We need to take a break from Pak and give more attention to China now. We need to start the Chinese language in our schools. Set up think tanks to peek into the Chinese mind. Develop China experts and China journalists. Even Bangladesh has left Pak behind. Anyways Imran Khan is our guy there. I am very happy that he has made a political comeback. He'll turn Pakistan into a "Riyasat-e-Medina". So much so that even the Taliban will be embarrassed.

Based on all my readings I am convinced that the founding fathers of India in 1947 did a good job. Esp the constitution founders. There is a wonderful book (forget the title) about how the checks and balances were put in place for our armed forces . And that ensures democracy however imperfect persists and is not hijacked by the armed forces.

Even Indira Gandhi was able to impose Emergency for 3 years DESPITE the Supreme Court deferring, and she got the Judge sacked & appoint new ones...ultimately she had to listen to the masses.
The real difference b/w Pakistan & India is CULTURAL values. Nobody talks about it much bcz it then becomes politically incorrect.

2 :- The money was given and used by PTI (party) not Imram Khan.

If a country needs a loan they go to Banks ... Like World Bank, ADB etc or even commercial banks... Countries go to IMF when they know Banks will not lend .. this is called a bail out.. IMF is specifically meant ONLY for such situations - lender of last resort

Why to care about Pakistan
Imran Khan organized a few maches in Canada too, to raise funds for the cancer hospital in the memory of his mother. The spectators were essentially people of Indian Origin (Pakistan and India). And one of the match was abandoned, when Sameer Dighe turned the match around and India was about to win. So Imran Khan had found a method for raising fund - for his personal causes however noble they were !

Just don't analyze pakistani politics and economy - they are irrelevant to us now.
Your hatred of Pakistan and Imran Khan hinders the ability to do fair journalism. Try to overcome this hatred and may be then you can see why Imran Khan still hold majority of support from common Pakistani people. This support is not present for any other party and that is why every party is against doing a general election other than PTI

One more Pakistan centric episode, frankly tired of that country. In any case, Snehesh Phillips is a nice guy but don't see much commentary on Indian defense acquisitions that are hard hitting and based on the delays in every sphere of Indian defense equipments that is much overdue. Shekhar ji, why not an episode on the short sightedness of IAF in replacing Mig 21 with major orders of Tejas? Why are trhey hell bent on importing more foreign fighters in 114 MRFA contest that will take yyears before new planes arte delivered. Why not IAF provides large enough order and have HAL partner with private company to jack up their manufacturing pace? Why doesn't IAF understand that it is not tenable to still vintage Mig 21 when domestic Tejas are available, or trying to have a new MRFA contest tamasha? Is the IAF leadership that dense or removed from the reality of the danger of foreign dependence? Why don't they learn from China example? Or ofr that matter, why does Indin army depend on foreign designed assault rifles when Indian private companies are trying to produce local versions? Assault rifles may not be hugely strategic but a locally designed and produced rifle provide a huge isible sign Atmanirbharta. Frankly I don't see Indian defense forces ever coming out of their massive foreign dependence and it is sad that Modi sarkar cannot motivate them to wean of foreign maals, only Manohar Parrikar led some meaningful changes but it ended with him leaving defence ministry and untimely demise.
Agree with your observation re Shekharji’s obsession with Pakistan. The GoI , MoD , IAF and AF in general, may appear to be foggy in their heads including some obvious and glaring misses. I am sure they cannot and will not discuss everything in public until it is worth doing so.

Sir. You don't have much knowledge about this issue. PTI has already submitted all these transactions to election commission almost 8 years ago. This is not a financial scandal. A Pakistani citizen can donate funds to any political party of his country. Important scandal is in allegations of 20 million dollars bribe that was given to Nawaz Sharif by the same person and this is also part of financial times story.
