Icom IC 7300 Tips and Tricks - Installing the Icom USB Driver on Windows 10

The first step to using the Icom IC-7300 with software such as RS-BA1, Ham Radio Deluxe, N1MM or others, it to install the Icom USB Driver. I'm using Windows 10, but the process is similar for other versions.

Thanks. This beats ICOM's instructions by a long shot. Theirs had me looking for "Installation Icons on the Taskbar" which never appeared.

The driver shows as a device in my Win10 machine, but I can't get N1MM+ to connect to the IC7300, get 'radio not responding' repeatedly

I had a problem and figured it out dont try to run it with out extracting it first Duh LOL but i got it to install i am happy KG5CUO 73

Icom Canada support told me that this USB driver is already included Win 10 64bit installation. I found this to be true. Don't know about Win 7 or 8.

+Chris Bull in my experience, Windows 7, 8, and 10 64 bit all manage to usually install the correct driver automatically. However, I have seen cases where it needs manual intervention, therefore I made the videos for those that need help. Thanks for the comment!

Does anyone know for sure if the driver for 7300 64 bit machine under windows 10 is really already installed? I just tried to load the downloaded driver on a brand new machine and got the error message that is could not load under the current OS (That being Win 10). I saw where another person tried to download the latest driver direct from Silicon. Should I just attach the USB cable to my new machine and expect it to install since it is possible that the driver is aleady installed???
