Be sure your car battery is fully charged. Lipo rc cars have a “low voltage cut off”. It stops the truck from driving when the battery is low. You can still steer and have lights but too low of voltage to drive the motor without damaging the battery. You never want a lipo battery to go completely dead. It will damage it and cause it to be a safety risk
Just had this happen today again. This is the second time happening on my son’s Gladiator. We will playing RC and then out of nowhere he has no throttle but the servo works perfectly.
I'm a scx Gladiator (unmodified) owner that has a HRZ00015 rx/esc that has lost forward direction. Only reverse works, lights, steering do work. Unfortunately a aftermarket esc can not be added. And more Unfortunately horizon/Axial is radio silent on the issue. A new HRZ00015 is currently on backorder.
@faeselsaeed9634 I did receive a replacement under warranty at no charge. Horizon took care of me at minimal inconvenience. It took a few weeks, but we don't play with it that much. There are radio/reciever /sc options available, but I'm not looking to put that kind of money in it.
My first day i plugged in the battery in backwards and had a nice bang and smoke and my wheels kept constantly turning so i just bought a whole new board.
Hello I have a scx24 dead bolt and I am having the same problem as you guys with when I turn it on and plug everything in the car can still steer just fine but when I try to go forward and back it doesn’t want. I did happen to see that if I move the motor with the throttle pined it moves for a little bit then stops. I took a look at all the chips and they all seem normal.
Couple possible things, your battery might not actually be fully charging. Be sure to try multiple batteries or check you battery on a hobby grade charger. Could also be the motor going out. If you have another truck, try just plugging it’s motor into the esc and see if it acts the same.
@@TheShopMiniRC I tried with a different motor and different battery and made sure that both batteries were fully charged but still doing the same thing I tried just plugging in the motor still no. This has kinda been a recurring problem I go buy a new esc and it works for a little while then the esc will just die there’s a faint smell of the smoke but nothing that just would be normally running. Also another question is it bad to have it charging while the battery is still plugged into the ecu
Hey kind off topic question, i bought a brushless furitek motor, I am looking for an ESC and RX unit to run it. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated?
As mentioned in the video, you can use a v1 stock axial rx/tx with any standard esc If you are looking to run brushless, you will need a brushless esc. I’d recommend the lizard pro as a budget option and the Python Pro as a top of the line option As for aftermarket RX/TX… that is just a topic that is huge. A good budget option is the flysky GT5 though. A good higher end option is the Flysky Noble NB4. (There is a pro as well but it’s a lot more expensive)
Alright so here’s the problem, I was messing around with the esc and the wires and then the negative and positive touched and the esc just stopped working I already ordered a new one but I was wondering is there is a possible way to fix it. Esc is the stock axial v2 btw
I just bought a brand new replacement axial AE-6 receiver/ESC today. It’s doing the exact same thing as the fried one I just took out. No throttle. Brand new stock motor works when applied to a battery. Trash.
I’ve just had a similar problem by the car works for about 20 seconds and then when I steer the car cuts out and then the throttle does the same tried to rebind the radio (v1 electronics)
@@suzannegreaves2395 low voltage cut off turns off power to the motor when the battery voltage is too low. Be sure your truck battery is full charged (8.4 volts). If it’s doing it with a good, fully charged battery, then it’s something else, not LVC.

does the motor stop when you turn on your v2 remote? it's very odd that anything would move while the v2 esc is turned off. Do you have an external ESC?
@@TheShopMiniRC No, only the v2 electronics, but I just stood up and what do I see? My battery was twice it‘s size big (at the charger), the battery was probably damaged before that. A few weeks ago, I accidentally had the battery in the car while the ESC was still on, maybe that „killed“ it.
Nothing happened as far as wrong goes. The esc rx light won't shut off it's dull red in the off position. And bright when switched on. Servo works no throttle. So weird it was 10 min old hahaha. Gladiator also
However, you can not use the fried esc from the bronco with a brushless setup as I suggest in this video.
