,000 pictures of this buck on numerous different trail cameras. Finally he made a mistake following a hot doe into the edge of bedding area very early one November morning where I was waiting and got lucky enough to harvest him! He ended up grossing in the high 160s and I estimated him to be 7 or 8 years old! The thing most people don't understand is that big old wise bucks can all have such different personalities and tendencies. Some are definitely smarter and some are more nocturnal. I am never surprised at what these giants will do to survive that sets them apart from the rest of the herd. Keep up the great videos!
Ryan Wells, you nailed it on the head! No two bucks are the same and that's one of the greatest parts about pursuing whitetail deer. Like Mark said in the episode, whitetail's are the greatest teachers and the Fork Buck was a stellar example of that. Congratulations on harvesting that ghost, it sounds like an incredible chase for an incredible animal. Here's to the next story Ryan and thank you for taking the time to watch the episode and for leaving the comment. Have a great day!
Dustin Wilkins, we appreciate you taking the time to watch the episode and hope that you've had yourself a great season! Thank you for the kind words and have a great weekend!
These are the stories that make me smile. An entire hour dedicated to one deer. I watched every second and loved it. Please keep telling stories like this. 5 minutes in a "TV" format doesn't nearly do justice to telling the whole story.
Jordan Howell, there’s not much that we can say other than thank you, truly. The chase for the Fork Buck was definitely one that we felt was worth sharing and as Mark said, the greatest teachers are whitetails. We look forward to Deer Season 22 and if you haven’t checked them out, there’s 35 more episodes from this season available to watch. We hope you’ve had an incredible season and wish you the best as we prepare for the next season!
Scott Gillick, as always we appreciate you and the kind words! The Fork buck was one saga we won't soon forget and to say we're happy for Mark would be an understatement. Have a great rest of your day Scott!
i grew up watching the drury’s from their old school tapes from back in the day. i’m 31 now and still watch them. amazing how far they’ve came. i’d love to be able to hunt with them one day be a dream come true
That was so enjoyable to watch. You were able to take as much time as needed and tell the entire story, rather than having to jam it into 22.5 minutes. I hope to see much more of this!! Congrats!!
Brett Walsh, we're so dang glad to hear that and are very appreciative of the kind words! Having an unlimited amount of time for a particular story definitely allows for more explanation and detail. Hopefully you got the chance to check out the rest of the Deer Season 21 series, I believe there was a total of 39 from last year. If you haven't yet, below is a few more links to check out while you wait for Deer Season 22 to get into full swing. ua-cam.com/video/oA1RoGv8HeI/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/_j1O9tFZjKc/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/4P1NubrirYk/v-deo.html ua-cam.com/video/7nTczHyWy48/v-deo.html
By far this episode! This buck put you thru every emotion over and over again! Congrats on a Awsome Buck. I felt all the emotion as well. I almost had tears of joy in my eyes when you connected!
Joseph Cahoe, we greatly appreciate that and are glad to hear you felt like you were along for the ride. Mark earned this one may times over and we couldn't be happier for him! Have a great rest of your day and good luck hunting if you've got time left on the clock.
Justin Kamps, we appreciate the kind words brother. Congratulations on a great season yourself and best of luck as we embark on the off-season. Have a great night!
Outstanding sir, the best part is to see your family relationship and to see the excitement for each family member as they take their deer. Congratulations sir
Jon Mullen, we greatly appreciate that man! Glad to hear you enjoyed it and we look forward to bringing the next heart pounding story to the channel. Have a great rest of your day and good luck if you're still able to make it to the woods.
Matthew Grisham, we appreciate the kind words and couldn't agree with you more. Deer Season 21 was one full of blessings and opportunities that we don't take for granted. We hope you had an equally fun season filled with memories. Have a great day and god bless you Matthew.
Team Vital, we appreciate you taking the time to watch the story of the Fork buck! Like Mark said, whitetail's are the greatest teacher and this saga was a prime example no doubt. It's been an incredible season that we don't take for granted and again, thank you for following with us along the way. Hopefully you've had a great year and best of luck if you're still hunting!
I just love this Deer Season 21. This is hands down the best thing you all have came up with. What makes it great is the story you guys get to tell with the hunts. Kills are cool to watch but the story you guys tell on the episodes is what makes it awesome. The TV shows just doesn't allow enough time to tell the full story of the deer. I was glued into this Fork Buck episode. The story, the footage and how it was laid out was spot on. I look forward to seeing a new episode pop up on my notifications. Keep up the great work. Awesome buck by the way....
