The problem is, it's skipping that quick but the wheels are just spinning and the car isn't actually going that fast because no traction... Thus the crappy part of power in FWD. Need more suspension work to get the power to the ground. Not hating, being realistic. I own the same damn car too , lol.
Shoutout from San Antonio! Are you running the stock all season tires? I recently bought a leftover 2017 gti dsg and I'm looking to go APR stage 1 but I'm sure it'll have major traction issues. In stock form it has trouble putting down the power in first gear and will even break loose in second.
rowdytitan yeah unfortunately they're the stock rubber bands lol. The tune will absolutely change your car bud, but I will be getting a sticky compound tire soon lol

I was thinking about getting a golf r(pre owned) but the gti is just a better investment. Around 15k less. With that I can get a tune with probably stage 1 parts and fix some of the exterior
I feel so lucky to live in the UK where we can buy the Seat Leon Cupra, which is basically a Golf R engined GTI with LSD. 280, 290 or 300bhp. Check it out online 👍
I have a manual stock mk7 and the torque feels great if ridden with some bigger people and it puts them in their seats. Even knocks a few phones out of the hands😂
@@seanluxenburg3272 let's say you were on 315hp. did you have any problem with it? dsg / engine / whatever or 100% reliable? moreover if i may ask did you notice any positive change in MPG when not pushing the car but just using it respecting the limits?
@@GuruJoshProject101 I ran stage 1 for about 10k miles with zero hiccups at all, I've been stage 2 now for 13k miles with absolutely zero hiccups. The clutches had zero slip and the engine never felt over worked either. The mpg for me didn't change much, I averaged 32-33 on the highway regardless of the tune and driving it normally.

So I wouldn't say it made the car louder . I do have an intake, so the turbo surge is much greater since the tune turns up the boost a bit. My exhaust is a res and muffler delete bud.
@@aaronnunez9870 no problem bud, no I did them together. The res delete from what I could tell, you can barely tell a difference if any. So that's why I did them both. I'll end up getting a full system down the road

I do have a dogbone insert from cts but honestly I never seemed to get wheel hop, just a ton of spin lol

Sully It's tuned for 93. Only way to get anything higher here, is to use some torco

I never had the car dynoed I'm not sure. Just from the seat I'd say low to mid 300's

When I was stage 1 depending on APR's discounts and deals, I paid like 600 or 700 for the tune I believe. I already had an intake and exhaust
