- Got a call for bees in a water meter.
The Dirt Rooster & Todd stopped by as both were visiting the New Orleans area for a youtube convention (just kidding).
As the title states there weren't a mess of bees, at least when we got to them there weren't but it did give us an opportunity to visit & help the homeowner Mr. Ronnie out.
Honey bees are very important insects responsible for pollinating more than 30% of the food we eat.
Please contact a beekeeper before spraying a bee colony or swarm of bees.
Just about any beekeeper could have safely & humanely removed this colony of bees.
In case you're wondering, Mr. Ronnie was not charged to deal with this little handful of bees.
JP, Randy aka Dirt Rooster & Todd are beekeepers who care about bees & our environment.
JP the bee man "me" resides near New Orleans, Louisiana & keeps bees & performs live bee removals throughout southeast, Louisiana about 10.5 months of the year.
I will travel just about anywhere to deal with bees.

You have no idea how happy it made me feel when I saw that queen....
I can't believe the queen survived! That's amazing and awesome. I was ready for heartbreak, and got a happy ending instead.
JP and the Dirt Rooster in one video! My, my, my...You guys are heavily responsible dragging me into beekeeping!
You got the “heavily” part right. Them’s some big boys.
Actually a great video about saving bees. It's always worth a try.
I love this video. When you took off the cover I wanted to cry. Maybe the city should just go around when reading meters and just spray honey be gone after each read? NOT poison!!! J. P. Thank you so much again. It was nice to see Randy and Tod show up. "Where hobby bee keeping.. is...a...way...of life"!
"I'm having a good day, and I know you are". Bee-utiful queen J. P.
I'm not sure if it's ever good for ya'll two to ever be together!
We definitely need more DirtRooster and JP collabs!
I'd love to see what happens next with this little batch of bees.
Those poor girls. Thanks for saving what was left before they came back to finish the job!
Would like to see updates on this small hive in the future.
She kinda looks like a young queen in the video. Great rescue JP.
This saddens me so much. I'm glad the queen survived though.
Good to see 2 out of the 3 of my favorite keeper in the same video good job guys
Who is the 3rd?
Mr Ed?
Yappy?
Someone else?
@@emmanueludoh77 mr. Ed
Noooo! That's so sad! I have always known the important role bees play in the world, but since watching your videos my appreciation is even greater. This makes me so sad, but I'm happy that there are people like you to educate people and save the bees!
Having survived an assassination attempt by the poisoner, those could be good genetics to have, with a better than average resistance to insecticide. Just possible that the queen surviving is due to genetics.
And they look like real gentle stock too.
Oh my good gracious! You’re together!! My two favourites. Yay. I love you guys. That’s a sad thing to watch you deal with. I heard your tone change when you saw what had happened to the poor bees Xx
It's great to watch bees fly in on stuff I plant when it blooms. One year, I was getting clusters of them covering a leaky lawn faucet, guess they were thirsty, lol.
My condolences to the dead bees😳😱😥❤️. grat Job!
37 and a queen could be 10k next year. Good to see the good and bad in the life of a Bee wrangler.
I thought a colony of less than 500 workers couldn't survive long-term. Perhaps he's gonna merge them with other bees he saved. Or provide warmth so they wouldn't freeze in the winter.
Yeah, I thought I felt the Earth went out of balance for a while when you guys got together. 😳 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Glad to see the DirtRooster. He helped me overcome my fear of honeybees. Now I have a hive. Only one thing there JP the DirtRooster ain't no purty gurl. Your droppin the ball.😄😄😄
my two favorite bee keepers together.... life is good!!!
Last year I had bees in my water meter box in my front yard, only 3 feet from a busy sidewalk. The guy that came and got them gave them a new home. Estimated at 6,000 bees. Had 5-6 good sized combs going.
Whoa. My favorite two beekeepers on UA-cam on one video. Awesome
This is kinda like the Yalta conference of beekeeping! Enjoyed the video...thanks!
JP and the Rooster - two guys I’d work bees with in a heartbeat. Always a pleasure gentlemen.
Love to see my two favorite guys together
Lifer here... watching till 6ft under, good job JP & Dirt Rooster! Colonies of all sizes worth it, especially survivor bees!
Now I believe what Mr Ed said.. That a big swarm for the Dirt Rooster... lol. Y’all have a blessed day
It’s amazing any of them survived.
Gotta love Randy & UP a laugh party when Randy shows up. Enjoyed.
