I love your videos, they are so informative and I love your voice and Canadian accent. Beautiful and soothing. Also, not pregnant, but we are planning on having a second baby sometime soon!
I'm 33 weeks pregnant. I really want to go to term this time however I'm interested in all your topics and information, who knows what I might need. ❤ Thanks and all the love for all the women that are in the process of creating a future generations.
Currently 40+1 and ready to meet my baby! Going for my membrane sweep in 3 days and will schedule induction for 41+3. Have been curb walking, eating dates, sexy time, nipple play, all the things! And still waiting…fingers crossed 🤞🤞 Thanks for all your wonderful and educational videos (with no judgement) 🥰
I love being called out right at the opening of the video 😅 I’m glad you’re not a fan of castor oil because I like having a reason not to try that one. I’ll be 40 weeks in two days and most likely induced at 41 weeks so having these ideas to possibly get this baby to come naturally is great, thank you!
@@mamanursetina he is a happy camper in there. I went to the hospital last night because I was having consistent contractions that were increasing in intensity, but after we got there they slowed down. 😅 I’m only 2 cm dilated as of last night
@@Kassieengberg Hey...2cm is 2 cm. Remember that what you are doing for dilation here and now doesn't effect how quick or flow it will go! You could blow all the way to 6cm by a few hours from now! (and you could also stay 2cm for the next week...) Try to hang in there ok?
@@mamanursetina I just wanna say thank you so much for your videos ! I started being induced on Thursday and ended up needing to have a C-Section Friday morning. But our boy is happy and healthy. Your videos really helped me know what was going on and what the nurses and doctors were talking about . 💝😊
For anyone else wondering theres also the miles circuit which is to help get baby in optimal position and a lot of women swear that it started their labor.n
Not pregnant or planning to be for years, but I have intense medical phobias and have been terrified of the thought of going to a hospital for birth but want to be safe! After finding your videos and other very sweet L&D nurses I feel WAY more comfortable about going in to a hospital. I have been praying I'll get a kind team, I am a very sensitive person and I'm worried I won't be able to stick up for myself when put in such a vulnerable and scary position.
It's great you're working to prepare yourself and are getting more comfortable! It's important to know that if you are not vibing with your assigned nurse for whatever reason, you can ask for a different nurse. Just ask to speak to the charge nurse and let them know how you're feeling. You can do this without throwing the nurse under the bus, too. If you just explain you have anxiety and that the nurse did nothing wrong (unless they did do something inappropriate, of course). If u don't feel like u can advocate for yourself, have your support person help, or consider hiring a doula.
How to not induce labor 1) Don't walk! Don't even walk on a curb 2) don't stick your finger in it 3) No sex 4) put tape on nipples to avoid stimulation 😂 4) Avoid dates 5) Avoid laxatives such as castor oil I'm just trying to buy myself as much time as possible 😂 my babies comes at 37 weeks and im just trying to make it to 40 for the first time.😅
You don't have to be dilated at all for a membrane sweep, it's just super uncomfortable. I wasn't dilated at all and my cervix was still hard when I had my first one but pushing through, it really helped get things moving
Yeah if you're less than like 3cm dilated it HURTS to get a membrane sweep. I was 2cm on the outside, 1cm on the inside and it felt like one of the worst period cramps I've ever experienced
For my first baby i had to induced..but once induced, my baby came out so fast..i believe its happened because I'm taking virgin coconut oil once a day from 35weeks pregnancy...
With my first I was 40+3. I lost my mucus plug, an hour later my water broke, 4 hours later not a single contraction. I went in to see my midwife and tried pumping and then she advised castor oil. I went back home and 💩 my brains out, then immediately started having contractions 😅
I'm going in to take the cervix stitch out and this is my 4th pregnancy.. this pregnancy hasn't been very good and I'm hoping the waters break while my stitch is gone 😅 36 weeks x
Be careful when curb walking that you maybe choose a lower, gentler, even curb. Trying this out is is how I sprained my ankle during pregnancy. (Fortunately, I wasn't about to go into labor at the time.) The curbs in my neighborhood are not friendly, and I'm admittedly kind of clumsy, but even so...take some warning.
I ate 4-5 medjool dates a day starting at 37 weeks. My daughter was born at 37w7d and my active labor only lasted 2.5hrs. 🤯 Who knows if it was the dates but I did enjoy them and still had some left for postpartum. 😊

@@ZunairFamily-l3h thank you for asking! It went well I’d say baby was born at 39 weeks and 1 day. Early labor started Tuesday he was born Thursday water broke Thursday at 2:45am and he was born at 10:36am with one small tear for me.
Hi! I’m 39 weeks and 4 days and my doctor said I have low amniotic fluid and to bed rest. He mentioned inducción next week if it gets lower . I wanted to walk to make baby come. What should I do?
I’d be curious to know why your doctor put you on bed rest. That’s not usually something that’s done anymore (pelvic rest and bed rest are different things) and if they are concerned enough to put you on bed rest I would wonder why they wouldn’t suggest induction now as you are 39 weeks and 40 days. I cant advise you to go against your providers care recommendations so walking seems to be out. Did they do a membrane sweep? Please pay attention to your baby’s movements over the weekend closely ok and go on and get checked out if you’re at all concerned about any changes in baby’s patterns of movement ♥️

I now wonder if that was because of the castor oil
Im 39 Weeks And My Dr Is Recommending I Get Induced If I Havent Had My Daughter By My Next Appointment Which Is Thursday Only 4 Days Away So Im About To Try All This And Probably Refuse Induction If She Doesnt Come Up With A Better Medical Reason To Induce Me Other Then Im Overweight And They Can Induce Me At 39 Weeks

0 weeks pregnant just preparing for my surrogacy journey ! I was induced at 38 weeks with my last since baby before that came too fast and unexpected at home all alone lol
Chat with your provider. There is pretty small amounts of evidence on dates. We know like I mentioned they are a great punch of calories and nutrients that takes up small space in your tummy but how they actually induce labor the evidence is fleeting. So if you love dates chat with them and go for it but I wouldnt rely solely on dates to get you there!
And I dont know the answer for sure. I can say you shouldnt be trying to have a baby any earlier than 37 weeks so keep those efforts minimal until at least then :)
Castor oil, vodka, & orange juice cocktail with baby#3 @ 38 weeks to avoid being induced AGAIN. Had to be induced with babies 1, 2, & 4. It worked? Or perhaps labor would have started anyway?
Ok did some reading. The concern is they are naturally sweet so that’s elevated fructose and are high carbs, which also can mess with your blood sugar levels. Consensus seems to be in moderation they are ok but best to ask your provider this one!
Oh goodness lots of reasons. Csection is a major abdominal surgery that comes with a major recovery and long term effects! A lot of women want a vaginal delivery because they are better able to care for and bond baby immediately following birth. Lots of reasons! Maybe they want lots of other kids and having C-sections for that increases risk of uterine rupture…
I agree, inducing labor unnaturally is so unnecessary if baby is not coming out on 41 just start a c section already. I mean almost 40% of induced labors end witj c section anyway so why traumatize mothers unnecessarily. C section is safer for baby amd mother also person can get having c sections for other pregnancies if tjere is less than 3 years apart between babies
I’m literally not even pregnant…just really over prepared 😅