Danny Reaves, we really appreciate you taking the time to leave such a thoughtful response! We don’t get to tell stories quite like this every time, but we look forward to trying. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed Deer Season 21 and there’s still a few left to come! Have a great night and again, thank you for the time you took to watch, the kind words, and support.
What an incredible chase and story for such a legendary buck. Mark couldn’t be more deserving to wrap his tag around the fork buck after his 24 sits trying to get an opportunity on him. That is persistence and with only having 2 real encounters with him this season, really shows how much of a ghost he truly was. Big congrats to Mark, Wade, Perry and the whole DOD team involved with this mega giant!
Dave Murphy, we greatly appreciate all the years of support! We hope you enjoyed this one and wish you best of luck if you’re still able to hunt. Have a great day!
Incredible deer and production! The lighted knock from Disappearing Act going through the Fork Bucks vitals while working the scrape on the 4th was top shelf. It was awesome to hear Mark's inner battles he was having in his mind throughout the season get explained during the episode and to see it all come to fruition! As hunters, we are always doing this with ourselves during the year and I thought Mark did a great job walking us through his thoughts on the journey. Great work!
Kane Gillette, we're really happy to hear you enjoyed it and thank you for the kind words. If only it would have came together on 11-3, but hey that was par for the course on this saga right? Hopefully you've had a great season and again, thank you for taking the time to watch, the support means a lot.
Kory Schneider, thank you very much for taking the time to watch the whole thing! We know it was on the long side, but the buck and overall story definitely deserved the explanation. Have a great rest of your day!
I remember watching the Drury Brothers in my camper while we were out deer hunting unfortunately I can't hunt any more because of a lung disease but I still love watching them hunt mark and his whole crew are amazing nice job guys
Larry Dowden, first off brother we pray that your lung disease is on the mend. Second, we can't say thank you enough for all the years of support. We're humbled to hear you enjoyed this one and we look forward to bringing the next story to the table. Not sure if you've seen them, but there are 35 other episodes from the Deer Season 21 series available for viewing from this past season. Either way, we are incredibly grateful for the time you took to watch and to leave the kind words. Have a great day Larry!
Ben Malone, like Mark said in the episode... whitetail's are the greatest teachers and the Fork buck was a perfect example of that. 2021 was a year we will never forget and we've been extremely fortunate for how it all transpired. It was an honor to be able to bring everyone along with us and all eyes are on 2022. Well, that's not quite true... we have a few more episodes coming out yet so be on the lookout for those! Have a great day and as always thank you for the continued support.
Man this had me feeling like a kid again in my parents basement watching a dream season dvd! Thanks for all the great content, and congrats on yet another absolute giant!
Cody Miller, that’s pretty cool stuff right there. We appreciate the years of support! Thank you for taking the time to watch and we hope you had an incredible season. Have a great night!
Woody and Carter Reifowitz, we appreciate the long tenured support guys, truly. The Fork buck was a special saga that involved so many friends, family, and great stories that will be talked about for a long time. We're humbled to be able to bring it to the channel and hope the video did it justice. Hopefully you had a great season and best of luck if you're still able to get out there. Have a great rest of your weekend!
Chad Rusher, we really appreciate that sir. We're extremely thankful that you took the time to watch and hope you enjoyed the story. Have a great rest of your week!
Unbelievable history on an unbelievable deer ! Probably my favorite video and story I’ve ever seen on such an elusive Whitetail !! Wow … just wow. Congratulations sir.
Dave Hoffman, we are very grateful for the feedback and time you took to watch! We're looking forward to the incoming season and seeing what story comes next. Here's to Deer Season '22, we cannot wait. Have a great weekend!
This feels like every deer season I've ever had aside from the fact I haven't had a chance at 190" yet lol. Great story, a lot of fun to watch. I could feel the angst and anticipation as if it were me in your seat.
Ben Brown, it's certainly a roller coaster going through an entire season and we wouldn't change it for the world! Thank you first and foremost for the 6+ years of being a subscriber, that support means the world to us and we don't take it for granted. We've kicked off our Deer Season '22 series and if you haven't seen the most recent episode, I'll drop a link below. Let us know what you think! Have a great rest of your week Ben. ua-cam.com/video/XV_BStwE6K4/v-deo.html

