Did they fix the idiocy of buildings on the waterfront being 2 or 3 stories above water level?
when you say only 30min., do you mean a single video 30min. long?
or are you allowed multiple videos?
im a little confused 🤔🤔🤔
U gave the pop star's home bad fengshui by putting it at the end of the road. Now they're gonna die young
@@thesunnynationg one video for a week or a month for now probably. Just to create hype and discussion for the game.
You've earned a sub!🎉❤
Time to enjoy some tea and watch some lane math, Cities II edition.
How does this comment from litreal cities skylines have no likes or replies. Absurd.
Oh hey, you are the real guys!
You know the score! 👍😁👍
I want this game 🙏🥺
Eek here me thinking the Boss was here to tell you off for that extra 1 second! 😂
Loving the European style medium density, so much more realistic
True, however the European buildings (especially low density houses) look a bit disappointing to me + a lot of buildings such as schools, medical clinics etc seem American
Yeah but I wish the high density European buildings would look more like 18th-19th century architecture so like Paris or London instead of Scandinavian
@@ardayildiz-si3ho definitely, the German-looking buildings from CS1 were a lot better. Well, there are so many wonderful content creators that I'm sure we'll see a lot of amazing assets added ;)
@@ardayildiz-si3ho Likely "Historic European" could be a small DLC down the road. Not sure about "Historic American" since the current American buildings in-game on the larger side are already historic technically lol.
@@mateuszkunda9400 yeah even tho they were also not perfect because of the colors neo classical buildings or Baroque buildings like Vienna would be so gorgeous
I love how they implemented the dlcs from CS and mods into this game. Painting industry is so nice now as you have more of a normal look area with farmlands. Can’t wait to get this game.
They kind of have to, if they go the sims way and rerelease cities skylines 1 only to then basically copypaste functionality from the previous game's DLC's to be rereleased, i'm pretty sure a large percentage of potential players would just nope out and not care about the sequel, sticking to the first game.
Looks strange that they're using massive 5 story tall cranes to build 1-2 story buildings.
Dunno, that is not very uncommon here in Europe.
It seems to be unfinished to me, they pop in instead of being constructed/ raising up
@@TheExi123 I'd love to hear what does "here" mean. The only time I saw 5 story tall cranes was when they were building 4 story tall apartments. Definitely not for normal houses. And a new residential area poped up literally across the streat from where I live so I saw it from my window.
like the old simcity i guess is a reference
yes it is@@TheExi123
It's cool that you can switch between themes during gameplay. When we have more themes, we can have sections of our city like the "little China" that many cities have. That's really cool.
I like the new starting intersection, much better than the awkward bit of highway you get when starting the first game in my opinion.
That awkward starting junction haunts my dreams
I just wish they'd give us the option to start from a train station rather than the highway. I always wanted to be able to start a small town with nothing but a rail link to the outside world and hoped C:S2 would allow this.
@@Helbore I think you can buy the tile you want to start in, biffa just bought that one for convenience, I may be wrong, don’t quote me
To kick off CS2, the first series I'm watching is Biffa! He has been staple to the CS community for the longest time who have provided endless entertainment and sereni-tea. Thank you Biffa!
No, thankyou 😁
Loving that the farms actually look like farms now with massive fields!
The biggest question I have, is if it's possible to save the rocks.
Cutting straight to the chase.
No, the game don't have move It zzzzzzzzzz
Looks like no rocks in the game.
It will day 1 for sure
@@GuuhRuiz
I think the crane's are a bit excessive for single-family residential, but I love that they added some kind of indicator that something is being built.
you could see zoning being build or upgraded in cities skylines 1 aswell?
there has always been an indicator that something is being built..
@@BeachLookingGuyScaffolding is enough though and smaller lifting vehicles
Hopefully, there will be a mod to remove the cranes from anything but high rises
@@BeingMal Bruh it's a building animation you really care that much?
The roads are super modular, which is incredible. I love it! It would be amazing if there was an option to combine things like green strips and trees before placing them, so you can place them down more quickly and easily. Also it would be super cool, if there was an option to apply these things to both sides of the road at once, just to make it a little easier, if you are mass editing.
Its going to be sad to see Cities Skylines 1 fade away slowly but i believe this will ease the pain of it so excited to see what people build cheers to the future Biffa.
I was on the fence about buying CS2 because I have been traumatized my EA and their greedy DLC tactics. But CS2 looks like a full game with insane more options than CS1. I am putting it on my steam wishlist, so excited!
