@julio-_2531 I know microstransactions are in the game you'd be stupid to think otherwise in the modern landscape what I'm saying is look at the trailer there are no microtransaction in the gameplay bits like they tend to do side note Charlieintel does get things wrong sometimes however I didn't know that so I'll believe it for now

It still beats the seasonal "prestige" we have now. Even if you didn't get a single reward for leveling, this is still better.

They told us that the multiplayer takes place AFTER the campaign and the maps are campaign locations. The satellite map that’s “at night” is the multiplayer map, the one we see during the day is the campaign mission, NOT MP.
As with every cod game..
That's how multiplayer started out. They used locations from the campaign.
By now they know to adjust the areas to better fit MP.
I figured it would be like a post-nuke killstreak makeover. Kind of like in og MW3 the map would turn reddish for the rest of the game, or KEM strikes changing some maps in Ghosts.

For the map differences explanation; one of the developers in the direct video said that MP maps are based off the campaign missions and that MP takes place after campaign and you will see the results in the MP maps which explain why they will look different compare to the campaign design, they just didn’t want to spoil anything during the direct. I almost missed that but glad I caught

4 years of development for a 1 year life cycle feels absolutely CRIMINAL.
Classic prestige coming back is great but hilarious, because it was implied that the seasonal prestige HAD to be in the game in order to keep play time numbers up thus bundle sales. Meanwhile they (activision) couldve brought it back anytime 😂😂
The map day and map night variants were shown when they were talking about how multiplayer takes place after the campaign so the map day is probably the variant before or during the campaign and the map night variant is in multiplayer so after the campaign.
been a cod fan since early 2000s.. can honestly say this seems like a cold war reskin with a few improvements. it’s been 4 years and they couldn’t develop a new engine? sad man.
this is literally the most improvement we’ve had in gameplay since bo3, they’re actually changing things up and creating a new skill barrier

Developing a graphics engine is no easy task, it's lengthy as f*ck. Ask Godot developers, Cyberpunk developers or anyone you'd like. Moreover, it also means you'd need to adapt existing tooling like Radiant to build maps and such or make some new tools from scratch, and you also need to train your staff on said engine and deliver a quality product... in just 4 years? That's not how the industry works.
To accomplish such a feat, Treyarch should've started creating a new engine at least a couple of CoD development cycles ago. And that doesn't take into account the fact that the Modern Warfare engine works very well, there's no reason to change something that works well and developers have mastered by now.
Level 1000 will be an animated calling card and emblem 😂
This movement system is the only thing that could bring me back to CoD. It's what I've been saying in comments they should do for years. I even said we'll have to wait for a Black Ops for any big changes. I feel like a prophet.
the section you were talking about the changing map is actually the campaign and multiplayer versions they were talking about in the reveal
I'll wait till the game officially releases before I decide if I want to play this or not. Haven't bought a cod since bo4 and unless they take out sbmm I'll stick with xdefiant.
not sure why everyone’s still hating. omnimovement, prestige system, zombies, 16 maps, more QoL features, etc. just these things alone set it apart from the past few cods.
it’s because a good portion of these people enjoy being a hater, they weren’t planning on buying/playing the game regardless of how it came out but they’ll still hyper criticize every single little aspect of it, instead of being a regular person and move on to something else

If they actually remove SBMM this game could totally bring back the 2007-2012 veterans. Until that happens, Cod will never relive the glory days. It's a shame because Blops 6 actually looks fantastic.
Edit: I know there will be people replying saying "they'll never remove it so get used to it". To those people, I say read my second last line again.
Look at XDefiant, no eomm/sbmm and it's a sweatfest. It will be no different with COD if they remove it. People are just too used to trying all the time

They’re never going to give you a reward that’s cooler than anything in the shop. There’s a reason that whenever the game is on fire and has a ton of bugs, the only thing that is consistently updated is the shop.
I need hands on with the game before getting excited it could be a step in the right direction, It could be just another way to get into peoples wallets and screw the consumer over. This happens, so much with people getting hype saying we back then upset on launch when the trailer and stuff looked good and the game is nothing like what was shown.
I think it would be super cool for the maps, instead of having variants, to start with a random set of time/weather to give a different feel every time. Keep the layout exactly the same, but have different rain, wind, lighting effects
I haven’t purchased a cod since black ops 3. This game will not break that cycle.

I was the same as you. Basically didn’t play any of the COD’s past BO3. Came back to try MW2 2022 and played a bit of MW3. Let me tell you, you’re not missing much and you’re saving yourself a lot of heartache and frustration by not involving yourself with this franchise.

