THREE BACKSTABS IN A ROW. Everyone thought that Chase being able to chain backstab was gone. They thought they were safe 😂😂😂
Looks like DS3 backstabs are back on the menu boys
@@AriShinato 😂😂😂
lovely finesse
@@AriShinato I'm an elden ring noob so I need some explanations. Were ds3 backstabs easier or more forgiving to land?
@@lokilucario Yes.
Backstep Backstab was fucking sick, those chain backstabs were great too. This really became a backstab test video, great vid Chase
Some anime shit ngl
Dude activated ultra instinct on his ass
11:55 Omg, what a move
That there was a violation
On todays episode of "did Chase mix his physick flask"
God damn it.
Tried this weapon out but I couldn't put down my trusty guardian swordspear
11:52 crazy stuff, well played!
There is unfortunately no reason to use the Pest's Glaive, I think it might be objectively the worst halberd since it has nothing unique in its moveset and one of the lowest damage. Only redeeming quality is its weight iirc.
Edit: it slightly boosts non-physical damage negation apparently
@@SonKunSama it should have something like high quality scaling, otherwise every other halberd outclasses it.
Which is a shame, because it looks so fucking good
@@SonKunSama I recall reading that it has the best overall scaling among all the Halberds, so there's that as well.
@@EnergyBurst2 it’s damage is higher on magic
I would like to see the Carian knight sword being showcased, such a cool looking weapon. Perhaps with a staff on the off hand, because i don't think i have ever seen you play like this. It's either two-hand, dual wield, sword and board or pure wizard
Edit: 11:54 HOLY SHIT, that was an anime protagonist move!
13:10 and then a tripple backstab right after!
pair it with the lazuli glintstone sword. they share a moveset, only major difference being the skill
Aren't those the ones with special heavy attack that has block frames? Would be really interesting
@@PiiskaJesusFreak carian and lazuli glinstone, yep. they're made for spellblades who off-hand a staff
It's not a bad idea, admittedly, adding a staff and spells to the mix. But these are weapon showcases, he is focusing on the best ways to use it and it alone (or dual-wielded when advantageous).
Any weapon can have spells added for mix-ups and variety, but that wouldn't showcase the weapons full solo potential.
Although, it would be cool to see a series of videos that showcase how certain magics can be utilized with various types of melee, he obviously just wants the focus to be on the weapon alone.
He wears the omen set so we don't have to. What a king.
You watch Zanny m8?
I love how you see a weapon way more often after Chase does a showcase. Get ready for pests everywhere, boys.
It's a somewhat difficult farm so probably not. If people don't already have it that is.
@@sleep_enjoyer13 I have like 4 on my first playthru lmao, lets goooooo
Your videos, while wildly entertaining, have also made me a MUCH better PVP player. Thank you for the awesome content! Favorite streamer by far.
It's impressive how Chase has done 46 videos on weapons and he still finds something no one has ever tried before in pvp
Hmmm, I wonder why *looks at rivers, moonveil, and ultras*
this is pretty much the only one ive seen nobody use
And still manages to obliterate anyone with said weapon
I’ve seen this used before, it was in a sunlight blade video
@@rohsouto halberds are meta
I really want to see you use the Dragon Halberd, one of my favorite weapons.
The spinning slash looks so cool on that weapon too. Nobody knows about it tho because it is in that weird hidden area in Nokron.
@@LTl3tt3rs right??
Yes, it got good damage( people usually has low lightning defense), looks rad and frost bite!
Cool thing about the pest glaive, it boosts non-physical damage negation by +2% for all you min-maxers.
Was looking for this in the comments😄
Damage negation. Not damage, so, actually pretty negligible.
Backstabs definitely look like they've been tweaked. It should be very interesting seeing you utilizing that fully in future invasions!
Backstep into Backstab was soooooo smooooth.
If backstabs really are a thing now, and it's not just a fluke or the weapon, then could you try a higher crit weapon like the rapier or the executioners greataxe.
Dog, that was the funniest backstab I've ever seen from you.
"You get a backstab!
You get a backstab!
EVERYONE GETS A BACKSTAB!!"