Absolute Boss! Biffa trying to pack everything he is allowed in 30 mins definitely not an easy task. You rock man! Can't wait for more videos!
Someone knock me out so I don't need to wait to watch this
😂
The 25 hours i can wait but its the 6 weeks till can play the game is what is giving me grey hair and sleepless nights. LET'S GO ALREADY. I am tired of waiting. Lol can someone fast-forward to the release date PLZZZZZZZ
@@Robert-pl1gd for real! But hopefully we will get not many bugs, I hear the bata has been getting patch work, it would really suck to get a bug where the game is unplayable practically, it looks like the ppl in the game need some work, same with possibly the roads
@@Robert-pl1gd honestly, 6 weeks doesn’t seem like much time
WAKE UPPPPO
The farming area looks soooo good. Growing up on a farm in a rural town in the American midwest, I'm so excited to play with this stuff.
This really stood out to me as well. The agricultural industry looks so whacky with all those tiny fields and farms in the first game...
The weekly videos from both CO and Biffa have hyped up this game even more for me! Literally counting down until release.
Yes! Go higher and higher, the drop will be bigger.
Who is CO?
@@JakeSoulFreeTravels Colossal Order. The developer of the game.
@@drac124 Oh DER, I thought was a gamer. Thank you. Biffa has his way, but also City Planner Plays does a pretty good preview series as well. Biffa's is more personal I'd say, but CPP likes his organization.
Have you gotten the countdown clock in CS1?
The new power distribution system looks better, I hated having to put pylons everywhere.
Really cool that the devs are letting people play the game and be so open about it.
This game is looking better and better, and get more excited the more I learn.
I would love to get maps where you start a town from a small crossroads, a simple highway, or even from a single train station or ship dock with road connections unlocking later on. (Like how a lot of towns were started in the US)
Starting from a major highway interchange/exit does get repetitive after a while. And with the ability to now create/add outside connections, I think these types of maps are now possible and could add a little more challenge and different pace of growth
Once the mods and workshop develop Asian themes for buildings and housing, you should build Tea-okyo!
When you were able to highlight the road and then instantly build a grid type of road system, my mouth literally dropped! And that was only a few mins into the video!! Super excited for this Biffa!!
Hugo's already here, Biffa's building in CS2 and he's already mastered the cinematic camera mod, lovely video mate! Looking forward to Tea Haven Pt2 & 3! 😁
He follows me everywhere!! Hugo I mean 🤣
Good stuff!!! I like the newer cut and paste to build grids and that cut and fill for quay walls. Def some great vanilla qol starting items.
Im interested to see more with the xp and developmental points.
But either way, it was nice to finally see some live action CS2 play!
Teahaven!!!love it!!!
Looking forward to when a wider audience gets access to play so that we can get some critical reviews and opinions.
Why would you look forward to that lol. Is that why most fan bases whine and cry these days? You guys actually LOOK FORWARD to that? It’s exhausting that people take video games and entertainment media that seriously tbh.
@@TheSCPStudioDo you not want to hear differing opinions?
@@TheSCPStudio Gee. i wonder why anyone would want unbiased reviews in an industry that regularly deceives it's customers. Why would anyone want opinions that are not tainted by biases. incentives or has a vested interest in the success of the product they are promoting.
well you cant really shill it when you can literally see the gameplay and everything it includes. I can watch this and understand exactly what the game is regardless of Biffa's opinion or others opinions. lol @@4879daniel
it's pretty clear what the game is going to be regardless of Biffas opinion also i dont think BIffa was even giving his opinion but just playing
Biffa quick question did you set up the date or was that the earliest date that starts public content release? I’m so excited!!
It's the embargo date set by paradox 👍
One thing that instantly stuck out to me is how nice the highschool model is. I love the decoration and the parking that comes with it. I can't WAIT to dive into this game.
looking forward to this for several reasons, 1, it looks like the base game will have several functions of CS1 mods included and 2. looks like perhaps it will be less CPU intensive meaning it might work better on my system than CS 1 did unless I stayed strictly vanilla
I mean the designated platform release doesnt include PS4, so unless it was a compatibility problem it might actually be more intensive
@@Gracefulwarrior2124 I should have stated I am playing on a MSI laptop designed for gaming. BUT, CS1 once you have all the mods etc it gets really sluggish after a bit.
