I watched this video for the hell of it, having never done an SMD transplant before. It inspired me to try replacing a missing 0402 resistor that was keeping my Tinyhawk 2 from working properly. I actually did it with a soldering iron and it worked! Pulled a resistor off a bad FC with the same resistance and bingo. I went ahead and ordered a Txinlei heat station you recommended cause using an iron for that was beeyotch! Lol. Thank you so much for your wisdom man!

Question! I have a problem with a stuttering motor. No shorts, fets all pass but when i check the voltage 1 of the pads on the problem output show 9v. Where do i start troubleshooting this?

The MOSFET chips have internal connections between the pins. You got to know which pins to test. Many of them would be shorts by design.
So we must google to know which mosfet is, to know about its design? I'm confuse, dont know which pin to test, and how to know it correct or wrong to determine bad mosfet
I have a box full of these ESCs, ten to be exact either with blown MOSFETs, blown capacitors, blown traces, or in the case of two of them completely burned up. I'm glad I switched to BLHeli and BF
Not being rude, but the Flyduino and FETTEC stuff cannot hold up or they fail for no reason. For me, it was under racing conditions that caused them to mainly fail on me.
Even after modifying them to be soft mounted by drilling the ESCs out, it helped in terms of not being hard mounted. But in terms of handling big power, these Flyduino and FETTEC ESCs are worthless.
So you say fettec esc is also not reliable on 6s? I know kiss esc likes to burn, but fettec is supposed to be more reliable
Ikarus been running my two fettecs on 6s with zero problems. This ESC is only rated for 5s, people run 6s and complain when it blows up lol. Fettec gear is great don’t let him fool you
BammerFlight flies like shit. KISS flys way better out of the box.

I am seeing an abnormal esc behavior with my esc. Currently I can fly with my quad on 4s 650mah 80c battery. But whenever I am trying to connect a normal 3s 2200mah 30c battery the battery terminals are shorting. How I found out is I have a smoke stopper and the bulb is shorting on connecting that 3s battery. I believe it is happening because of large current flow when trying to connect that battery.
Can you please help me sort this riddle.

Excellent Video!! congrats you successfully repaired that 4in1 ESC.
I just purchased a speedy Bee F4 V2 stack and the ESC motor No.4 is not working. I have installed 2 proven motors in the ESC No. 4 and none of them are spinning. I have done several tests like voltage o signal and nothing is going out of the ESC No.4. I went to the motor menu and try to make it spin but nothing is working for it, for all others 3 are spinning correctly when I start them to check the spin direction. I'm out of options here is there anything else I can do? Please let me know I will be more than happy to receive your feedback.
PS: I replicated your continuity test and everything looks good.

I just put my first quad together and I don't get any beeps when I connect a battery. I was able to bind a radio and connect with beta flight but the motors won't spin.
Wait what is that stuff your putting on at 12:48 flux?
I've been having an issue with my legacy KISS setup, I've done lots of troubleshooting, and also lot's of part swaps.
New motor, new flight controller, new ESC, swapping the wires between the FC and ESC, monitoring Rx link quality, etc. Sometimes I think both of my 4in1 ESCs have the same issue, but then I think it's the flight controller, because both of them exhibit the issue too. The problem seems to be with ESC #4 on the KISS 25A 4in1.
No dead shorts exist through the mosfets. in fact the ESC functions fine unless it's accelerating quickly. It can hover, and I can do maneuvers on any axis, but if I jam the sticks, the quad spins out and falls out of the sky, and won't re-arm.
Does anyone have experience diagnosing the kiss 25A 4 in 1 or KISS in general?
Hi mate, i tested my fets and have no problems, but the mamba esc blheli s 100 flights BTF TROUBLE CODE IS RPM FILTER, WELL THAT COULD MEAN LOADSA THINGS, THE ESC DOESNT MAKE ANY MOTOR NOISE ON PLUGGING IN, IT IS DRAWING 50AMPS ON BTFLIGHT, NOT GOOD!
IT DEFINATELY THE ESC, HEATS UP TO VERY HOT STRAIGHT AWAY, NO VISUAL DAMAGE ,WHAT ELSE CAN BE DAMAGED PLEASE

Got a HGLRC F4 Zeus F4 FC AIO 15A BLheli_S 4 In 1 ESC with a small chip next to the arrow with a bubble on it. Ironically the AIO works but it trips the smoke stopper. I can't make out what chip it is as the writing is smudged.

let's say, if i give all 4 esc same signal level in BF motor tab-esc 3 has lower rpm as the other 3.
i tried to switch the motor, but this didn't solve the problem.
any advice what's the problem? MOSFET or fet controller?
SICK man!!!!!!!!! i felt happy and excited for you in the end too! hahaha i just plunged my quad into the drain recently. and i think i fried the ESC.. power up with Lipo, FC is on, VTX and Radio is working. but no Escs beeping sounds... Mosfets look exactly good like this, but i'll have to get a multimeter to test for continuity.. Sad thing is i dont have extra mosfet lying around, its my first build on the Mamba F722 stack with the F50pro... i think i will have to buy a new ESC =(
It's a 25 amp ESC
That thing would blow up on a heavy 3 inch let alone 5 inch. Remember 25 amp capacity means 100 amps altogether. Most 5 inch motors can draw more than 100 amps just normally.
And then if you crash the spikes can FAR exceed 100 amps. In fact every time you spike the throttle quickly you get Amp spikes of much higher than a normal flying amp draw, and every time that happens you degrade the ESC a little more.
My battery can only output around 150 amps max.... my esc's are 65 amp which means altogether it can handle 260 amps........ The only way I could pop an ESC is if I took 3 motors off, held the one motor still attached as to not allow it to spin, and then sent the throttle to 100% and waited... (however, due to crashes eventually the spikes on individual motors will wear the ESC's down over time and will eventually burn out due to bad luck and the right circumstances, but it is as safe as can be for the time being).
My motors would melt before my ESC popped. So many people don't pay attention to this and wonder why their ESC blew up.... Well it's becuase you're using a battery that outputs 200 amps...... motors that draw 50 amps each, and an ESC capable of handling 20 amps each........ Use your fuckin head to realize why your ESC's are popping.