Sometimes I wish cities would hire a bee person to move hives to a safer location. They'd rather hand out a $3 can of poison...
That is one hearty little Queen she is a survivor!!! A keeper of her hive and still trying hard to make them happy. lol Have a great day
I love watching both of and have been wanting to see y’all in the same video for awhile now. I’ve learned so much from both of y’all don’t tell Mr. Ed that y’all are my favorites. I’ll be starting bee 🐝 Keeping soon. Just trying to build my bee yard and supplies and knowledge. I hope I get to meet y’all two and Mr Ed some day. If y’all ever make it to Garland Texas let me know
Cliffton Whitaker I love Mr Ed too
JP you are just the gentle man that these bees need after the ordeal they've been through. I'm glad that you came for them. :')
Humans have done a lot of destructive things to this planet even to other creatures that we rely on for our own survival. I've been binging on your videos because I love your attitude and what you do. Bless you for dedicating your life to saving, relocating, and maintaining these wonderful bees. Your videos help to educate others and show they are a creature to be cherished, not feared and destroyed. They, and you are unsung heroes necessary for survival of many species on this planet!
Hello from Ukraine i love your video.Viva Amerika !!!!
Even though there were so few left, they still deserved a chance. Thanks so much for the important work you do.
It doesn’t matter what kind of video, when you save any bees it’s just awesome 😎
My 2 favorite bee catchers together. Nothing beats this.
Thank you for trying to save those poor bees ignorant people do the dumbest things
I'm heartbroken they sprayed them but I'm overjoyed you came out and save the 40 bees ❤️
Thank you JP. I appreciate your videos.
Poor bees! I hope the water company appreciates you doing the clean up after them.
The water company is probably considering suing them for tampering with their property. To be clear, I'm with JP on this, I'm just pointing out the harsh reality.
@@zwz.zdenek Sadly that's what I expected too, still I do hope they're appreciative.
I’m a locksmith in Huntington Beach. My in-laws have a colony in the eves of an addition that they built on their home less than 4 years ago and the bees have been there the majority of that time. The eve is sealed and stuccoed so relocating is going to be difficult but that’s definitely what we want to do. I’ve been watching your amazing videos obsessively for the last week (I’ve fallen asleep and dreamt of bees once or twice😂). I want to at least be a part of the relocation. The bees man in my area has negative reviews online because he’s known to kill the bees if the client doesn’t want to pay the cash to take the time to relocate. Finally, my question, (sorry I’m being long-winded here) would it be stupid for an amateur, me, to try to do it myself with the proper equipment (suit, smoker, box, queen keeper, repellent, commander, etc)? Thank you for your enriching content. I’m a fan and I’m grateful for your profession. Keep on! 🙏
You could also ask around if any hobbyist want a free colony.
I enjoy watching both of you work your magic!
It was so good to see my two favorite beekeepers together!!! Wish the cut out was bigger but like you said you never know until you get there! Ok so I have one question....who is the more seasoned beekeeper? You or Randy? Who’s been doing this longer? Love u guys!!! 💕💕💕💕💕
Okayyy!! Didn't know there's a conference of beekeepers this time of the year! Great video, great job JP. Thanks for this.
I can’t believe I’m watching these 2 people in the same video! Awesome!
My two favorite bee keepers in one video! HooooooBoy!
Any bees saved is a big plus to us and the environment
. Thank you for saving them bees.
Thank you for advocating for the bee’s you love . Someone needs to send this video to the city , county or town this is filmed in so they know who to call when they have bee’s in da meter boxes or anywhere else . Why are some people so ignorant to nature ?
Keep getting your message out there bees are crucial
JP - you should do some with your eyes - you need Schawee or DirtRooster to find a Queen ;-P
Love and respect from germany ;-)
👍😉🐝
What a heartbreaking video. That home owner seemed like such a sweet man. It's too bad he didn't have a more positive experience. If that baby colony survives, maybe you could follow up with that man and let him know it all turned out ok? He strikes me as the kind of person who would forever wonder what happened to those bees ...
That could have been much sadder, but it was a wonderful thing to see the queen bee right there! Very good they can repopulate once again! I hope that you two can join forces and do a co-lab vlog together at some point. That would be very cool.
JP is the bee boss, he always gets the queen.
Maybe it's time the meter readers were educated about the importance of bees to the world. Such a sad sight.
Hello Guys, I think the fellowship was definitely worth it, I bet y'all had a blast at the Mexican restaurant!