@@Keith_KC8TCQ Yea, possibly. I mean from the looks, its definitely has more detail with terrain, vehicles, map size, and pretty much everything that could be improved upon. Naturally it just makes sense that it'll take more power to run
Very much looking forward to your content for this game from the beginning. I jumped into CS1 quite late and your videos were incredibly useful for tutorial and ideas purposes, but I'm quite excited to learn and discover stuff myself along with you this time.
I'm the same and had loads of DLC in my wishlist for CS1 but removed it all and added CS2 instead ... I'm excited for it
It will be on gamepass if any of you are one console
immediately enjoy that the highway comes into the tile at an angle, straight off you've got a template for a more interesting city.
Super excited to finally get a glimpse of this game in full action!
9:20 - now i understand why brits have so many roundabouts and mini-roundabouts. The city planners are farming experience points.
😅
Hi Biffa! I'm absolutely loving the medium-density Rowhouses. I don't suppose there's any word on if they will be adding a Rowhouse-equivalent commercial option, like we find in any UK high street?
Quite sad that we're once again starting with a highway connection, and not a trainline
The European style buildings are nice, but I really hope the European style mixed use zones are available - shops on the ground floor with residences above. Can't imagine living in a city that doesn't let me shop within 10 minutes walk instead of going to a dedicated commercial zone.
They are 😁
there is north american style mixed used zoning too jsyk. but we call them bodegas here
Nice to see that not all industry is polluting the air, I missed this in CS1
Very exciting!
Having the crematorium right next to a healthcare facility is just so morbid. I love it! 😂
A first thing I really don't like is how it kept the zoning style of CS1. It's a regular few squares of a straight road and that's it. It doesn't work with irregular corners and such
Gunna ask the important question here Biffa: Is Hugo still a thing in CS2? Or is it better automated so you don't have to Hugo.
No tmpe lane connectors, but also not missing them yet!
Is it just me or does the way Biffa says Beta just puts a smile on your face???
Too bad we are still not able to zone properly along curves. Colossal Order improved the predecessor in almost every aspect, but apparently didn't touched the zoning system.
No irregular shaped lots....bigger zones..no work on road to approach/driveway transistions...no better conforming to slopes/terrain.....and graphics being a slight tick up from Cs1 vanilla doesn't mean much. I get some of the under the hood stuff was improved upon(at least we hope)...but overall I'm left feeling...wtf were they doing the past decade...this is the best they could do? CO needs some new graphic artists...thats for sure. Someone that knows how to actually make realistic looking roads/terrain. This aint it.
Thank you for this Biffa! I enjoyed watching this with my breakfast and hot coffee! it was very relaxing. I really appreciate the rode tools in CS2 so far. The way you can use the grid tool to attach new roads to pre-existing roads will be very useful. And the fill-in-wall feature is *chefs Kiss* Im also excited about being able to use tax percentages to encourage or discourage growth in the cities. I get so frustrated with CS1 because due to wanting to grow my industry areas but there only being demand for commercial and Housing. Now I can have more control over that and build my city the way I want! Very excited but also....I play CS1 on Mac so I may not get to play CS2 for a while.
Rofl at the Medical Clinic across the street from the Crematorium. I guess it's better than placing it across from the Elderly Care center. ;)
this 25 hours are going to be some of the longest ones
The road system alone looks so much better than its predecessor. It was a pain replacing and reorganizing all the roads when it came time to upgrade.
“Underneath the road where it belongs, some might say.” Pure gold 😂
I was so happy to see Hugo! Glad he made it to CS2. Thanks for showing off the cut and fill.
Hugo There is 5 years old and is already working full time - What a machine
Seeing this gameplay is giving me that same excited feeling that I got when I first saw Cities: Skylines 1. No game in the past few years has given me that. I was skeptical, but they seem like they really care about putting together another solid game. Here's hoping it's true!
Ah yes, a great video to start the weekend with CS2!
Remarks aside, I like how some of the features from TMPE are in the base game--such as the turn off traffic light, stop signs, no turning, and etc. TMPE for CS 2 might not be more as a complementary mod in the future instead of the full-blown traffic management mod like in CS1! Woooo, looking forward to CS2!!
Grid roads are a definite game changer for people who enjoy grid layouts, no more manual plopping.
Love the video showcasing actual gameplay, worth the wait!
Thanks 👍
That grid tool made me shed tears if joy
That is gorgeous road hierarchy if I've ever seen it!
I really can't wait until the video is released 😂
That’s really cool of colossal order to let the streaming community have early access. Are they taking yalls input, like a quiz ranking your experience 1-10, for example? Also did you and the other streamers get together and make sure y’all didn’t start on the same map?
it is interesting that they have made the starting road intersections easier to start with.
