I'm so thrilled you're watching this! It's such a brilliant show, shot beautifully and the story-telling is 💯. I love that Rapman took sickle cell, a disease that affects Black people/POC and turns it into a super power. I can't wait for Season 2.
@@marshallstannus Because it's too little too late. This is the kind of series/ movie that should've existed in the 2000's. Hollywood is just behind. Blade came out in 1998, this is the kind of series that should've followed up in 2002 after Spiderman. The average mainstream white audience is definitely not watching this because they're not centered, or it's "woke". Black women definitely interested in romances like Bridgerton and K-Dramas, not superhero genres. Black men definitely just doing this type of content to win back black women since black women are no longer militant Pro-blacks
9:25 That's probably because he used up all of his powers and simply couldn't do it again so soon. Also Sharleen is Sabrina's sister, not friend (7:47).
Totally understand the so soon part, but like, I feel he could recharge and do it, even if it’s a few days later lol, I guess he hasn’t harnessed his power yet to do massive jumps? What do you think?
*Warning spoilers* : about the fact that Micheal didn't try to go back in time to save Dionne, I think it's because he can't activate this power unless his own life is threatened, like in the first episode when Tazer stabbed him. It's just the way I understood things though
Michael can't go back in time that far. He can only go back a few minutes. Once, he saved the group, he ran out of juice, she died and it was too late. Her death was for sure inevitable. He tried EVERYTHING
No. I think many people mistook him standing there as he’s the villain but he’s their leader for sure. You can hear him saying get ready while his back was turned. They were preparing to face the people coming out of the portal.
Michael was never the villain. Marshall didn't pay attention to the show. No one paying attention thought he was the villain. He was organizing the fight against the enemy.
Sadly, I have seen complaints that all the people that get superpowers are of African descent. Even though the show has a very clear explanation of why that is.
Who cares,we didn't complain when the x men were mostly white American individuals or that superman and batman are also white American. WE JUST ENJOYED THE SHOW Why can't those crybabies do the sane

Thanks for the analysis man! Supacell had really bad marketing, I've never seen a trailer and it just showed up on Netflix. And as a black man I don't like when producers dumb down words to denote that it's black focused. like supacell or words like Dat, dem, boyz, killaz etc. So I thought this was just straight to Netflix superhero fodder like Jupiter's legacy, just black. But I'm hearing great things so I'll check it out.
Was really looking forward to watching this but I'm 25 minutes in and had to pause it, I feel like as a white person maybe they don't want me as a viewer? Seems like every scene I have watched is a black person complaining about white people, they even complain about a white women on a dating show named Karen. All the guards in the first scene are white that kill the black lady, all the prisoners are black, all the bosses are white. Is every villain in the show going to be white? Do they really divide good and evil by race? Is every scene in the show going to be black people complaining about white people?
Now that you've had this experience, you have a better understanding of what it's like being black and growing up watching Hollywood movies. Pretty much all leading characters were white.
Now you know how it feels like 😂😂😂😂😂 Back then, all we ever so on TV were white people, white cartoons, etc. As if they did not aim for the black audiences. So,basically... Welcome to OUR world bro
@princessm8977 Remember when blacks used to die first in horror movies? It became so obvious that even the movie characters themselves, would break the 4tg wall and pointed it out😂
She’s Sabrina’s sister not friend! Sorry everyone!
😂😂😂
Thanks for telling us about this! I did not regret it
I have friends that i lost to Sickle Cell all before age 40. I am happy that the show is bringing a global awareness to Sickle Cell. Excellent show!

Great show, it deserves a lot more love, I've been recommending it when i get the chance
Much appreciated!

they are sisters not friends btw but great analysis i thoroughly enjoyed the show
EVERYONE is talking about supacell, it's just Americans who aren't talking about it
As usual they never appreciate anything
Truly a great series, I hope the hype keeps rising on it

@@marshallstannus definitely expect him to try again when he figures out how to properly use his powers
Yeah.. cause he did try going back but it wouldn't work

Lol I think it's cuz it literally ran out. He had just done it before. No way he was doing that twice
I love your thorough analysis of shows and movies. Your passion really shows through.Keep it up.
lmao in my country it's all everyone has been talking about. It's been #1 since it came out.

you're on a rollll, loving all the vids
When was Michael's future self a villain?
No. I think many people mistook him standing there as he’s the villain but he’s their leader for sure. You can hear him saying get ready while his back was turned. They were preparing to face the people coming out of the portal.

Michael said “I know where she is” I therefore, in season 2 he can go back to that point in time and save her.
Loved this can’t wait for next season

I enjoyed it thanks buddy
I've actually been hearing about this show here and there, I might give it a watch.
Better than a Marvel Movie 🍿

They had an asian villain in that lab there 😂
What was the name of the girl who was with Veronica(the girl taxer beat up) ?
The acting is great.. But this show is soooo fukking slow and boring..
It beats vampire diaries or twighlight tho