198th! GOOD MORNING JP! Boy, they really love lids. Meter, anything with a lid! Roger in Pierre South Dakota
Awesome to see you and Dirt Rooster and saved a Queen
Now that is sad of them spraying instead calling someone like you to take care of them. Glad to see that the queen survived as well! ✌️❤️🤓👩🍳⚓
Thank you JP!
Sad about the bees, hope the rest make it though.
On another note, great to see you with the dirt rooster and happy he was around to cheer you up 👍
Poor little ladies! At least the queen made it. Colony still has a chance.
That Randy has a way of showing up all over the place. He crashes Mr. Eds videos and now, yours JP!
I'm amazed that they still reading meters....even here in the sticks of Kentucky they put transmitters down in the hole.
Great video and so good to see the Dirt Rooster joining you. I wish the message would get out to Not Kill the Bees... 😭😭.
The two great bee super heroes have come together in a MAJOR CROSSOVER to form a secret organisation to protect bees worldwide, they were going to call it SHEILD, but they decided on BUMBLE👍😎😜🐝
Love you guys!
So much respect for you.
Enjoyed the video. As always.
Keep them coming.
Maybe you could do a video with Randy and Mr. Ed and shawe that would be cool. If I butchered his name I am sorry.
I was hoping for a colab at some point. Love this
Thanks for explaining things
Love the videos man!
Always good videos!
JP is certainly a cutout bee expert.
We need to make a world wide law. That killing bee colonies is a felony offence.
You should have to call a licenced bee removal person. If your being swarmed by a aggressive bees colony spraying with water or get away but you should not be allowed to use any kind of chemical spray on them.
My Two Favorite Beekeepers 👍
love to see you guy,s joking around and having shrimp tacos yum
Love your vlogs...
Maybe this is an opportunity to get your foot in the door to present your card for future reference. JP and the Rooster.... look out now!
Well at least the queen is still alive, I hope they make it. JP I hope you got those bees some lunch.
It was good to see the two of you and the same video. I was hoping you would do this sometime
Nice to see 628 and the Runnin Rebel....
Sad sight 😕 it’s upsetting that so many people see honeybees as a threat rather than the benefit they truly are. Hope those girls survive JP. Give us an update down the road!
My two favorite bee guys. I love Yappy too
At least you found a queen (and in such good health it seems!). Sad as it was to find the hive in that state, with a little TLC that colony will recover eventually.
Morning have a fantastic day
JP and the dirt rooster are together! I was wondering if ya’ll knew each other. So sorry that the bees were sprayed. That makes me so sad. 😌
Thank goodness there is a queen. They might have a chance if you can get them some numbers.
Very nice!!
A shame you two had to meet under those circumstances. Felt bad for those girls but was pleasantly surprised to see the queen alive and kicking.
2 legends in one video!!!
Wow... hard to believe the queen would survive that kind of hardship...
I made it 39 bees, guys. You need to sharpen your counting skills! Great the Queen survived the ignorant attacker. All you need is Mr Ed and you have a perfect triumvurate 😁
Not a rocket science..but surely very necessary work you got there Sir...appreciated 👍
HOw sad to see that most humans are so ignorant and simply kill everything instead of acting humanly towards animals, any animals !
Glad you managed to save the tiny colony and that the queen was with them .
Hope they thrive !
I doubt that this was willfull ignorance, but it certainly was a lack of understanding and probably a panicked civil worker who didn't fully realize the impact outside of concerns of someone being stung.
It's funny. Sometimes things aren't really any one's fault, just misunderstandings and instinctive reactions. Education on things like this definitely helps.
@@hotaru8309 Yes I'll join you on the fact that Education is a very necessary thing in this society, especially for anything that concerns animals and wildlife, even plants.
But sorry, I can't accept the fact that animals that were minding their own business got killed because of a " panicked civil worker " .
If he panicked, why not simply put down the lid gently and mark out the place with tape, ribbon etc and call Mr Dirt Rooster or any other bee keeper , or just the cops to ask what to do ?
That would have been more logical, at least to me,. You don't kill animals or destroy things you don't understand and / or are afraid of .
Real Beeman....save all you can bee..
I am just getting into starting my adventures in beekeeping
Oh man, I've been hoping to see you both in one video FOREVER! And hey, 30whatever bees is better than none!!! I do wish people would save the spray for hornets, wasps etc. Those can all die in a fire. Save all the bees!! 🐝
Awesome
