Definitely Scott's cause I love the reason why he named the guitar that way and I love that it kinda matches TIm's somwhat in that it seems to the be the Yin to Tim's Yang of a guitar, for a lack of a better word. That said, Tim's original AZ on the very end comes really close, but I'm just not that much of a fan of the color way, unfortunately, but yeah, it's sound, being that of from the master luthiers in Japan's Ibanez workshops, is no joke at all.
I've always wanted an Ibanez, I'm a new guitarist at the age of 53 so an entry level mint colored guitar would be cool. I'm hoping to win the 🎸!! Keep those comments coming y'all.
The ibanez roadstar in back to the future was so nice honestly, I've recently seen the movie and noticed the guitar he played in one of the scenes was a ibanez roadstar in black, I looked it up on reverb because the movie made me want one lol
I love Ibanez AZ, I always wanted to play a Ibanez AZ, I have played other entry level Ibanez, but I never played an Ibanez AZ, playing an Ibanez AZ is my dream. I am hoping to get one and fulfill my dream
I never really understood the love for Ibanez until i tried one for myself. Played a 7 string in the store and I immediately bought it. The wizard neck is just amazing.
I’m very interested in Ibanez guitars right now, it is a guitar that never caught my attention before, but now I’m learning about these guitars and what they offer.
Teenager here 👋🏼 I’ve come into the guitar seen through my dad I own a fender sq strat mini! I love it but I’ve always goggled at Ibanez idk why maybe it’s the aggressive shape or how much i love the look of my dads Jackson guitar but I don’t have the money for a full sized guitar and would love to finally get an Ibanez! Also I love it when people share how they got interested an things that shaped their lives like your R2 at the end there!
😭letsss gooo ibanez is just legendary... And the az series is just insane looks, pickup configurations, the sound of these beauties is just so fascinating... Maybe one day i could have one on my hands
I absolutely love AZ series, specially how they are coming out now, had the oportunity to play some of them and fell in absolute love with them. Great video, didn't know i needed this
I was looking for a Strat-ish guitar when the AZE line was launched and, for a couple hundred bucks? SOLD!! I went out and bought one IMMEDIATELY. It's my living room/hallway guitar that hangs out where, if it got knocked over or something?...meh. No big deal. Great guitars, amazing value. I ❤️Ibanez!!
I've been an inconsistant guitar player buying and selling every guitar I had over the years and I always wanted a guitar that will stick to me the way those two favorites of yours do but until now I haven't had anything that make me feel that way. I just bought an Ibanez Q54 because I wanted to try a headless guitar for the first time and I don't like the idea of playing trying the famous endura neck on strandbergs but also don't want to invest too much money on a Kiesel, Ormsby or any of those boutique guitars so, I hope this one becomes my first beloved to stay at home forever haha. I've wstched a lot of videos on those quest series and this video came in the suggestions, nice content bro, thanks for the info!
I actually love the AZ es ...hss. my son plays ibanez professionally...I switched to guitar from drums 5 years ago after not playing music for years. Its been amazing. Sadly i went for strats and now i really want to grab one ibanez. Would be amazing. Hey man excellent review here. 👌
This video is so so GOOD! I've learned so much about the Ibanez AZ series in such a short amount of time. TBH, I only ever had just one electric guitar, a Ibanez GRG550 made in China way back in 2006. A budget guitar for sure, but fast forward to this year, 2024, the Floyd Rose tremolo that came with it, is no longer done nowadays. So yeah, I wholeheartedly agree when you say that even for their entry level guitar, it's not bad at all. P.S. And yeah, I'm more of a fan of Tim's TOD10 cause of it's TOD inlay, which is based off of Steve's,, but be that as it may, Scott's AZ, is definitely music GOLD, in itself. 😌
I have a AZES40, just like the one in the video. I've changed the pickups for an Andy Timmons set up, changed the nut and put locking tunners on it. Honestly, it's a pro guitar now and my favorite to play with. The only thing that is different from an AZ is the roasted maple neck. Spent about another 400 bucks and it still half price compared to a Prestige model. WORHT IT!
That Roadstar is beautiful! I actually found out about them last year when I saw Des Rocs play his vintage blonde one with a floyd rose and humbuckers. Would be cool to see them come back!
fun video! I was so excited when the AZ line was first teased years ago. It was mainly the CHON boys who got me hooked on the aesthetics and potential versatility at the time, and just like you, I also saved for a long time to be able to afford one haha Just wish they released in the deep blue finish Ericks prototype had, but I love this guitar so much.
Trying to not go into debt buying both Black and Blue AZ at my local shop. That was the first time I went I told someone to take down both of the same guitar to test them lol
I’ve always been a Stratocaster fan (Fender & Squier) but something about Ibanez has always enticed me. Maybe it’s the versatility or just the style they always have. I might pick up that first Ibanez ES, win or lose the giveaway. If they have a black one, I’d love to customize it with a gold pick guard!😮💨
Yo Man! I really enjoyed watching your video!! I've honestly been watching a bunch of these, like I'll no joke be watching these every hour or so- I mean, it's probably gotta do with the fact I don't have an Electric Guitar 😭 I've been playing accoustic guitars for a good 3 years or so, and I've written a few songs! And I've started a Band!! But I'm still in High School man 🙄 I haven't been able too buy myself a Guitar
You had me at "mystery case" lol. I would love to try the AZES40, I remember budget Ibanez guitars were always good years ago I can only imagine they've gotten better. I have an RG350 and it's one of my go-to guitars for everything.
Let me know your favorite BELOW!! Check the description box!

