You're one lucky man who's living surrounded by all those guitars.. My dad won't get me the electric guitar at all. BTW pls give a review about scheter hell raiser c1..
Tell your dad that once your first future record label advance comes in that moms getting a house and hes getting a pair of socks. Then put a dog turd in one of the previously mentioned socks. Keep chasing your dreams! So many rockstars stories start with your exact situation ;) hope by now 2 years later that you got one! Never give up.
Okay so im 20 and growing up i had to deal with small things that prevented me to do the things i wanted. It really fks with me now that i never did anything about it. Do what you can to get that guitar amd whatever else you need. I would tell your father to go fkhimself lol. Not literally😂, I love my parents too and you should respect them, but remember this, in this life you are alone. You gotta do things for yourself, all decisions you make and commit to in life you have do them. Venture out while you sre still young and you could discover yourself...
Philippine Mahogany can actually be several species, but “the good stuff” is usually one of a few species from the Shorea genus commonly known as Meranti. You may also hear the name Nemesu or Red Seraya.
I've owned two and after a good setup you can get the action pretty low. I play this guitar in drop c/b and it's still my preferred. Even over my 700 Ibanez baritone
I’m a metal head at heart but mines at up to play blues right now because I’ve decided to take a break from the the heavier stuff because I think it will help my soloing and even with light strings and the right set up this thing can sing too not just shred
I reckon it does because everytime i take tags of my new guitars they lose all their tone so i usually end up putting them back on again and sure enough it sounds great again. It's one of those things like tone paint or relic a guitar because a reliced guitar sounds better. 😂🤣👍
Question. Is it worth taking a 10 year old RG421QM and putting a Seymour Duncan Black Winter in the bridge? I want to make some upgrades but I can't afford a new guitar
Yes. I took an RG270 from 20 years ago and dropped a Duncan Distortion in the bridge (it's an HSH and replaced the others too). If the guitar feels good and comfortable to play (especially the neck) and if you find the pickups too weak or voiced differently to what you want, then a pickup upgrade is one of the best things you can do without having to splash out on a new instrument.
Hello, everybody, need your advice. Looking for the guitar for learning under $300 in the US: what is the difference and what might be the better choice - RG421 or Ibanez GIO GRGR221PA? Or maybe somebody might provide with any other recommendations to consider in this price range? Appreciate any help!
As a beginner who’s doing some research myself, the pickups on the RG are better and the neck is thinner and probably easier to play That might be wrong tho so maybe you want to wait for an actual experienced player to answer xD
I bought RG421EX-BKF as my first electric guitar a few weeks ago, no regrets. It's made in indonesia, GIO in china, it is a bit more expensive but worth it, it has better pickups and build quality. RG series will always be better then GIO so go for it. I'm playing it with katana 50 mk2.
What model of Ibanez is the one In the background on the first row towards the right side of the video, looks like a olive green color?? Next to the one that fades from black to grey!
Going from a lower budget gio Ibanez from an RG series your basically just paying for the pickups and that's it, not much difference from cheap guitars to expensive ones other than pickups.
Can anyone explain to me the difference between RG421 and RG421 EX? Is it just the design of guitar/wood used? The EX isn't on Ibanez's site at all, I'm looking at one for Aus $600 online (American $400ish). It's the only RG421 they have on special but wanna make sure the EX won't give any surprises, pics and stats all look the same TY in advance!
If anyone could offer advicem to someone interested in playing, I am looking at the Ibanez RG421 and the Yamaha Pacifica 112J, probably gonna pair it with a Blackstar ID: Core 20 v2. I am wondering which is better for classic rock to modern metal (At least in that range).
i want to start learning guitar from scratch. I tried this guitar at a guitar store and i liked how light it was. I felt inmediately i could play for hours on this guitar. Then went to try a fender and it was heavy AF.
@@miguelcarranzo Yeh, it all depends on what the body of the guitar is made of. Basswood and Mahogany are heavier but tend to have better resonance. It really comes down to what is the most comfortable for you to play and how much you enjoy playing it.
This is useless, this Ibanez is a Beginner guitar. If i could afford this amp i would buy a more Expensive Guitar too. Literally no normal Beginner owns a Speaker with a Laney Head with tubes
I've bought it, would recommand to anyone especially for the ones who want to play metal (I'm playing it with a katana 50)

