Replacing the noisy Icom IC-7300 fan with a quieter one !

I am replacing the noisy stock cooling fan on an Icom IC-7300. Many have used this new fan to eliminate the fan noise being picked up in the background while transmitting.

but wats the fan speed on each fan because if the new fan is a lower speed than the icom fan that means the radio will get hotter under load

I do not know the specs, However I have had long QSOs @ 100W with no issues on the Icom getting hot at all. I do wish Icom had a "Q-fan" or quiet fan replacement or option at purchase. Many have completed this fan upgrade and reported no issues as well. Thanks for watching ! 73

from experience, with this mod, the back of the rig gets so hot it burns fingers around the coax connector while the temp gauge reads ‘cool’. Can’t run more than 25w with high duty cycle with this fan mod.
