I just recently found out. He did a follow up song to this, but I would love you to react to called. Have we forgotten that describes more of the situation going on now?
I actually met Darly Worley at the first WWE tribute to the troops event. I was the NCOIC of his security detail. About a year later after I had redeployed, I was doing security for a concert of his in Colorado Springs, CO. It was before his show during the meet and greet and after all the meet and greet people left, I walked up to him and asked if he remembered me. Well I was wearing a cowboy hat at the time, he was like you look very familiar. Asked me to take off the cowboy hat and he was instantly you were my security in Iraq. Definitely a moment I will never forget . Awesome dude
I will never forget. Standing in the front of my medical office watching the second plane hit the towers and I was calling my National Guard base in seconds. I was told to attend a Commander’s Call that evening and nothing was ever the same.
I was in 6th grade on 9/11, and I still miss/mourn the America of September 12, 2001, and I completely agree it is long gone. I will continue to mourn THAT America.
I was so confused when my brother came home from Iraq and Afghanistan deployments. He was gone for 3 years without me seeing him. He was different when he came back. He said to listen to Darryl Worley's song I Just Came Back from a War. It really put things in perspective to listen to understand it, not just to enjoy the music. Y'all might enjoy it. Not even asking for a reaction. Just for y'all to give it a listen.
Thank you for playing that song. The memories it brought to me. It is a very personal song for me. No I have not forgotten and never will. I will not give up on the unity we had the days after.
I was born in 99 I was 3 when 9/11 happened. I couldn’t remember if I tried, BUT I am extremely patriotic, and I respect all our military! Thank you to all our military folks out there, and I hope we get the peace most of y’all wish for stronger than any civilian.
One of the best "celebrity" stories that came from 9-11 is Steve Buschemi (sp) sneaking into his old firehouse, suiting up and helping with the rescue efforts. Prior to him becoming an actor, he was a firefighter.
Unfortunately, yes, the country as a whole has forgotten. But you can best believe I have not and never will! My dad was a firefighter, I was in second grade when it happened, and I can tell you the name of the teacher in the class that cut the TV on. I remember sitting in the classroom wondering, will my dad be going there? I have made it a point to not work in any way every year on 9/11, and I believe it needs to be a nationwide "holiday"!
I was home sick from school, 6th grade, so my mom and I were together the whole day watching the news, just crying and holding each other. A week later, my sister who had not been in contact with us for over a decade called and we reconnected with her. The impact of that horrible day will last forever in my heart
Such a powerful tune! I think you guys would also like “Riding With Private Malone” by David Ball! But you need to listen to the words! I think you guys would both appreciate it!🤘🏼
@@Dobbythehouseelf-ug5pu thank you for the request. In case they read it I have supplied the link for that video. Guys I agree please react to 'Private Malone' ua-cam.com/video/gh1m0eC1004/v-deo.html
I absolutely loved this reaction! You are right, there are so many young adults and children that only watch videos at school. My children had an assignment to watch said videos at home and I will be honest, I cried my heart out all over again. I remember talking to my mom about it and she compared it to President Kennedy being shot. I could only see the videos. I will never forget that fear, the hysteria, and the unity we had as a country. I miss that unity now. Great song and great review, my guys!
This song gets me every time!! I had 2 Nephews Over Seas, 1 in Kuwait and 1 that Spent 2 Tours In Iran... They Came Home In 2005 Thank God!!! For Every Man And Woman That Have And Do Serve !! Thank You For Your Time and Service It's Greatly Appreciated!! God Bless Each And Every One Of You!!! 🇺🇸 🌹❤️🙏
I will never forget I was New York City when the north tower fell I had friends that sacrifice their life to save people I remember getting evacuated off the island
To me patriotism isn't same as political....5th generation air force; our whole family may not agree on party differences, but love for our country, and flag, and servicemen and women will prevail🇺🇸👍🥰
Love this song. And I completely agree that we as a nation have forgotten that American unity we had on September 11th and 12th. Another song that is great like this is Lee Greenwood God bless the USA.