The amount of times I paused the vid just to see how you got that clean tone
The new RG421s have meranti body instead of mahogany....
I saw that on Ibanez site

In case any RG421 owner sees this, how's the action on this guitar?
I've owned two and after a good setup you can get the action pretty low. I play this guitar in drop c/b and it's still my preferred. Even over my 700 Ibanez baritone
It's Low, nice and g o o d

i'm drooling on the two jems ................ the blue and the light blue ..........
rg421 or the rg350dx? Or any other options from ibanez, my budget is only below $350 :((
Does it play better with that tag hanging from the neck?
I reckon it does because everytime i take tags of my new guitars they lose all their tone so i usually end up putting them back on again and sure enough it sounds great again. It's one of those things like tone paint or relic a guitar because a reliced guitar sounds better. 😂🤣👍

@@pyratoothNL I actually ended up doing this, (the Black Winter pickup) and I am happy I did!
what do u think between this ibanez and the kramer striker series???i think the kramer sounded brtter but im not sure
Is it good for Metallica, Megadeth, Slayer, Anthrax, Exodus?
Yup it is
Absolutely perfect for thrash/metal/anything heavy from drop D all the way downnnn brooooo 😎✌💪
Good for drop a?
It works perfectly even in Drop C, but I don't know what to tell you about lower tunnings…
Thats a ridiculous tuning, buy a bass guitar...
Can you do a video on ibanez rg 370zb?
This guitar or Yamaha 120h pacif.? Which one is better?
2019 anyone
Yep, just bought this, arrived yesturday.
Had one, thinking about upgrading to dimarzio pick ups
Is it still good in 2019 ?
Got one with Seymour Duncan and dimarzio pickups. Sounds brilliant. Perfect guitar for modding.
2020, awsome guitar

What amp is that on the top? Not the Laney
Prs se Standard or this one?
Do this model come with a trem?
The all along the watchtower intro
Do you guys have any wiring diagram for this?
2:21 - face-sea-book page 😂😁
Going from a lower budget gio Ibanez from an RG series your basically just paying for the pickups and that's it, not much difference from cheap guitars to expensive ones other than pickups.
Rg is just better craftsmanship amd better wood body. I have to get rid of a sharp fret edges on mostly gio in the shop

TY in advance!
Dagan the Alex Skolnick years
This or the Jackson JS11?
this
THIS by a longshot of basically any Dinky Jackson model lol
Can you add tremolo bar in this model?
No....not without a router, but most of ibanez guitars $200 and $400 are about the same. They are good guitars. Dont be scared to buy one
RG 320 EXZ is the same model but with the trem

Is it ok to play it in drop D or drop C?
Totally ok
Just get 12 or 13 gauge strings for drop c 👍
Make the review of RG421AHM plz
AxZon Yrahduahc yeah wondering if the maple fretboard is worth it.
Im going to buy this one thats why
Hi, did you buy it friend? And if you bought it, do you recommend it?
Skunk with a guitar
Can we put a whammy bar?
No, it's got a hardail bridge
If you want a whammy then get the RG370, it's the same but with whammy and an xtra coil.
No but they make this same guitar with a Floyd Rose
My sounds cheap and muddy, ;/ IT DOESNT CHUG
What's your amplifier? Has your guitar been set up recently? New strings?
Have you tried adding a tube screamer?
what is that riff hes playing at the start what the fuck is it
Jimi Hendrix - "Along the Watchtower"
I had better tone when I was 14 with a Line 6
It isn't that bad tho
Not trying to be nasty... BUT, does this guy presenting not look like a slightly worse version of the comedy actor Matt Berry?
This is useless, this Ibanez is a Beginner guitar. If i could afford this amp i would buy a more Expensive Guitar too. Literally no normal Beginner owns a Speaker with a Laney Head with tubes
The guitar is great, I'm sure. Hate the player.
what is wrong with player?
A great guitar that you managed to make sound horrible.
?????
You're drunk go home. Sir, this is a Wendy's.
5 way selector is a big let down for me. bye bye ibanez, hi Shecter.
but why do you hate 5 way switches , they just make the guitar more versatile.....
Harsh Kumar - because i prefer simplicity over versatility.
yeah some people prefer LP style guitars, everyone has their own taste
Well there's the Iron Label series for simplicity, some really fantastic models there with modest price tags.
it is very easy to change it to 3 way switch. I did it on some guitars, but I regret and will change it back for more tonal options.