The low traffic density looks good. Finally no traffic waves :D
Anyway....I can't wait :O
Wow, this is the first video I've ever seen from you and I loved every second of it. Thank you for this delight! Can't wait to see your next video on Teahaven!
lifehack that I came up with in cities I: if you want other trees on your street, then select the tree you want and click it on the street section. This way you can create any tree street, even Californian palm tree promenades.
Biffa's dismay at being limited to a half-hour is palpable.
Roads: now with pipes. The best invention for stock version of City Builder games since Sim City 1. The only thing I am missing after playing 30 years of sim games is making octogonal blocks like the ones in Barcelona.
This looks amazing, such a massive improvement from the first game! Only issue is that you don't get many development points per level, so it will take ages to get anywhere with so many tabs in the progression tree
I have been cautiously optimistic about Skylines 2, but I am really liking what I see here
Wish we saw some later progress gameplay, they should’ve started you at a higher city level but I’m still so hype for this game
I loved the "Praise the sun" Easter Egg at the 21:33 mark.
Cant wait for this to be released! I built a PC for this game and Starfield. Gonna be an amazing Winter!
OMG the grid tool... I am drooling. That was beautiful lol.
3:54 When drawing roads, the gridway tool, there is also this with traffic circle instead of traffic light in the middle, Automatically.
12:08: no disappearing cars, but the truck had a trailer that disappeared lol
I can already see it coming. I will spend 70% in the workshop looking for mods, 20% debugging and 10% actually playong the game😅
😬 it's half the "fun" 😅
Omg. The cut and fill is such a small but important road! Now, I can make more realistic overpasses so much easier.
I love the district mapping tool you briefly touched on. Can't wait to see more videos, Biffa!
Watching you play the beta helps me decide on whether or not I want to purchase CS2 - Love the video and the sneak peak into the new game. Love how they've taken aspects of the previous game + mods + dlcs off the bat! Cannot wait!
The menus looks so clean, I love it.
I like that the fire appliance actually looks like a European one.
Ugh......not enough time. So good Biffa! Thanks for the update!
The game is looking really good, cant wait to get my hands on it wilst watching and learning from you whilst i build my cities at the same time, im glad i get to experience this game from the begging because i didn't get into the first game till watched your first video building new tealand, it randomly popped up on my feed when times were a lot tougher for me heathwise and it really helped me through it.
Less than two minutes in Biffa finds the roundabout tool. :)
As someone without (the need for) a car, seeing the zebra crossing right by the footpath brought a tear of joy to my eye 🧠
Curious about how the new traffic AI will perform, and if they have included TMPE type features into the base game!
I'm excited to see the mods people come up with since like the most popular mods are now just in the game
I love the fact that the terrain tools cost nothing. ❤
Looks like a big upgrade from the 1st one. lots of improvments brought in from the popular mods
im sorry but that loopy pedestrian path/bridge is just insane
Interesting choices with the dump on the coast, crematorium between two schools and pop star mansion overlooking industry lol
I'm really happy you can choose between a European and American road lay-out!
I'm so excited to be watching this. I've been a bit worried about performance as the previous gameplay we've seen was a little choppy at times. Hoping 1.0 runs well. From what I can see here, it runs great, but I guess we'll see what happens with larger cities. What's your GFX Biffa?
4090. But this is beta and not optimised yet 👍
If I wasn't hyped for CS2 before; I definitely am now!
I think I have never been so hyped for a city building game before
i like how Biffs plops the crematorium right outside the medical clinic 😂
Great to see Biffa being Biffa even in CS2! Great introduction to the new gameplay. Can't wait till the 24th of october now!
I finally put my order in today. Much of the reason I bought CS and have purchased CS II is because of your great content. I hope that Colossal Order appreciates you.
So excited to see more. I have been watching you for years now and so happy to see your channel has grown so well. Well deserved Biffa! Keep up the amazing work!
I feel like this one, like most city builders are designed for US grid style cities. Would have been nice to see the zoning fill out the tiles more around curved, spaghetti style roads like European cities. I feel like as it is, there will be large zoning gaps around curved roads.
Teafortwo would be a great cityname
This is really exciting. It looks so much fun! I hope we'll get more content soon😊
I really hope this game comes with a mandatory online connection.
Hey biffa I was worried about how hard cs2 looked but with you playing it looks so good and not as hard thanks so much