My oldest was 2 weeks old when 9/11 happened. I vowed to never let my family forget. My son is now serving in the US Army, currently overseas. This song gets me everytime. And I agree I wish we could go back to the unity we had on 9/12. Thank you for your reaction.
The song was released on March 10, 2003. The memory of 9-11 was fading for those who lost nothing, but those that lost much felt it like yesterday. Middle East countries were lobbying for the US to take the video off the screen. It is this context in which the song was written.
I wrote a poem about 911 shortly after it happened. I was going to see Darrell Worley in concert after this song came out, and I sent a copy of my poem to his management before his concert, hoping he would get it. Unfortunately, he didn't mention it, and I never did find out if he actually got it. He did put on a good show, tho.
Great song. You are right, I myself miss the love for our neighbors and country, that we all felt after 9/11. I remember being at the tower site. The giant hole in the ground and the lives lost. It is hard for me to understand. How does anyone forget. Darryl and Allen Jackson really hit you in your feels. Great reaction guys. Your both kicking ass. Very entertaining. ✌️🇺🇸🙏
Well, those of us old enough to REALLY grasp the gravity didn't FORGET, I think the problem is that we didn't make a priority for younger generations to understand. To put that into perspective, a friend of mine deployed right after HS graduation, he married his HS sweetheart just prior to leaving, 18 years later his SON shipped out to the same war. Horrible. They both came home, but the younger adults now have grown up with the bitching and complaining about us being there, their teachers telling them how horrible we are, etc And we didn't do OUR job well enough of balancing that out with the counter-argument
My cousin was going to get a job 2 weeks prior to 9/11 something told her not to take it and if she would have she would have passed away and I wouldn't have my little cousin today so I still remember everything that happened that day it was so close to my cousin not being here
I had worked at 195 Broadway (a block up from WTC) for 13 years, but was working in NJ and watched it on TV at the time this happened. I used to come up in the WTC subway every day. I can't get over NYC now. The people have certainly forgotten.
I have absolutely not forgotten. I don't know how anyone can forget where they were and what they were doing on that day. Thank you for your reactions.
This is such a great song and thank you so much to the lady who requested that song. It is heartbreaking how much unity has been lost and how much hate their is for our country. The new song by Tom MacDonald and John Rich is wonderful because it reminds us if we lose our country or the whole world what have we lost?
My daughter was in the 5th grade and when 9/11 happened, she said lots of students overhead teachers talking about "the towers" and she said that her and the rest of the kids thought they were talking about cell phone towers. But you can believe she fully knows about it as does her younger brother. I pulled up the footage and made them watch it. Every year on 9/11, we watched a little bit of the footage, so they would never forget. We did that until they got out on their own. Some might think that's wrong, but oh well.....
This was a wonderful reaction, this song always brings me a big range of emotions. Sadly, many many Americans choose to not remember, it is easier to pretend that life is rosy and they don't want to know that other people are paying for the easy life they live. It doesn't matter how poor or how hard life is in America, it is still better than 2/3 of the world, our media and education system do a good job of keeping those facts out of our mind.

I was 19, living in the house next door to my parents' house. Came over for breakfast and my mom had the news on. I thought it was a horrible accident at first and was hoping no one was in the buildings, only to think about it harder and realize what time it would be over there. I did nothing else all day, even though I'd had lots of plans. Can't remember what those plans were now, they're unimportant... but I remember my thoughts, feelings and movements of that day. Can't remember what I had for dinner 3 nights ago but 9/11 will be ingrained on my memory forever.