This video just made me fall in love with the Ibanez AZ all over again. That neck is perfection! 🎶🤘🏼
I've always wanted an Ibanez, I'm a new guitarist at the age of 53 so an entry level mint colored guitar would be cool. I'm hoping to win the 🎸!! Keep those comments coming y'all.
Hope you win

It would be a wonderful thing but this video will never get to 1000 likes🥺
Hope you end up with one! I have a prestige rg655cbm and a gio bass and they’re both absolute gems even on the polar opposite quality spectrums
ibanez's AZ shape is one of the few shapes that dont immediately hurt my back i love it
You showed how the guitars sound clean, it makes all the difference for me.
I have RG's, an ART, 2 Xiphoses, a Destroyer, an AX, 2 SR500's, an AXB bass, and a Mikro. I love all things Ibanez.
Nice collection 👌

I just received an Ibanez GRG140 from my grandparents, and I absolutely love it.
Ibanez just play so well, dont have an AZ but a Jiva but still, don't regret it a second
I am usually an RG player, but the AZ has gotten my attention over the last year! 🎶🤘🏼
I’m very interested in Ibanez guitars right now, it is a guitar that never caught my attention before, but now I’m learning about these guitars and what they offer.
Absolutely love the two Ibanez I have. Killer tone, and playability is pretty top tier imo.
Bro I've been this confused in my whole life wandering what kind of Ibanez guitar im getting. This kind of content, its a need
I’m hankering for a HSS strat but then I discovered the AZES… now I’m deep in the Ibanez AZ video algorithm and very impressed 🤔
This is the demo I have been waiting for! You show exactly why the Ibanez AZ is a must-have for any serious guitarist! 🎶🤘🏼
The tones you’re pulling out of the Ibanez AZ are unbelievable! I need to get my hands on one ASAP! 🎶🤘🏼
The craftsmanship on the Ibanez AZ looks top-tier, and your demo shows just how dynamic it is! 🎶🤘🏼
Dream guitar is the Ibanez AZ 2204N-AWD, I look at pictures online almost every single day
Jimmy, you nailed it! The versatility of the Ibanez AZ is insane-this guitar can handle anything from smooth jazz to shred! 🎶🤘🏼
Jimmy, you’re a beast on that Ibanez AZ! It’s the ultimate guitar for players who want it all! 🎶🤘🏼
Teenager here 👋🏼 I’ve come into the guitar seen through my dad I own a fender sq strat mini!

As someone who wants to learn to play, your videos have been super helpful, so thank you.
Excellent video, love the coverage of the AZ line!
Those pickups sound absolutely killer! Ibanez really knocked it out of the park with the AZ series! 🎶🤘🏼
Just got done watching the whole thing. Such playable guitars. My local musicgoaround has a premium 42p I am going to get today. Thanks
I already have AZs but I still keep watching videos about em 🤣
😭letsss gooo ibanez is just legendary... And the az series is just insane looks, pickup configurations, the sound of these beauties is just so fascinating... Maybe one day i could have one on my hands
Wow, that tone is pure fire! The Ibanez AZ is seriously one of the best all-around guitars out there! 🎶🤘🏼
Your playing combined with the AZ’s insane versatility? Mind officially blown! 🤯 🎶🤘🏼
I absolutely love AZ series, specially how they are coming out now, had the oportunity to play some of them and fell in absolute love with them. Great video, didn't know i needed this
I have yet to play an Ibanez, but the level 2's AZ's looks and sound speaks to me.
I have the rg350dxz it is a absolute workhorse for me always stays in tune the neck is absolutely crazy. Good luck to the winner!
I've always been a huge fan of Ibanez's necks. They're just so nice to play on.
Every time you demo a guitar, it makes me want to buy one! The AZ is next on my list! 🎶🤘🏼
I love Ibanez guitars
AZ is my new favorite for a long time now
I was looking for a Strat-ish guitar when the AZE line was launched and, for a couple hundred bucks? SOLD!! I went out and bought one IMMEDIATELY. It's my living room/hallway guitar that hangs out where, if it got knocked over or something?...meh. No big deal. Great guitars, amazing value. I ❤️Ibanez!!
The Ibanez AZ are the best guitar ever made. So versatile! greetings from mexico bro.
Definitely I want that starter Ibanez guitar!!
I just found your channel watching reviews on the prestige AZ. It was when you first got it 5 years ago. You pretty much sold me on it.
The AZ is always an amazing guitar no matter the model and that krys10 looks amazing
Great video, love the explanation and the mods you did!
wow! Good Luck to whoever's gonna win!
I would love to have an Ibanez AZ! I've been super into electric guitars lately and having an AZ as my first would be amazing! ❤
Awesome review!! Covered it all!! So informative thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!

