You need to prepare before the day. You sleep hungry. No eating 3hrs before sleeping. While you sleep, your room must be cold, dark and silent. During the day on your breaks, you should do recovery like doing breathing techniques. Eat lightly or do fasting but be sure you are hydrated and aim for the clear urine. After the day, reward yourself a massage.

I will do this tomorrow to catch up on my masters thesis. I work a full-time job and I’ve been putting off my thesis forever. I want to finish it within this may. I hope I’ll be able to.

If you cant focus and have impulse control issues you will have problems with all study methods involving highly rigid scheduling of time and activities.

@@Sirbikingviking if you're like me you have to have a lot of things going on at the same time and progress all of them only a little bit everyday. every once in awhile you end up with momentous periods of time where you're basically burning all your task lists, And then there's a mellow/depressed period where you have to come up with new things. And then you start over.
I spent like 12 years switching between jobs until I ended up in one that is conducive to this type of process. basically as long as I occasionally produce a bunch of results that are all really good then I'm untouchable. when people at work try to take stock of what I'm doing, sometimes it looks like nothing, sometimes I haven't slept in like 3 days, but they know that if they wait a couple of months I'll have a bunch of shit for them.
And I use the same strategy with like upkeep of my house and of my relationship as well, much to my boyfriend's annoyance, but he too knows that if he waits, it'll be good.
tldr I don't try to compete with those compulsions. But my life kind of sucked and I got fired a lot or encouraged to leave several times, But I had a lot to show for it, so I could turn that into something else even if the next thing also wasn't going to work.

No idea if it will works for you. But I have ADHD and I often work 10h/day for weeks. (Deep work, not shallow work)
The #1 tip for me is to make a bet. To have urgency. I betted 1000 euros publicly, wrote to my clients, superiors, I've often bet 200 euros, or simplu my reputation.
As long as the fear of loosing the bet is higher than the fear of stopping the task

@@Sirbikingviking Try to surpass the mental struggle when doin an activity. Try reading for 1 hour, lock in a room and get bored with the book, i recommend ypu fiction, imagine as vivid as possible the images described in the book (and do not read the preface or prologue go directly to the material). Essencialy count 10 minutos with a clock qhile you read but do not pay attention to that try to concentrate as much as you can in the book and if 10 minutos or 20 minutes happens and you cannot focus still take an hour or two and try again the acitvity im proposing you.