Hopefully the game movement is twice as fast as mw3 and you should have a significant advantage when jumping in gunfights. Sliding should enable you to dodge bullets and jumping around a corner should make you invincible.
As someone who loved BO3, I'm hyped for Omnimovement. We've needed a new type of advanced movement.

I was watching one of your oldest games today and it was the M16 on BO1. Wow the game was 10x slower back them. I think thats a massive part of why old school COD players dont like it anymore. Of course theres SBMM too.

I'm an old cod fan of cod4, MW2, world at war and black ops 1. the modern warfare 2 remake was the first one I'd bought since the 360 days and i really liked all the slower movement and quick TTK but with them going back to the twitchy/speed gameplay I dont think I'm gonna be returning. Especially with a ridiculous $110AU pricetag and questionable at best if you could even play all of it it after a year. I hope more people end up buying Military Conflict: Vietnam instead.

So bittersweet at just HOW GOOD this looked! I quite literally asked for this movement system OVER A YEAR AGO on one of your videos, so I was quite flabbergasted when I saw that they were actually doing it! (I can provide a link to the comment for any of you doubters too!) Beyond that, seeing the graphics, new animations, them bringing back the Prestige system, the customizable HUD, and just the setting itself, this looks phenomenal, it’s just disappointing knowing Activision will clamp down on the fun with its killjoy SBMM

I will not be rewarding CoD by doing the bare minimum. "The return of prestige mode!" "Round based zombies is back!" Okay, you've done the bare minimum that you had already been accomplishing over a decade ago. I'm not a fan of what we've seen so far with omnimovement, but at they tried to do something different, which is the only praise I will give them. 16 completely new maps? Again, you're now doing what you already did a decade ago. I'm not excited for this game.
Also, can we talk about how this game is apparently (saw it from a buddy of mine and I'm not sure where he found it) 309.8 GB!!? That's insane.

I think what they’re showing off with the satellite map you mentioned is the fact that the MP maps take place after the campaign finished, so during the day is probably in the campaign and during the night most likely in MP. That’s my take on it

The game looks good and I’ll probably play the free beta and I have gamepass so I’ll definitely try it, but really as long as the SBMM or EOMM remain there’s no point.

If you listen to the direct when they show that map with the radar thing, they talk about how some Multiplayer maps take place after the campaign. The daytime variant is probably the campaign mission and then the wrecked one is probably the actual multiplayer version of the map. I don’t think the nice sunny one will be in multiplayer.
Crazy how SHG and Treyarch do the opposite of IW, looking to forward to trying this game out looks like an improved cold war
IW also helped with BO6, which is why doors are back in multiplayer

I think they said something about the mutliplayer maps being tied into the campaign, for example, if the campaign take places on the satellite desert map during the day, we play the multiplayer map after the campaign's events at night

Pretty sure the 2 variants of the satellite dish map is just how it looks in campaign vs as a multiplayer map. They showed it around the time they were talking about how the multiplayer maps took place after the campaign too.

I think the omni-movement will be nice for some aspects of the gameplay, but generally it'll be annoying, because it'll speed up transitions from dive, prone, reverse 180°, etc.
Maybe the satellite map is like maps from ghosts which had live events that changed up the map alongside map specific kill streaks and Easter eggs etc

They added doors when the whole selling point of cold war was going back to no doors. The game is automatically a 6/10 out of the box.
For the map that changes from day to night, they said multiplayer takes place after the campaign. While they were showing that map the lady said the night version is the post campaign version.

The Conduit on the wii had a fully customizable Ui as well. In 2009. No sbmm either.
They made it clear why satellite map had day/night version. They said MP takes place after Campaign after all the destruction then they gave us a side by side. The day version is campaign-only the night is MP.

I loved cold war - the only major flaw to its fundamental game design in my opinion was the scorestreak system. Since that's fixed this time around, I'm really looking forward to this!

As you say, most people will try out the new movement scene but then they will play in the simplest way. But from the videos it seems like something spectacular but I honestly don't think it will be.
I wonder what Call of Duty will finally give people the ability to change what handedness you are. I’m definitely a right hand shooter but it’d be cool to see people change it to a left hand shooter

I see they didn’t mention the number one thing that people have an issue with. SBMM. I don’t play games that don’t have an option to escape SBMM. I don’t buy them. I don’t play the free version. I just don’t. And that’s not going to change because the new COD looks awesome. And it really does look awesome. Oh well. Connection based match making is make or break for me.
I think the map youre talking about was how it looks in the campaign vs. how It looks in MP. Something about the maps being the fallout from the campaign story.

Almost looks the same as cold war. Even the metals popping up looks the same. For something that's been in development for 3-4 years we should expect things to be different then any other game they have made not just hud or ui. Am I wrong?