I have an AZES40, and my god I love it, the best guitar for the money.
Isn’t it??? How long have you been playing???
As a beginner i would love to start my journey with a ibanez of yours. Love the video
I’ve owned several Ibanez guitars. Overall they’re great value for the money.
I actually love the AZ es ...hss. my son plays ibanez professionally...I switched to guitar from drums 5 years ago after not playing music for years. Its been amazing. Sadly i went for strats and now i really want to grab one ibanez. Would be amazing. Hey man excellent review here. 👌
I'm glad I discovered your videos, I didn't know you made long form videos until your Every Level of Les Paul came onto my recommended.
Yoo Ibanez supremacy🔥
I love the AZES40, it change the aggressive signature of Ibanez. It's so cool and soft at the same time
The black premium is absolutely beautiful
That first one went from Mayer to Slash! Man, I'd love that versatility!
I played one today. Amazed at what you get for the money.
I have a modified Ibanez EH10 AZ. I ended up putting HSS Hyperions on it and I absolutely love that thing!

Love your enthusiasm and energy!
platonic love for these guitar models
Ibanez AZ is my dream guitar man❤

I have a s470 and strat. The AZ feels like the hybrid of those but kinda better in most ways. Sick playthrough.
I have tried one AND I LOVED IT, i would really be happy to get one!!
Tried AZES40 in a guitar center once. Fallen in love with it. I still want one
I just bought an Ibanez Gio 7 string. I fricken love it. Its different, but it’s so fun
Great video! I’m currently still playing on my Ibanez EX-270.
That Roadstar is beautiful! I actually found out about them last year when I saw Des Rocs play his vintage blonde one with a floyd rose and humbuckers. Would be cool to see them come back!
Always been a fan of ibanez since the jems and korn with the 7 string models but I really like these AZ models as well.
the AZ series is soooo underrated
Jimmy thanks a lot for such great reviews. I totally agree with you, the "Scott LePage" absolutely amazing guitar. Love Ibanez AZ guitars.
I've had my Premium since Covid and it's been my main since I first got it!
I'll never replace it with anything in my life :)
for the price it's really good
the extra tones you get could lead you to new ideas
I always wanted an Ibanez. This is my dream guitar 😢
fun video! I was so excited when the AZ line was first teased years ago. It was mainly the CHON boys who got me hooked on the aesthetics and potential versatility at the time, and just like you, I also saved for a long time to be able to afford one haha
Just wish they released in the deep blue finish Ericks prototype had, but I love this guitar so much.
Was just considering this brand and was wondering if there is a such video :) Great one!
That Tuxedo AZ Premium is gorgeous!
*yes. send this guitar to me please!* 🔥🎸💯👍🏻
I'm a huge AZ fan, best guitar neck ever & super versatile guitar!
Me too! I think this guitar has cemented itself as cult following guitar and will be in the history books. Which do you have??
@@jimmyfranklin AZ242F Premium in Tequila Sunrise colours. Fantastic instrument, always in tune.
New guitarist here, I would love that guitar man! Great review.
I'm partial to my RR24Q Winterstorm. Your vid on the 24Q was pretty fkn good, i watched it probably 50 times in the past year or so!
Trying to not go into debt buying both Black and Blue AZ at my local shop. That was the first time I went I told someone to take down both of the same guitar to test them lol
Just got the AZ2402. Freakin awesome
Prestige AZs are some of the best guitars I’ve ever played
I have an RG but the AZ always caught my eye
I love ibanez guitars
I’ve always been a Stratocaster fan (Fender & Squier) but something about Ibanez has always enticed me. Maybe it’s the versatility or just the style they always have. AZ is my ultimate guitar and I'll own one one day
Thanks this is helpful ive been trying out different configs when in stock at local store.
Nothing wrong with Basswood when used for a guitar body. Yes it’s softer. It rings out and sounds great, and is very lightweight.
I’ve always wanted a Ibanez , played a few at guitar center, there awesome
Yo Man! I really enjoyed watching your video!! I've honestly been watching a bunch of these, like I'll no joke be watching these every hour or so- I mean, it's probably gotta do with the fact I don't have an Electric Guitar 😭
I've been playing accoustic guitars for a good 3 years or so, and I've written a few songs! And I've started a Band!!
