This scene wouldn't be worth our time without the late James Horner's masterful score. Great job on the graphics.
A boatload of children and being the only ship in the quadrant. What could possibly go wrong? Lovely video! 🖖
Wow... can't believe I missed this. Stunning work!
I can't express how much i love the rendered editions and I miss this channel so much I really was hoping to see a upload at least in 2020
Amazing, the best ship ever:))
John Walker chjgfhffh
Good gracious! This is great! You can even see the individual plates of material making up the saucer section!
absolutely beautiful. fantastic work.
It's beautiful 😍 epic scene
Amazing the difference music makes. Something about this that edges TWOK over TMP though. There's almost a sense of drama, of 'let's go to work' from the moment Kirk arrives on the bridge to a bustling scene of a ship ready to depart to Spock's instruction of "Mr Sulu, you may indulge yourself."
And this work here seals the deal.
Love this clip as I love the film best startrek movie ever.
Very nice. It took me longer than usual to detect that this was CG and not the model, so the state of the art is progressing. Those tutti frutti-colored tiles on the saucer section must have been murder to render in all their variations.
Very nice! Great direction and production.
Shortly after: So much, for the little Training Cruise.
Long overdue: it really is, "Wrath of Khan," rather than TMP, that needs its effects remade and upgraded.
i really enjoy your videos/perspective on Trek. Hope you're able to start creating and uploading again soon. thank you for your work so far!
Take us out Mr. Sulu.
Lights still out on the arboretum/rec deck...
For an interesting view, try loading a copy of the extended sax
riff from Gerry Rafferty’s Bake Street, then turn the sound off on “Clear all
the moorings” and play the riff while watching the Enterprise leave dry dock.
Talk about a refit. I can just barely recognize the old girl. 😊
So by Star Trek II, was the Enterprise in line for retirement given that it was assigned to training missions and with the expect launch of the Excelsior?
Coming to the end of it's life as a front line ship I would say. It's not just the age, it's the space-miles...
JamesL631 data link to the fact that I was an Essex class carrier built in World War II was very much smaller than the carriers that were US Navy was using for Frontline service. But was plenty big enough to handle training aircraft
A certain product of late 20th century genetic engineering would ultimately have his own ideas about that, however. 🖖😉
An der Textur musst du noch bisschen was machen..
There is a simple power about the scenes in the TOS movies that all the multi-million dollar SFX of the reboot films and Discovery just seem to be unable to match. Is it a lack of heart and soul?
Nothing like the original music score!