Unfortunately, I believe you’re right again! As Dustin said, there are sooooo many people who were either too young to understand or not born yet! I know they don’t teach about it in schools, which they should, because I have had to educate my youngest son who was born in 2004! I have always spoken to him about that time in our lives, because my Aunt had just gotten off the subway in the Trade Center when the second plane struck. Had my little cousin not made her late to work, she would have been in the North Tower…..it was also the same cousin who got sick, made my Aunt stay home, so the missed the explosion in 93! Anyway, my son took a school trip to DC and New York in the 8th grade. Before he left, I explained the significance of him being on that Sacred Ground as well as being gratefully respectful while visiting there, Arlington Cemetery and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. I feel it’s important for us to teach our children true history and the rights and wrongs of it all so as not to repeat it! They NEED to know!
Thank you for finally reacting to this song. Darryl loves our troops. He has been to Afghanistan 16 times on his own dime to play for our troops. He has many songs in support of thr military. A true patriot.
Sadly, I don't remember anything about that day as I was only 4 years old, but that doesn't lessen the hurt and sadness I feel for everything that happened that day 💔
This song came out in April 2003. Hope that helps you two remember what was happening in that time frame. I’m trying to stay non political, so I’ll leave it there. The other song Where were You by Alan Jackson was written and released in 2001.
I was five years old and I still remember that day vividly it's actually one of my earliest memories and that feeling has for the most part stuck with me every sense
Great song, awesome message..super reaction. Alot of personal memories and stories. Respect too you both for not going off. I myself couldn't do it. That's why I watch. 🇺🇲🇺🇲
I was 7 years old when it happened and I do remember it i do live in Pennsylvania so when I hear that line somevwent down like heroes in that Pennsylvania field really gets me
He wrote this song rather quickly. He was in the service, I want to say a Marine but I'm not sure. My husband and I saw him do a concert for the vets in the area in Washington, PA. He is awesome. Thank you for reacting to this.
Darrly Worley was never in the service. He has done a bunch of USO tours but he has never served in the military. I believe you are mistaken him with Craig Morgan.
I will never forget that day and the way it felt to watch all that went on. I felt the same feeling watching what happened on January 6. Music that makes you feel can also help to heal.
I was six years old, home sick from school, and remember watching something on TV when the news broadcast cut through. I vividly remember peeking out and watching as the towers collapsed. I'll never forget where I was or what I was doing.
I was 17 and will never forget it or where I was. A family member worked at the pentagon (we live in the DMV area) and for hours we could not reach him. Everyone just sat in tears with fear and sadness and so many other emotions 😢
It was my first trip to NY. I will Never Forget. Turning 50 soon, to be there and then catch red eye on 9/10 and land the next morning in California and see it all over the tv.
I love this song. It says a lot about our society and how we treat people today. You're right people have forgotten and it is so sad to see how people are treating each other.
I grew up on the Jersey side of the Hudson River, across from mid-town. I remember trying to track down family and friends that day. I also remember finding out a friend was "missing". He raced to the towers as a police officer and a paramedic and he was never found. I will never forget.
Beautiful reaction guys & just in tears. This song has long been on my playlist; when it plays now, after recent events, I get incredibly sad😔 And as y’all say- that’s about all I’ll say. After the attacks, my then-young son asked me why I cried every time someone talked about 9/11 or it came on TV. I told him the simple truth: Because Mommy misses 9/10. But y’all are 💯correct- On 9/12 we were so united. We were one party and one race: American. How it should be ALWAYS. The only good thing- and I do mean ONLY😩- about getting older is we may be gone before the whole thing implodes😏 Worley has a great song that I believe to also be an important song, esp for returning soldiers & those who love & care for them!! “I Just Came Back From a War’. Really hope y’all will consider reacting🙏🏼 Always fun & informative; Thank You! Stay safe & love much💖
Thank you for this great reaction video and keeping most of the politics out🤗 one thing I absolutely love about you guys is the fact that you really interact with your fans! I hope you continue to do so even as your popularity keeps growing. You guys are my favorite UA-cam channel ❤️
Just for a frame of reference, Darryl released this song in 2003, when he felt people had forgotten. Although I didn't know anyone who lost their life on 9/11, but as an American, this song hits hard, even today. I will never forget.
