I stumbled onto Wyoming Armory when I was searching for a reasonably priced color case hardener for my own restorations. I have used them for 2 projects now and have some more in the works. I'm very satisfied with the price and the work. After those 2 projects I came across the Cinnabar channel and heard of Marks mention of Wyoming Armory. I enjoy both very much!
Thanks, but I should have made things clearer. We're expanding to Wyoming, not leaving Oregon full-time. We'll still be ranching and have the shop in Oregon, but most of the gunsmithing will take place in Wyoming. We just won't be exclusively in Oregon anymore.
Mark, good to see you even though you don't have that beautiful background in the mountains behind you hope things are settling in for you and the misses !
Cody is a firearms Mecca. Last time i was there having lunch in the Irma, and John Linebaugh was setting at a window by himself. Its neat to just randomly bump into some well known gun builder at lunch. I could spend days in the Buffalo Bill Museum. Weatherby is just across the lawn and over the hill in Sheridan.
Looks like to me you now have everything you wanted when you were at Paisley. What a great investment for you. Great video hope to see more in the future. Thanks
Thanks Clay! I have a great shop in Paisley, but the staff at Wyoming Armory and the fact that it's in Cody made it an opportunity we couldn't pass up. I'll still be spending a fair amount of time in Paisley as well.
Another great video Mark! You truly make it a treat for us "Easterner's" to experience what you offer us who live far away. Ironically, the 1957 Oldsmobile Super 88 coupe I was lucky enough to purchase a few years back, was in Cody, Wyoming prior to my buying it. I look forward to seeing more videos.
I followed you over! Enjoyed your show for some time and more importantly, learn more. One of my favs is my long slide case hardened 1911................ Oregon is rapidly going downhill w/the rest of the Pacific coastal states.
good luck with your new venture Mark. Hi to Keith and the crew there. Havent been in Cody to say hi to folks for several years. how is Steve doing ? Yoy folks do wonderful work with the old pieces of history>
I can't believe you left that beautiful ranch. But, this looks like a wonderful opportunity to continue what you love. And you certainly have the passion for it! Thanks for introducing your team. Best of luck on this new venture. Well, new for you! Not new for Wyoming Armory. Excited to see your future videos and how things are going as you get settled in with the Wyoming Armory! Jim Gillespie Reno, NV. :)
Congratulations on your new adventure and may be a fun and profitable one I enjoy watching your videos but I will miss your ranch in Oregon that was beautiful scenery.
Glad to see you smiling and safe. That CCH is beautiful. Good luck to all in your new adventure. All western era guns are cool but I need to see some 86’s soon or it didn’t happen
Great overview of the shop! It looks like a very capable and professional restoration and build shop. Im hoping I can swing on by when Im on my way to hunt Idaho mulies next time in 2025.
Thanks for the Video Mark. I'm sure things have been just a little hectic for you. It was nice to put faces to the names. It's going to seem really strange for awhile not watching your videos from the ranch and shop... I remember when I saw your first video and noticed that you live/lived just a very short drive from where I live, I thought that was really cool... It will be nice seeing videos from the armory and to see some of the incredible work they do. The color case demo that Josh did was unreal. Hard to imagine being able to do something so beautiful with heat, coal and water.
Best of luck in a new chapter in your life! You certainly got into a very interesting new pursuit with Wyoming Armoury, I have looked at a lot of their colour case hardening work and it really is superb, the reds are the most difficult to bring out in this process, as you say "alchemy". Stay safe! Chris B.
Congrats on the new venture! I've been watching for quite awhile now and hope that we'll still get to see you shooting out on the ranch. I'm looking forward to seeing more of the new shop's work; thanks for the tour. Looks as though you're going to need a beard... 🙂
Wow, that's really cool! We toured this place back in 2017 or so. George was so nice. Glad to see it's in good hands and will continue on, congratulations!!! Us WY gunsmiths need to collaborate someday...🤔
Good video, sounds like things are going good. Not quite the same as from paisley, my favorite stomping grounds since the late 70’s. But still enjoy your videos and will continue to follow you. Best wishes on your new adventure, god bless.
Hope you guys make a go of it. Economy right now ain't so good for disposable income for stuff like that. I think Keith is from Athens Ga? In any event he is a good guy with tons of knowledge. Good luck y'all...
Looks like you got a good crew to work with. Better not mess with Kieth too much, that dude looks like he could lift a big cannon barrel all by himself.
Good luck in WY. do you have any idea on when you may be doing a video rifling a barrel with that Prat and Whitney rifling machine? and then hopefully and episode of the barrel on a rifle and firing it. Thanks,
Unfortunately, there isn't room in the shop here in Cody for that equipment, so it's still at the shop in Oregon. I just finally found and purchased the deep hole drilling equipment to drill the barrel blanks. We'll be splitting our time between Cody and our ranch. When I'm able to spend time at home, I'll be working through a few guns projects and then getting started on the barreling program. We're hoping things will go well at Cody and we can afford to move into a larger shop and bring the rifling equipment over with us.
Mark, Wyoming Armory seems like a really great place. How does Josh keep from catching his hair on fire ?? Are the gun parts heated with charcoal, the dumped in water in the case hardening process ? Lastly can we set a community of Conservative X Oregonians there ??
My wife and I are slated for a road trip from here in SW Idaho to Iowa this year. Cody and further East to Johnson County were already on the list of stopping points and museums. Looks like I might need to schedule more time in Cody.
God bless, and best wishes.....Illinois here, BUT I LOVE WYOMING, makes my heart warm to know that FREEDOM is still and well in the USA..... Waiting for the day legislators in other states (like mine) realize how valuable that is. TRUMP 24
Congrats on the successful move. We're planning on making the move from the DPRK (Democratic People's Republik of Kalifornia) to Wyoming in a year or two. That should make Wyoming a slightly deeper shade of red. Hope to stop by and maybe get some color case working in a firearm or two.
i recently bought Keiths 7x57R 1885, he/cameron and george built me a 45-70 1885 (off MVA action) and i bought an as new cody ballard #7 off them. They are great guys - such a small world.
That's great! Glad to hear from a satisfied and repeat customer. Wyoming Armory has been doing great work, but not many people knew about them. We're getting the word out now. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Sad we can't count you amongst our rank of freedom loving Oregonians anymore but extremely happy for you that you got this job

