If and when that happens I don't care about the gear he uses or the software he uses. I want to know how he got "in" with the big name record producers.
Very cool, TLA is the man!! .. just had a thought, Tom, why don't you run a stereo mult of your main output into a small ADC and set that to 48k capture into the DMU30? That way you can work in 96 and still use the dmu30 for metering. ❤
A sweet man and a Sonic Jedi. I cherish the time I got to watch him Mix one of my records. So glad he's still Spankin!...does he still have the sony zs-m1?
Something that makes this such a great interview is that it’s not about “how was it, working with suchandsuch” which is fine, but I’m least tuning in to hear about the actual artist behind the board. Also, “how did you get your start” seems like a question they all have to answer hundreds of times. I fully enjoyed this one.
Hey, those Atomic power supplies and the ramping… I can’t find any info about how ramp circuits work. How fast is this ramp sequence? Less or more than 1 second?
Tom Lord-Alge.....my BF76 fan brother! Dont' meet to many of us types Mr Interviewer.....which model console do you have that you need to jump where the computer usually is? EDIT just noticed your website...4kE? And thank you again for hosting such a good interview.....you are very good at it and I really appreciate it
@@makebelievestudio thanks man! Was kinda hoping it may have been a 9k.....trying to power some modules and running into a wall. Your mention of jumping across the computer section made me wonder if that's what the problem might be. Haven't gotten around to trying again yet.
This is a great interview. The guy selling the genesis console is a constant piss take over here in the UK. They sell stuff for a stupid mark up knowing somebody somewhere is going to fall for it.
the greatest Lord-Alge brother
Great Interview :) Serban Interview needed! I think that I am not alone :)

Serban destroyed Blink 182's new album, sounds like shit.
I wish Tom mixed it.
@@makebelievestudioI'll settle for Andy Wallace
Man…. Legend after legend. Also kudos to you for getting the best TLA interview I’ve seen.
Tom is the man! :)
This is the coolest interview I've ever heard
@@XCenturionX thank you so much!!
One of the best interviews with a mixer 1:12:38 I’ve ever heard. Oddly enough, the second best was Beato with CLA
TLA is really cool, really gracious with his time & knowledge
Awesome conversation
Thank you Rick, I love Tom's work and Tom.
Learned a lot in this interview.
True legend. Great job Rick and the gang
props. you were such a good hang and interview, got alot of great info out. awesome job
Great interview mate.
And boys: atmos will go away. 99 percent of consumers don’t even know it exists.
We can only hope..
Thanks for the prophesy, it's great when you find internet people with a crystal ball!
Advice - shoot cut aways of the gear you are talking about after you've finished the interview then put it in the edit as your talking about the gear!
B roll!
I've been looking forward to this
thanks for watching my dude!!!
Man this was awesome
Thanks so much dude!!
Awesome interview, thank you. Good to see TLA is still relying on his console and hasn't moved ITB a 100%.
I love Interviews Like this! Thank you guys for that!
Manny Marroquin would be awesome! 😁
😃 That intro was classic! Great vid
Thanks dude!

Can someone explain that tom filter trick because I'm not understanding how you do that without automation?
Audio suite or clip effects depending on what daw your in
Always interesting to listen to such a pro but tough to not hear all them "You know" all the time.
Who’s the better mixer, him or CLA?
Each is a little better than the other.
The Origin has really good mic amps. I mean you don’t miss anything using those.
