honestly i kinda enjoy the scuffed brutality of shoving an entire god damn scythe head through someones chest
It went from breaking realism to comically shoving an entire scythe to clip through their body, to brutally slamming it against their collarbone from behind and severing their head with it. It’s about damn time FromSoft.
I think that the DS3 scythe backstab got memed on so much they decided to give it a unique animation lol

Oh my god, the scythe dual was one of the coolest fights I've ever seen! The back and forth shift of advantage, the almost tragic early end when he was dismissing the hunters, it had a whole arc! Not to mention how cool the host was for sending the hunters away, just so they could continue their dual in honor! And of course, that finale of the Quickstep backstab to finish them off with just a sliver of health left was amazing. Well done, Chase. Well freaking done.

I'm glad Elden Ring created a proper backstab animation for scythes, because back in the Dark Souls days, you'd just stab them like it was a sword, so it looked really awkward.
I kinda liked the thought of it though back in the Souls Series. A guy violently forcing a big blunt object right through someone's back and out of their chest with inhumane strength, then pulling it back through , destroying whatever organs are in the way

@@QwertyBoredom122 ...and far too easily done, meaning duels and invasions were just dice rolls of who could abuse the mechanic more.

I’m glad I started watching him early, even before I started to PvP. Taught me a lot of the souls etiquette and if I didn’t know, I’d probably have looked like a complete asshole at times 😂

@@ohkage unfortunately people have no shame with their setups in this game. Im surprised it hasnt eaten at you yet lol. Over the years of playing these games, if there is one thing I learned, there is no honor. Most people that bow will pull out cheese when losing or pull the plug. Most people that give you a 1v1 with their phantom will attack you when you arent looking. I let the host survive just for him to summon all his phantoms back. I could go on and on
@@jiddy30 I thought the whole point of honor/shame is that it only applies in duals, not invasions. In fact I'd argue it's only it's thematically appropriate that phantoms should try to save their overconfident hosts, or that desperate hosts should try to get all the help they can.
I don't see it as much now, but there was a time when people complained endlessly about gang squads. If anything that's weird. People are fine with optimizing their entire setup to invade, yet when others optimize their entire setup to beat an invasion it's suddenly bad?
@@randomnobody660 although some of my examples are from invasions, what i said still applies to duels. People pull out cheese when losing, pull the plug, apply 5 buffs and get mad when you attack during all their buffs. And when people setup fake fight clubs or are trying to setup a 1v1 with their phantoms and then join in last second when they loose. Again there is no honor. And optimizing your builds to use all spells spam or dragon breath while waiting for invaders in a small room with nowhere to go so they can trap an invader is scummy as hell.

Chase is one of the few dudes who isn't frustrated at a 3v1 situation. He takes great care in dismantling teams one by one. Never gets frustrated on mic. And turns Blues into what Lost calls them "Flask Delivery Systems" all the time.

omg the female scream for Radahn's Sword is absolutely hilarious.
occult poison mist scythe is very strong, you can stack both damage boosting talismans and either the varre mask or mushroom crown with it. You can easily get over 900 ar with all the buffs and the double procs are already pretty strong on there own.
14:50-17:00 was the coolest fucking fight ever. Dude sent a blue home. Dude said, nah this is MY fight! And you won with a backstab while ONE SHOT omgggg that was awesome

these were great fights! you are very good at handling ganksquads. i recently did my 3rd playthrough, an arc/str build that ended up with double omenkiller cleavers, it was a lot of fun. it's very satisfying to see someone piloting this setup so well in pvp; i tried out the grave scythe for a little bit and thought it was neat, love seeing the bloody baemore. the scythe fight was so good!

Me personally you should put Black Flame Tornado on one of your grave scythes.
This was you walk into obvious traps, use a poise booster (talisman or perfume) then do the black flame tornado while in your trap…
The black flame obviously does burst damage and damage over time BUT also you build bleed on each hit so you can possibly get two bleed pops while dealing physical and black flame damage😂

I honestly wanna try out Pure Occult, no bleed or anything but just doing Occult for the solid damage it gives and the 4 really cool ashes of war it provides

idk if anyone has pointed it out, but the summon with the Godfrey cosplay was a pre-grafted Godrick cosplay. He had the axe, was entirely gold, and even had some fire on his offhand. I just really appreciate that.

Terrible, terrible jokes about your cameo visitor aside, these were some amazing matches. I'm really keen on scythes (pun intended) so I like seeing builds with them. (My very first Demons' souls character was a scythe build, albeit a terrible one and the scythes in that game are a bit more mundane.)

Weapons with natural bleed on are ussually better on occult, damage grew insane and so do the bleed you loose like 20 or 30 bleed and win like 200 or 300 dame per hit (still have like 90 bleed but higher damage)
Edit: and you can still put sepuku if you wanna see the world burn.
Wouldn't it be better to use a bleed Flamberge since it already has a bleed property? Give it a bleed scaling, top it with Seppuku and you'd have a monster of a weapon. It even has slightly more range than the claymore, at the draw back of a little damage. The only thing that might be considered a downside is that it's heavy is a horizontal slash, but to me that's just better allows you to trade and is more reliable than the poke.

never put bleed on an innate bleed weapon. the bleed will override the innate bleed. see Chrightt for more in-depth elden ring content

Actually I never play the invader chasing game because they never stop the hit and run style and do the duel fight,so just ignore them,go to boss room to fight
For the Tower of Caelid ladder campers, how does Fire's Deadly Sin deal with them? Can you proc enough damage trying to fight on the ladder?