Honestly probably my favorite weapon in the entire game. I got it in my very first playthrough and it carried me through it with the Miquellan Rings AoW, it is probably one of the weaker halberds in the game but it looks badass and the minor boost to elemental damage resistance always helps (which I don't think you mentioned in the video, when wielding it it boosts elemental damage resistance by like 1 or 2 points.)
Genuinely impressed by the back step backstab.
*THE CRAZED CACA CONNOISSEUR*
THE NOTORIOUS NUMBER TWO NIBBLER
THE DASTARDLY DOO DOO DEVOURER
YOOO THAT CRAZY THAT FIRST FIGHT IS ME!! I DIDNT REALISE!! Im watching the video and im thinking to myself "yo that outfit is exactly like mine and i fought someone with this exact build the other day, thats weird" and then i saw the name hahaha I wish I gave you a better fight but im glad I got beat by you 😂😂
That backstep backstab was crazy🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Bro that back step into backstab was beautiful. That’s all I got.
I lied. Should have waited till the first invasion. Holy shit. Chases butt grabs are back people
If you’re adding variety to your armor do you take suggestions? I would love to see a showcase slaughtering people with the dead eyes of the albinauric mask
The last face they see before death
Oh yes, that’s my favorite helmet/mask.
Pest's Glaive, the one weapon with the best scaling with so many stats based on infusions
11:55 that back step into a backstab WHATTTTTT
11:42 one of the sickest kills I've ever seen. Bravo sir
That moment where you pull off that backstep into backstab "OH MY GOD, INHUMAN REACTIONS!"
that backstab chain was monstrous. you did these two guys dirty as hell XD
11:55 that was the coolest move i ever seen in elden ring
Not only a weapon showcase, but a move showcase "backstab" as well. Loved it!! When are we seeing the Mantis Blade (Bloodborne's Beasthunter Saif cousin) and the Fallingstar Beast Jaw on this amazing series good sir???
the mantis blade is.... interresting (and a lot of people miss it by doing the rafter skip
@@brayachdragonbane7529 I was completely unaware of its existence until I looted it in a randomizer run. As soon as I tried it out that "hmm, this seems very familiar...." thought immediately came to mind. I think Chase showcasing it would make for a very interesting episode.
@@helioa8191 it can be found in the gelmir hero dungeon.... the place where you drop down atop the riderless chariot has an alcove with one of those enemies, kill him and he drops it 100%, than it goes down to a measly .1%
@@brayachdragonbane7529 Thanks for that. I have the Elden Ring Reforged mod to play next and will grab Beasthunter Sai...Mantis Blade on that playthrough for sure!
Idk if it's been mentioned already but double slash is most likely parryable. The RoB AOW is after all, and that's just double Slash with extra effects.
The sword the dual wielder Frank was using in his offhand was the Golden Epitaph. Has Golden Vow and kills skeletons the first time, you don't have to smack their dead bodies before they get up.
11:54 is chef kiss all day.
11:54 that backstab though 😱
"Hey guys so that was all the battles for today. I really hope you enjoyed today's back stab showcase and look forward to any of you future recommendations and suggestions"
Every time I get settled with a certain weapon Chase makes me want to try a new one. I need more larval tears.
Backup saves son, they harden in response to physical clicking.
Thanks for switching up the armor and keeping it fresh. I appreciate it.
Nice vid bro, would love to see the envoy horns make an appearance
Love that we're now getting a fashion showcase along with our weapon showcases!
CHAIN-BACKSTABS? Maybe it's finally time for the Misericorde Showcase ;)
Dear god he's learning how to master the illusive Elden Ring backstab. We're doomed.
That backstep under the jump of the flail dude was NASTY that shit made me scream
5:35 DOPE FIGHT finished him with the spin move yessss
you are so good in pvp my dude holy shit. literally played with them like mice until he got bored of testing backstabs and destroyed them in one swell swoop
Watching the last fight really feels like watching a lion play with its food
If you want to try something different, in volcano cave near volcano Manor you can find the coil shield, it's ash of war makes a snake come out from the shield and bite enemies which causes poison and bleed. I haven't tried it in PvP but in PVE it does surprisingly high damage
The first Ash of War reminds me of Splitleaf Greatsword 🍃
Apparently the special on the menu today is backstabs. He had like 10 on 3 people and the back step under the jump ultra giga backstab. Is this chasethebro or chadthebro?
