You answered a question which I should have asked long ago but never asked.

this was wonderful but surprised you didn't mention the bending of the knees and how that can be so helpful to lengthen the spine to avoid the rounding and to bring more ease into the pose.

Thanks for the detailed instructions on the pose. Can any yoga props be used to help with this pose ?

Hi! What problem are you experiencing with the downward dog pose? Props may be helpful, but we need to understand your issue in order to assist you further ❤️

I can’t reach the ground with my heels and yes, I feel a lot of pressure in my shoulders and hands. But to make the down dog more narrow, doesn’t help take the pressure away. What else could I try? Because my heels still don’t really touch the ground when I make it more narrow.

You can try to widen your hands a bit more and turn them out. This might reduce the pressure on your shoulders. If you feel a stretch in the back of your legs and that's why you can't bring your heels fully down, don't worry! It will change with practice, or it might just be a peculiarity of your skeleton. Be kind to yourself ❤️
