Dang dude, as a dad and a novice fishermen trying to get my son into it, this has got to be one of my all time favourite fishing videos! If I wasn’t already a subscriber this one would’ve hooked me.
Awesome dude. I’m glad you liked it. I have 4 kids and they don’t all take to fishing the same. Some kids just click with it. Sometimes it comes later in life, I have a few friends in their 40’s just catching the bug for the first time now
Accidentally touched this vids spot on list. Dont know you of your vids, but it made my day hearing her overflow with fun and excitement. N i was dyin in beginning when she shrieked oer yonder in the bushes " oh my god , i got one" so ecstatically suprised , then immediately once pops was there , she went straight shit talkin , lettin you know it gona be a longin , since as suprised as she sounded to hook one, she apparently "told ya i was gona be the first fish catcher"
Beautiful video. I love your content. I fish for flounder in English bay, I've rarely used your excellent Buzzbombs for that, but what is your take on that? Good for sandy bottom fish?
They are very good for flounder, and if you are on sandy bottom you should bounce the lure off the bottom and it will attract them further. I had a lot of success with the UV Flashbomb RED 2.5" Buzz Bomb
Let the lure go to bottom and do short jigs upward while reeling in. You can also test bottom a few times if you have confidence that the bottom isn't too easily snagged (that's a trial and error thing unfortunately...)
When I jig from the boat I keep it right on the bottom. Fishing from the cliffs I get it to the bottom, work it and retrieve to keep it just off the bottom, but snagging is part of the game from the cliff. I’ve had lings smash it right at the surface along the edge of these cliffs
Hi there. Couldn’t find cougar cliff but it looks like you are in Vancouver? Can you recommend any shore accessible ling cod spots in the lower mainland or on the island parksville area?

Dude , shes such a angel. Id love to take her out fishing. Such a little ray of sunshine.
Best lingcod video ever...
Great upload! Love the zzzingers for anything on the bottom!
Honest question: if you're using three to six feet of fc on the end of braid, why not just use all fc?
Expense for one and castability......50 lb braid has the same diameter as 12lb mono or flour....much more casting distance

Awesome for flounder and sole. Check out Ep2 7:20
are you letting it hit the bottom and just jigging? how much spin retrieving are you doing?

Really want to know your set up would it be ok for you to share your rod and reel combo?
Sweet channel. You have some beautiful fishing areas.
Any salmon from those cliffs ? In Sooke there is a place like this catch both Rock Fish and Salmon with Buzz Bombs
How secret is the secret spot. I have to check this place out next turnaround
Desolation sound is epic lingcod territory. Pick your cliff
If actually fished there before it’s just to the left of browns bay in Campbell river, Vancouver island
@@travismarin7658to the right ;)
Single hooks
Post the regs that say that.
We are fishing a secret spot called cougar cliff🤣🤣🤣🤣
Arbitrary name ;)
I make better lures than these
