  • Yes, I really did. I crashed a customers car early on in my detailing career. This is how it happened and what I did.

Got everything worked out! Yeah, people say I should do detailing because I’m always doing my car, and I said doing your own car vs somebody else’s car is a whole different story…lol😂

Agreed 😊 love detailing mine and my wife’s car and sometimes a friends car for fun.

Nice to see people being honest about mistakes/mishaps. Happens to everyone.

Thanks for sharing this story on how to be honest and admit mistakes. I avoid moving any customer cars as just do not want exposure to the liability, even if it is not my fault.

“Where’s reverse”? I had the same problem the first time I had to move a Ferrari out of my shop/garage. I’ve been driving 45 years and am very familiar with sticks and gear selection on the steering column.
I’ve never had an accident yet while working or moving customers cars but I’m sure it’ll happen one day. Key thing is NEVER EVER get too cocky or comfortable in a customer car. I also am insured to $750,000 per vehicle I work on.

I hadn't considered this before, but it is probably worthwhile for detailers to learn how to drive stick. Or really anyone who works with cars.

Did u continue to move the cars around? Just curious after if u left the stick shifts where they were or did this cause u to learn? And how did u go about that? Sounds like another few stories to tell. Great story and lesson! Glad u can laugh about it now. 😊

I did eventually learn but I was much much more hesitant to move cars around after that.

Will a touch-less soap be too strong for the spray on coatings

Thank you for not just have footage of you narrating/talking. Much rather see b-roll footage of cars getting detailed than a talking head. A lot of UA-camrs don’t understand this. They think we want to see them talk to the camera or talk while they drive.
