    Great content. Any advice on rigging for pinks on the rivers? Used to fish the Skagit back in the day with a 4oz weight and a long swivel arm using sand shrimp. Nice lazy fishing since I could just set the rig and wait for a fish. My wife even would attach a bell so she didn't have to stare at her line all day. Anyway, interested on your take on fishing for the pinks on fast moving rivers.

    • @HolyMolyOutdoors
      @HolyMolyOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      Plunking is a great way in the big rivers like the skagit. I would also say that some areas around river bends may have an inside current seam with slightly slower water where wicked lures, twitching jigs, and dick nites can be casted to. From a boat you have more options to search for the holding water

    • @HolyMolyOutdoors
      @HolyMolyOutdoors  2 роки тому +1

      Thanks for watching and the support! Great question too. I think based on the design, the rotator is more for a beach fisherman and coho/pinks as it has more surface area and flutters. The buzz bomb seems to make a faster drop which I like for deeper water

    Love the single hooks enclosed in the 3 pack..?what size hooks do you feel comes with it? Seem smaller.
    Also, a suggestion for figuring out the shore line your working if it’s shallow or not? What depth do you consider shallow, average or deep?

    • @HolyMolyOutdoors
      @HolyMolyOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      Definitely smaller size, might have to do a review and open one up to showcase.
      As for how to read a beach, I judge it typically on the shoreline taper. If you have a steep beach, typically that can be associated with a deeper drop off. You might be able to see a rip or ledge at certain times of the tide as well. One of the best ways to learn a beach is go at an extreme low tied. Gives you a great look at how the beach runs. Hope that helps!

    • @HolyMolyOutdoors
      @HolyMolyOutdoors  3 роки тому +1

      Oh depths wise, shallow Id say less than 10ft like a sand flat. Medium would be one that tapers off, and deep would have a ledge drop