Great tour Mark. To everyone else on the video, nice to meet you!
You're very welcome, John!
Mark, good to see you even though you don't have that beautiful background in the mountains behind you hope things are settling in for you and the misses !
The Bighorns are just a bit outside Cody, although he's not in the foothills anymore like he was!
There's some beautiful scenery out here too. I just can't step out the back door anymore, but we're planning some road trips already.
Looks like your fitting in quite well you will be a definite asset to the place with your experience and knowledge
@@thecinnabar8442 Yes, Wyoming is a beautiful place almost moved to Freedom Wyoming a way's back !
Again congratulations on your new venture! Great seeing and meeting the team! Hello 👋🏾 guy’s! 👍🏽😀❤️🇺🇸
Thanks Jeff and thanks for your past business!

What a fantastic group of artisans Look forward to many future videos demonstrating their fascinating skills ❤DJ
Definitely a great group of guys. The crew at Wyoming Armory is a huge part of why my wife and I made this move.
Loved the video, Cousin and hearing about the new adventure for you and Erin Cody! So happy for you both! Teresa
Amazing case coloring! WoW!
What a amazing armory. That color case hardening was just beautiful. Cant wait to see what the future holds for you guys.

Great introduction to Wyoming armory. Thanks for the video keep on keeping on.
Thanks, will do!
Looking forward to seeing the new projects. I may not be able to afford an original, but I can at least look at some of the best. Cheers!
Looks like a great place to call home. Congrats Mark, looks like you have a solid core crew.
Just STUNNING work!!!!
What an exciting adventure! Best of luck to you and your crew.
It looks like you've got a great team there, thanks for bringing us along!
Great to see the new shop, looking forward to more videos.

you guys just made me a highwall breech block, then case hardened it..........beautiful work!
Awesome...hoping you see you at the Lakeview Gun Show (but understand if you don't make it), always fun to be set up next to you.
Thanks. Unfortunately, I'll probably miss the spring show this year. I've pretty well got my hands full here in Cody this spring.

Very Impressive Mark! Looking forward to seeing more soon. 👍👍
Congratulations on your new venture !!!! Will be watching 🙂
Wonderful video, thank you. At 9:54, the rifle looks more like a Winchester low wall than a highwall . . .
Very exciting! 😎 looks like a great crew.
Cant wait to see things progress. Thanks for sharing.

Thanks Brian! We'll still be spending plenty of time on the ranch near Paisley. This is more of an expansion of our operation than a full-time move.
Thank you for the video and ill keep Wyoming Armory in mind for future gun work needs. 👍👍
Thanks Mark.

The colour case hardening what do you quench the parts in.
I can think of a few projects to bring you guys this summer.
We'll look forward to seeing you this summer and seeing those projects. 😉

…wonder what happened to the -57 Mercury… Good Luck, Mark 🙌🏻
this is going to be extremely interesting content to watch .....wonder if that giant gun advertisement sign in the old photo still exist somewhere
That would be very cool. There's one on a candy store here in Cody that used to be a gun store. I'm planning to try to talk them out of it.
@@thecinnabar8442 i'd bet its still around , post some wanted signs and it may eventually show up :)
Can anyone fab flat springs from scratch for musket locks??
Is that a Nardini lathe?

Hi guys. Is Steve involved in the operation?
where to get a stock for a pioneer 26 22 s l lr
Numrich cross reference lists them as being the same as the Savage model 5B and Savage model 86E. Good luck on your search.
