The GMRS version should have a G at the end of the FCC ID. There are two separate approved FCC IDs in the FCC site.

The light is the only good part, and I have no issue with the signal cause of the light. CB is a novelty not HAM radio desperate for every inch of distance

Is there a number I could call on where we can talk that is if are willing to help me .I have 4 cobra 148s I decent condition.but none have extra channels. I'm mostly looking for at least 40 lower frequencies don't really go higher than 20 high. Could you help me please

I just got one of these for $50 shipped. Not sure if it works, but for that kind of money, I don't really care. I can either fix it, bypass the amp or insert an entirely different class D amp board in there.

The fact that you have to add shipping sort of cancels out the discount . If a person is already a prime member , you may pay a little more , but the shipping is free . Which sort of makes the end prices similar , just sayin

I have this radio and mine keys up to 30 watts. I have changed the LED display to blue, and the keys. It works great. At night it does shine the blue in my car. But it works great. When I was living in North Texas, it is very live with CB talkers. I moved to south Louisiana, and will soon have my antenna up in the air. As well as my Ham antenna. Also on my Ranger RCI 2950, the LED was a little weak. So I had some Led's ready. Just not the original color. So that is why I went with blue. The top is 5mm, and the buttons size is 3mm.

I never understood why the ranger sets never fitted a standard ctcss encoder in set stock? What I didn't realise in UK/EU on 10m/11m we use narrower deviation system,than USA 20kc spacing at 4.0khz deviation. But luckily it can be converted to 10kc spaced fm at 2.00khz dev ctcss at 300Hz deviation. Best of luck with ctcss 👍 73's rob.p UK

That battery pack looks like it uses two 18650 lithium batteries. Someone should make a pack that holds replacement ones.

If you haven't already, you might go into how the high and low power settings can be changed. Some users are reporting lower than expected power, particularly the lower setting. If that is a user setting, it may have just left the factory set wrong.

Video is at least three times the length it should be. One way to shorten it is to remove all instances of saying "go ahead", or "go 'head".

this switch is energy efficient, packed with features, and its made by Cisco. I am planning on getting one of this in 2024 to replace my 3750-E. somehow, this switch is still under Cisco support until 2027. Since it's widely used by data center, this switch is insanely cheap now. but the only problem I have with it is that it doesnt really looks that great, especially when compared with the 2960L. But anyway, I think im gonna get one, cause this one save so much energy. I was wondering, can you get software update from Cisco for free?

Hi sir, I have rci2970 1st Gen. The problem with this is that the volume is very weak. With the volume all the way up, you have to put your ear closer to hear the signal. Sounds like the RF gain is set to zero even though the knob is all the way up. I have replaced the TA7222AP and all transistors on the side the result is still the same. Maybe you can help me sir what else should I check so that I can change it and use it again.

Just getting into gmrs radios to have when i go off-roading and was wondering if it is chargeable from a 12 volt source from the vehicle ? Would not be around a 110 electric source.

Solid information and overview of this radio. Great job on the video. Love the radio frequency coverage too, that's awesome. From this end though, that display makes my eyes bleed. Hard to believe that's what they went with in the 21st century. I'll give them the benefit of the doubt that they were just keeping it cheap and simple. Perhaps it looks better in real life.