I was 14 and a firefighter explorer sent there to search for people in the rubble I'll never forget that day the sight of seeing what I saw was life changing
My brother was 4, he doesn’t understand why my mom and I still cries when we see the footage. And now he’s 25 and he understands what happened, but doesn’t “get it” he can conceptualize but it’s not a tiny hole in his heart like it is for the rest of us.
This is one of my absolute favorites! And to answer his question… No I have not forgotten! I know y'all don't want to get political on here, and I don't blame you. However, I watched Dustin and his emotion that was all over his face. I'd love to hear what he has to think about this song. I worked at the law firm that Filed the 9/11 litigation. One of our cocounsel worked in the north tower. He was an elderly man who had never been late a day in his life for work. He was always the first one there and the last one to leave. On 9/11, he was late for work! Had I not heard it out of his mouth, I wouldn't have believed it. A friend of mine from high school worked in the Pentagon at that time. It just so happened that he was in another state and work related issues. Y'all might want to take a listen to his other song called "I Miss My Friend." It's a really good song. Keith Worley - I Miss My Friend ua-cam.com/video/8zNf4sOO_mg/v-deo.html LadyGator1983
I have not and will never forget, I was stationed at ft.knox when it happened, I am now currently a post commander for the VFW post 2921 in Louisville KY. This is not me bragging but just simply saying my patriotism did not end when my military job was done. Just a proud veteran
This song is going to mean different things to different ages of people. For me, it hits close to home. My ex was Military Intelligence and we lived in Northern Germany during the mid to late 80's. Kids couldn't play in sand boxes. We couldn't be out on the economy after a certain time of day. We had to keep our curtains pulled. Soldiers with M16's guarding the kids as they came and went from school. It was a difficult time to live in after the bombing of the bar/night club. Each generation seems to have a "Do You Remember" event Going back decades. Our country carries many scars, we don't need to ever forget. Forgive, not live in fear but stay cautious, yes. Great song.
This came out a couple years after the towers went down and he wanted to remind ppl of why we were still at war because there was ppl that didn’t want to go to war and didn’t want to fight for what happened…
With great respect on everything that happened that day people stood up and no one talks about it anymore. What a shame for the ones lives where lost. I think about them everyday
I don’t know about anyone else on here but I can see the passion you both have for our Country . I will never forget 9/11 how could someone that was alive and an adult forget what happened to fellow Americans . Nor will I forget the days we said goodbye to our cousins as they left for Vietnam and when they came home the look in their eyes had changed . I work in the School District here in our town . The children growing up now days have no idea about 9/11 it’s not really discussed even in High School . War is a horrid thing but sometimes necessary. I would subscribe to a channel where we could talk politics all day shut yea . Love y’all’s reactions And yea we like bourbon here also !

I wasn’t even a year old but still know if it and think fighting back was the best thing. Never show an enemy that you’re not willing to fight.
Will to fight is one of the most crucial factors in victory or defeat. - Keith
I for one will NEVER forget.
A dear friend of mine died on that plane in that Pennsylvania field I will never forget that day.
Sorry for your loss. You and many others will have strong memories. - Keith
Yeahhhh, it takes a little restraint. - Keith
“Bourbon Guy’s” facial expressions are always fun, but in this one was so pure and honest that it is probably my favorite so far.
You'll always get an honest shake from us -Dustin
I was thinking the same thing. You could see every emotion he was feeling on his face. Keep it up “Bourbon Guy”.
Drink guy respect for the drink on the Pennsylvania field folks.
I was 7 years old when it happened and I do remember it i do live in Pennsylvania so when I hear that line somevwent down like heroes in that Pennsylvania field really gets me
June 13,2023 and I still remember every single minute of that day
He wrote this song rather quickly.
@@stevebournite184 I know Craig Morgan was, but I thought I read somewhere that Darrel had been, also. If I was mistaken, I'm sorry.
