    Ibanez sounds better! Best affordable guitars on the planet

    • @RichWordsMusic

      In some cases I lean towards the Ibanez for sure... and I'm amazed at how good it is for the lower gain stuff too! That really surprised me the most. They're definitely right up there in the "best affordable guitars on the planet" stakes!

    I like both guitars and both have their own character. I still have no "Les Paul" guitar type at home, but I will try out some different guitars. Epiphone is on my list...

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  6 місяців тому

      Yes, I agree with you totally there... they're definitely their own characters! If you're looking to fill an LP-sized hole in the collection, Epi is a great place to start for sure. What an exciting journey to be on! Let me know what you end up going for ;) There's actually so much choice here, depending on budget and taste.

    Thank you for this Review demo . I really enjoy your videos.
    Your playing style really shows how these instruments sound. I am still very happy I saw your video review on
    that Harley-Benton TE-62cc LPB. I like this Tele so much I now bought 2 of them ! Sounds even better with some new Gotoh "in-tune" brass saddles on them :)
    I might buy this Epiphone, but that color is not to my liking.
    Thank you !

      Thanks a lot, glad you're enjoying my vids so far :) I definitely try and play enough music each time so people can really hear the unique personality of each guitar I use. The Te-62CC is still one of my favorites! In fact, I also thought I'd mod mine, but in the end I have never felt the need because it's great as it is ;) Maybe one day I'll get another just to mod, and can then show off the difference. I do have a feeling the Gotoh brass saddles would give it even more twang :)
      I love blue guitars, as you probably know, but I know this Epi is not for everybody ;) Because I love the 2014 LP Traditional Pro so much, I'm still always on the lookout for another, maybe in a classic burst color next time :) I can only recommend this model if you ever see one for sale, though - it's such a great Les Paul. Cheers and rock on!

    With driving rock riffs Les Paul sounds awesome man! Ibanez does everything "good" but Les Paul takes the cake on the rocking out IMHO. Thanks for the lovely video, subscribed!

      Yeah, the Les Paul has a fatness to the tone the RG sometimes can't quite match, for sure. It's such a solid guitar. Cheers for watching and thanks for the sub, it's much appreciated :)

    I love the looks of the LP. I had a Epiphone Custom Alpine White at home but it was to "anti-shredd" for me and had big problems playing fast solos in the 19+ frets... thats why I've returned the Epiphone and now looking for something else.

    I’ll always take an ibby over a eppi. But thats just me.

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  6 місяців тому +1

      That is just you... but many out there would agree for sure! As I get older I find my eyes opening more and more to the Ibbys of this world!

  • @RetzyWilliams
    @RetzyWilliams 5 місяців тому +1

    Wow, you got them sounding mostly identical. In a mix you won’t know any difference. It really would then be a choice of look and feel!

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  5 місяців тому

      Yes, exactly - it's kind of amazing how similar they can sound! And that was without any tweaking, same settings on the amp/pedals, etc. I guess we play with our eyes a lot as guitarists, but you're right... no one would be noticing any difference in a mix. And so then it really does come down to how the guitar looks (I find nice looking guitars way more inspiring than guitars I don't like the look of!) and feels in your hands...

    A difficult choice between the shape of the superstrat and the LP, sonically both are undoubtedly very good (processing and color +++). I have both types of guitars in several variants, so I recommend both in turn. Given the choice, I would choose the Ibanez today from the point of view of playability (subjective point of view). Thank you for the video and greetings Pavel CZ.👍👍👍

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  6 місяців тому +1

      Yes, they're both great guitars and have their own strengths. It means - like you say - that at the end of the day you can make your own choices based on which you prefer personally. For some kinds of player (especially those who play lead often, and play faster than I do!), the Ibanez definitely has its advantages! Rock on Pavel :)

    Clean sounds on both bridge and neck Humbuckers, the Ibanez is definitely more pokey and trebly.
    The Les Paul sounds fatter with more midrange.

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  2 місяці тому

      I agree - the Les Paul just has a 'bigger' sound for most things. Both great for different sounds and styles 🤘

    Do you use same string gauges, is ibanez same scale length as epi, dont think so, they both sound great but dofferent but I guess ibanez has thinner neck and easier to play?

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  6 місяців тому +1

      Yep, 10 gauge on both in this video! And no, Ibanez is 25.5", Epi is 24.75" (I mention that when I talk about the specs at the start of the video). The Ibanez has the Wizard III neck, and it is indeed considerably thinner than the neck on the Epi... but somehow I love the chunkiness of the Epi too! It's all about what's easier though, and I think for the majority of people you're spot on - the Ibanez will be much easier to play. It's a no-brainer because it sounds so good and is so flexible too! Cheers for watching :)

    Hallo, ich wollte dir sagen wie toll ich deinen Chanel finde.
    Du brauchst dich da nicht vor Bonedo und co verstecken :)
    Vielleicht gibt es irgendwann mal die Möglichkeit was von Stone Deaf zu sehen, die finde ich persönlich sehr interessant.
    Liebe Güße und mach weiter so

    Ibanez sounds crisper and nicer to my ears. Prefer the look of the Epiphone though, great playing!

      @RichWordsMusic  6 місяців тому +1

      Thanks a lot! Yep, the Ibanez has a lovely crispness to it I wasn't expecting... but I am still a classic-leaning man when it comes to looks with guitars too :) Cheers and rock on!

    Qual guitarra compra sendo iniciante a ibanez 421s ou a cort g300 pro?

    • @RichWordsMusic
      @RichWordsMusic  3 місяці тому

      If you can afford the Cort, that will hopefully feel better quality-wise (I haven't played one, so I cannot say with 100% certainty). It also has a whammy/vibrato bridge. That said, for pure value for money I don't think you can beat the 421S! It's a wonderful guitar. Try both if you can, before you buy!