Holy shit, backstabs usable? That’s absolutely insane imma have to learn how to backstab, and also search up where the hornet ring is. Also, I am once again recommending the ornamental straight sword for a showcase. It’s got a interesting move set and ash of war
Trypophobia glaive monster. Man, is such a pleasure to watch you fight chase. Those backstabs reminded me of good ol' ds3 :'). Thank you for the vid, keep it up!
That first invasion was insane destruction lol
Chase finally remembered to mix his flask before hand, and he put the “get three backstabs in a row” tear in it.
That backstab was the stuff of legend 😱
My favourite glaive!!
Dear lord the chain backstabs. I feel like I'm back to when I watched your vids during your DS3 days!
Really enjoying the weapon showcase, Chase. That backstab chain was awesome!
BTW the jumps in this game give the bottom half of your body s which is why you can jump some attacks
My dude!! Those backstabs!!
My vote next would be for the Zamor Curved Sword! I feel like it'd be a cool challenge with its unique moveset. Also with how Caase slays with literally anything I wanna really see it!
People: chase, use different armor sets!
Chase: Ok, as you wish *equips this abomination*
Me: NOOOOOO
I doubt this'll get seen, but I'd recommend using Loretta's War Sickle, hands down my favorite weapon in Elden Ring, best used in Int focus builds with a decent bit of Dex
Miséricorde showcase next with the buckler and dagger talisman. Backstab and parry showcase.
Will you do spell/incantation reviews as well? Maybe even staff reviews? It would be interesting comparitively from the regular weapons you do.
Watching chase bully kids w backstabs is hilarious lmao
Chase with the dagger talisman and 140 crit dmg will be terrifying 😱🥶
11:54 that shows you how big the skill gap in spacing between Chase and most players in DS3/Elden Ring .
Bro nah this dude is actually skill based
That backstep into a backstab was legendary
I know armor isn't the point of the showcase videos but I agree that it's kinda fun when you switch it up!
daaaaaamn the backstep was so beautiful brings back the ds3 memories
another day another chase upload. life is good
Wow first time I've seen this weapon
You and that flask brother lmao everytime
Backstab chains are back! So happy!
With all these successful backstabs, it's time to bring out the Miseracorde showcase!
My PC would go flying if that back-step backstab landed on me. 🤣
When a man is clad in armor that looks like brownies full of corn, you better be careful
Backstabs are now attainable? Time for a Happy Souls reference!
Wing of Astel! It would be awesome! Great vid again, as always!
I had no idea backstabs were buffed in current patch. Any other cool stuff I missed in 1.05?
the blade of night and flame is a weapons that i havent seen almost no one use
Dragonscale Katana please! I love the weapon and would love to see it used to it's full potential. It's weapon skill is so sick!
it's mostly jumping attacks that is seemingly easier to punish with a backstab
Great video as always! How are you able to change your stats so often and +25 each weapon to do all these showcases? Are you just loading back into a save file?
8:40 Double Slash is parryable, yes. No clue if its all variations of Double Slash or not but I've parried the slow version on a Claymore before.
This is exactly how back stabs were meant to work
I was actually always confused when chase would say that backstab were less viable because it seemed I got them way more often than I would in other souls games
They recently made them easier in patch .05 at release day I was 50 50 that it worked and now I get it 150% of the time.
Would love to see a showcase of the Short Spear some time! I feel like the heavy attack is deceptively strong on that one.
perhaps my favorite weapon. fun fact: having it in an active slot increases non-physical damage negation.
Ripple Blade, it's shorter and I believe A scales off arcane. Could be interesting.
11:54 was insane ngl
We're all screwed once Chase starts practicing parries
Time to cosplay dung eater with sword of milos now
Backstab Chase is back
You get a backstab and you get a backstab, and guess what you get?, also a backstab
Well, Chase. Since backstabs and the Horner Ri... I mean Dagger Talisman are now relevant, it may be time to give Miséricorde a go!
11:54 chase is godly
That Glaive is best suited to be dual wielded as its the lightest of the bunch
With backstabs working now, I wonder how long til Chase does a Misericorde showcase
