Thanks Cat! That’s an old one. I have trouble watching those older vids now because I’ve learned so much about raising the quality. But, for the time, that was about as good as I could do! Thanks for your nice comment!!
Came out great Brian !!! I actually bought a Sand blaster and Powder coating system after years of hand sanding and painting Bikes and parts. I have a 6 gallon pancake compressor and Guns but never used it to paint yet. I’ll have to try it. Subscribed
Thanks! Ya know, I’m really not selling anything. I just like to make videos! But, maybe as my channel grows I can monetize it with some affiliate marketing. Hopefully!
Nice Video man! That’s an awesome piece of advice. thank you ! What would you recommend me to make a Honda Cbr clutchcover the Same way but with the Honda letters in red ?
If you use the C-system from Cerakote, you can just mask off the letters, paint one color, then 'reverse mask' and paint the second. On UA-cam, do a search on helmet painting and you can see the masking techniques. And, THANK YOU for your nice comment!
From purely a taste perspective, I’d probably have the Honda logo in a color that either matches the CBR color scheme or pics up some accent color, like a stripe color on the bike. If your bike has red on it, go for it!
@@dersoossonator7928 it’s my pleasure. The whole reason I started even making videos was to help other people by sharing the knowledge I’ve gained from a lifetime in the shop.
Hey Dennis! The manufacturer recommends 4 hours for handling and 24 hours for full cure provided the temperature range is above 60 degrees - as I recall!! If im wrong, its not off by much. Cerakote promulgates data sheet with dry times and handling times if you want to be sure. Thank you for watching and taking the time to comment! I have a new video on air cure cerakote if you want to check it out. ua-cam.com/video/ZMwx4KuVREg/v-deo.html

Thats all you need. My equipment is basic also.
Looks great! I'm a painter by trade but yet to use cerokote for anything. Got a dirt bike recently so may have to order some
You will be a pro. It’s easy.
Hi Brian how do you think cerakote will hold up applied to rims/wheels? I ride in sand mainly, thank you 👍
In sand, my guess is that powdercoat would hold up better, honestly.
@@brian.d.mobley thank you

@@Bananahammock88 It sure did. Looks the same today. I’ll be doing a pit bike soon that will have plenty of Cerakoted engine parts.
Brian Mobley I’m ordering it now. Thanks

Hi Brian i am how well this has held up over time?
Hey Make or Break! About the same as the factory paint. Boot rub still wears off the Cerakote. But otherwise, looks good. Thanks for watching.

What grit media do you recommend using in the sand blasting cabinet?
Hi Henry! Cerakote recommends #100 grit garnet or aluminum oxide media. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching!
