I’m using 30 pound braid to 20 pound fluoro here. Overkill for Coho fishing, and this rod over powered the fish. I was set up for bigger fish. I would have gone 20 pound braid to 15 pound mono.
The Braid to Fluoro/Mono knot I use is called the “crazy Alberto” very easy and very strong. If you google braid to mono knots there are several good easy
knots out there
@Chainsaw Milling Why mono leader over fluoro? Weren’t you using fluoro? What length should I do for my leader and hook size? Appreciate the help and learning experience from your videos. Luv it! ❤😊
@@sojeonl6517 Fluoro apparently more abrasion resistant. I have had mixed results... sometimes I think the stretch in Mono makes it less likely to break under intense jolts. I use both Mono and Fluoro. Splitting hairs to find a difference. 2 - 4 foot leader length, Hook size should be proportionate to the buzz bomb size and fish jaw size. I love single hooks that are slightly oversized.

May I ask what pound test line are you guys using? Braid to mono or straight mono? What knot do you suggest for braid to mono or fluro? Thanks for sharing guys! 😊
Braid to Mono is hard to beat. Look for braid that is designed for casting too. We tend to tie a "double uni-knot" but there is also an Alberto knot