@@DruryOutdoors I was unable to hunt the 2021 season due to an unfortunate car accident. I am hopeful to be healed up enough for the fall of 2022. My home base for hunting is NJ. The season goes to Mid Feb. But, I'm looking to September at this point.
camohunter, we're very sorry to hear the accident occurred in the first place, but glad to hear things are on the upside. We wish you a speedy recovery and a successful 2022 campaign! Thanks again for the kind words and support.
Michael Fryell, we appreciate you taking the time to watch and for the kind words! Hopefully you had a great season and good luck if you're still out there hunting.

To even just see a buck that big, in one's life time, is something to remember, but to actually get a chance at it, the buck fever would have been hard to control!
L2FlyMn, the Fork buck was one incredible whitetail and the list of things he taught us during the years of hunting him is pretty long. Thank you for taking the time to watch the episode, we're beyond ready to get Deer Season '22 rolling! Have a great week.
Congrats! Thanks for sharing the story of the Fork Buck! Cool to see all the history and how it all finally came together. I liked it all, but for whatever reason him licking and licking and licking his nose on that scrape at 40ish yards stuck out to me. Cool buck behavior. Congrats again!
Drew Ramage, first off let us start by saying a huge thank you for taking the time to watch the episode and for the support, we really appreciate it. The journey was definitely a fun one and the moment that stuck out to you did for us too. That November 3rd encounter was a prime example of why we all love that month if we can find ourselves in the right place at the right time. Have a great day and hopefully you had an awesome season!
William Christopher, it feels just like yesterday when this all unfolded. We hope you enjoyed the story for the Fork Buck and hope you had a great 2021 season. Best of luck this spring!

What an incredible deer!!!! Crazy how much body weight he dropped from that first encounter of the year compared to when you killed him. As always great story and great deer!
Justin J Hauser, we're glad to hear you enjoyed it sir. Thanks for taking the time to watch and hopefully we did the story for the Fork Buck some justice! Have a great rest of your weekend and hopefully you've had a great season.
Mark I have to say that buck is a Stud! Congratulations! I enjoy watching your videos you are very humble, and I believe that what it takes to hunt whitetails or any deer species for that matter.
love the story. I'd rather watch a show that tells a story and shows the work that goes into killing a big mature buck than just seeing the kill on video. love these UA-cam videos yall put out.
Michael G. Harvey -DNR- we really appreciate the support and kind words man. If you'd like another story, we JUST uploaded a brand new episode on the Deer Season 22 series that showcases the chase for Wade Robinsons biggest buck ever. A 188" Iowa giant that took place 10 days ago. Let us know what you think and if you check it out, we think you might recognize the field it all goes down in... Incredible story told and good job sealing the deal. Was it just me or did it seem that the Fork Buck in every encounter looked at the blind a lot more than any other deer?
Tim Snyder, we greatly appreciate you taking the time to watch and for the support. It’s tough to say if he did or not but he certainly didn’t get as old as he was without being wise. Have a great night!

i grew up watching the drury’s from their old school tapes from back in the day. i’m 31 now and still watch them. amazing how far they’ve came. i’d love to be able to hunt with them one day be a dream come true

Best stories in the industry!
Thank you for taking us along for the journey, frustrations, and elations. Awesome story worthy of a king buck!
Justin Kamps, we appreciate the kind words brother. Congratulations on a great season yourself and best of luck as we embark on the off-season. Have a great night!
Outstanding sir, the best part is to see your family relationship and to see the excitement for each family member as they take their deer. Congratulations sir
I love this episode. I think I have watched it multiple times and it still gets me excited.
One of the best hunting episodes I ever seen in my life my heart is still pounding congratulations Mark
Jon Mullen, we greatly appreciate that man! Glad to hear you enjoyed it and we look forward to bringing the next heart pounding story to the channel. Have a great rest of your day and good luck if you're still able to make it to the woods.
I knew you would do it. I stood up for the episode. Glad for you man. Beautiful deer.
Honestly, I teared up a little. So many attempts, so many frustrating moments. Perseverance, Brother! That’s what it’s all about 🙏
Man, thank you for that. There’s so much heart that goes into these hunts, and we love being able to relate that to y’all.
Congratulations Mark. Beautiful majestic buck. The dream shall always continue....
God bless ya buddy. You sure had a blessed season. I couldn’t be happier for ya.
Matthew Grisham, we appreciate the kind words and couldn't agree with you more. Deer Season 21 was one full of blessings and opportunities that we don't take for granted. We hope you had an equally fun season filled with memories. Have a great day and god bless you Matthew.
Truly a magnificent buck taken by the GOAT 🐐 himself! Congratulations Mark!
Carson Brandt, you're not kidding! It was a wild ride and it's going to be one we talk about for a long time brother. On to shed and turkey season!
CONGRATULATIONS!! I have followed you for years!!
Dave Murphy, we greatly appreciate all the years of support! We hope you enjoyed this one and wish you best of luck if you’re still able to hunt. Have a great day!
What a amazing buck, congratulations Mark. This is the definition of Persistence.
What an amazing story that was! Thank you so much for sharing this at the length you did. One of my favorites from you guys! Congrats!
You said it best “ right place at the right time “ beautiful deer 👍
What a legend and what a season!

Woody and Carter Reifowitz, we appreciate the long tenured support guys, truly. The Fork buck was a special saga that involved so many friends, family, and great stories that will be talked about for a long time.