Still, good on him for doing USO shows. - Keith
I will never forget that day and the way it felt to watch all that went on. I felt the same feeling watching what happened on January 6. Music that makes you feel can also help to heal.
I will never forget!!!💔🇺🇸💔🇺🇸
Bardstown Guy here, Phifer is produced, Fi-Fher. Common name in Nelson County KY
THANK YOU! - Keith
The song you were thinking about is where were you when the world stopped turning by Alan Jackson
Yep!
I was six years old, home sick from school, and remember watching something on TV when the news broadcast cut through. I vividly remember peeking out and watching as the towers collapsed. I'll never forget where I was or what I was doing.
He lives in my hometown. I’ve actually worked on some of his outdoor power equipment. He act’s just like your everyday man.
God Bless the U.S.A. . ✌💞🙏
I was 17 and will never forget it or where I was. A family member worked at the pentagon (we live in the DMV area) and for hours we could not reach him. Everyone just sat in tears with fear and sadness and so many other emotions 😢
I haven't forgot,,from a small town in Virginia
Lots haven't. - Keith
This song came out right after 9/11 happened a lot of songs were written about it at the time this was one of the best ones. Great reaction
It was my first trip to NY. I will Never Forget. Turning 50 soon, to be there and then catch red eye on 9/10 and land the next morning in California and see it all over the tv.
Near misses can certainly be unnerving. I've had so many I've lost count. -Keith
I Remember !
He and plenty of others who acted with true valor that day. - Keith
My son was in the Army at the time even if not I would/will NEVER forget.
Great reaction. I always tear up listening to this song, and I will NEVER forget! Btw, I'm a new subscriber.
Thanks for watching. And no, we won't be forgetting either. - Keith
The only good thing- and I do mean ONLY😩- about getting older is we may be gone before the whole thing implodes😏
Worley has a great song that I believe to also be an important song, esp for returning soldiers & those who love & care for them!! “I Just Came Back From a War’. Really hope y’all will consider reacting🙏🏼
Always fun & informative; Thank You!
We really do try to interact with you guys in the comments. - Keith
Love this song. I have not forgotten.
Yep. Was alive for it, but didn't really live it. - Keith
Thank you for your review and how well you express yourself.
Thanks for watching. - Keith

I love “I miss my friend” with the official video.
I've added 3 votes for I miss my friend -Dustin
Great song.
A very close friend of mine lived that with you in Germany. - Keith
This came out a couple years after the towers went down and he wanted to remind ppl of why we were still at war because there was ppl that didn’t want to go to war and didn’t want to fight for what happened…
That will always happen when there's conflict. - Keith
I still remember exactly where I was & how I felt that day. I don’t believe I’ll ever forget it either.
Most won't. - Keith
With great respect on everything that happened that day people stood up and no one talks about it anymore. What a shame for the ones lives where lost. I think about them everyday
Love this song.ill never forget
Nor will many others. - Keith
I wii certainly remember 9/11. I still cry when I think about what happened that terrible day.
THER'SAN UPDATE HAVE WE FORGOTTEN
Thanks!
also, LOVE this song.
Listening from Austin Indiana
My little brother says they are now teaching about 9/11 in history class. And I was only 6 when that happened
Ok, that makes me feel old. - Keith
My uncle was at meeting in the pentagon. Took him all day to get home and thankfully he made it out.
Glad he got out. - Keith
It was on my 36th birthday and I was an EMT some of my paramedic friends went to New York from Meade County Kentucky
Eric Church "STICK THAT IN YOUR COUNTRY SONG"
Added a vote -Dustin
December 7 pearl harbor and September 11 New York should both be national holidays respecting the soldiers and civilian's we lost on those days
He has a new song “Send me”, brought me to my knees when I heard this! USMC vets view
Added that to the list -Dustin
This song always makes me cry.
Tyvm for this. Should be played EVERYDAY for EVER. Especially when the border is open!
