Sir I had fractured my tibia and doctors have implanted a plate through surgery and after 4 weeks they removed my cast and given an ankle immobilizer Age 19 so sir I want to confirm that is it ok to remove the cast after 4 weeks
Hey I’m 6 weeks in non weight bearing fracture ankle fibula , self healed after ER with splint for 7 days using a knee scooter, then I ordered the Air Orthopedic Boot, it was to painful to wear, so I took the air insert out, wrapped my foot/leg and keep the pressure on it as a splint like device. Now I just put on an Ace Stabilizer ankle lace brace and put on a pair of my old wide easy spirit leather lace up boots to try and get the courage to walk again. Yet I cant get my mind to tell my brain to make the required walking motion with that let. I assume Im afraid to make a step, can you give me any suggestions to take my first step without fear, Im trying but something wont tell my leg/ foot to take a step.
After ankle surgery I was non-weight bearing for ten weeks (due to some unforseen circumstances) When I went to him, he took me out of the boot, and said in essence "pick up your bed and walk." The pain when I try walking is severe, but when I went back four weeks later I got a lecture on no longer using my crutches. Is there a "cut off" period for using crutches? I am 63 and have osteoperosis as well, and I cannot walk well enough to go shopping.
Bearing weight will actually reduce pain over time because tour pushing the bones back in place trust me it hurts a lot at first but after a couple of days it feels so much better I almost lost all my regular pain and only had pain related to walking too much
The hours out of the boot are weight bearing...?
What athlete shoe do you recommend. Should I use compression sock and a brace for stability.?

At 5 weeks I just took it off. The pain the boot caused me wasn't worth it, gonna do it my own way
How'd it go? Are you athletic? I want to get back to running
@@davidlibera3488 I carefully rehabbed my ankle myself and never used the boot , now I'm back to running again
@@ztalman nice bro , what did you break? Before not wearing the boot?
