I love the little snide "footnotes" you add, they could be in character as the inquisitor reading the tale, or just from you directly, either way theyre great
Admittedly the Eldar got me into Warhammer back in the early 1980s and thereafter many hours of my life playing as Eldar, battles vs Skaven etc etc, loved it, but this was a cracking one to read 👍
Yeah. All the factions behaved like they should and all got their time to shine. It also gives the craftworld Eldar that slightly desperate edge that they need to avoid being too "Zen" in their stories.
Grand work, totally enjoy your book reviews. Your thoughts on Cawl inspired a deeper dive into the 42nd millennium. Thanks you. On disability with a shrinking brain, its quite dull to be fading away. So thank you provide an escape while stimming new ideas in a life of rolling fog.
Theoretically could you trick them into evolving into something that makes them extremely vulnerable to something else? Like use blunt weapons to make them adapt to be soft skinned or something, them use a arrow like stuff at that point? Idk i feel like there is something there.
Most likely they would just stack all of their evolutionary adaptations over one another. Like if you use laser weapons they grow mirror like scales then if you use ballistic weapons they would just use kevlar like skin over the mirror scales. The nids become stronger the longer a battle goes except on void battles.
The problem is that the Tyranids almost never fall for the same trick twice. If I recall correctly, in the Uriel Ventris Ultramarines series, the Imperial Navy try to fling an orbital refinery at an incoming hive fleet to detonate it amidst the fleet like a huge bomb. It worked once, but when they tried it a second time, the Tyranids actually used the tendrils on their ships to *catch* the refinery (this cost them a few smaller hive-ships but the 'nids don't care about losses), then they hurled it right back at the stunned Imperial Navy fleet. As you might expect, the explosion of that refinery crippled the Imperial Navy fleet in orbit around Tarsis Ultra, and allowed the 'nids to easily make planetfall near the very ironically-named city of Erebus on Tarsis Ultra. I'm guessing that Erebus was founded millennia after the Heresy, because if it had been in existence pre-Heresy, someone would have surely changed the name. But to be fair, the Scaurus Sector was named by Lorgar in honour of a Word Bearer captain who disappeared there during the the Primarch's "pilgrimage" into the Eye of Terror. And it was Perturabo who gave the Eye of Terror its official name--before then, it was simply known as Cygnus X-1. The Imperium's repression of its dark history is so extreme that sometimes, people even forget to rename things that were named after some its worst traitors from ancient history.
Good 👍 to have you back M8 Hope the family are doing well hate the NIDDZ (if you can send me contacts we still have a nice amisec for you to celebrate your good news). M and Nikki.
B-b-b-BIG VIDS! Super stoked about the Xtra Long videos on the way. Thank thank thank you for the research you do, the stories you tell, and sharing with us your marvelous voice. I enjoy the book reviews, but they always just make me wish I was listening to you narrate the book. I am very grateful for the rants, because the fandom family is the only way I get news about the "industry". Kinda the same way I don't listen to Audible narrators. I'm sure they're talented and wonderful, and I'm fully in support of them getting paid well. But for me, you are a fundamental voice of 40k. Vox in the Void, Amber King, WyvernAudio, Remembrancer, Oculus Imperia, Baldermort, Majorkill, Lutein, Remleiz, Alfabusa, All of Ogre Poppenang, and You, plus loads more I don't even have room to list; these are the voices that endeared me to this entire universe of Lore. You folks ARE 40k to me, thank you for all the magic.
I just had a shower thought that might be an okay idea. You seem to be the most well read Warhammer UA-camr as far as I can tell. Would you do a tier list video ranking all the Warhammer authors? It could be a good guide for new readers to figure out which books are worth reading and the algorithm may push the video to new viewers, if the tier list meme isn't dead.
I'll give you some S-tier writers right now. Keep in mind im basing 90% of this on how good their Audible content is, I dont have room for real books and I don't want eye strain from reading off an e-book. S-Tier: Aaron Dembski: I've read all of his Nightlords novels and short stories and the same applies to his Black Legion series and his stand out Horus Heresy books (haven't reached Seige of Terra yet) I'd say the second Black Legion book isn't as great as the first by a Longshot but still worth a read, and Spear of the Emperor is really good but it's not as good at the start as the other books are and only really starts being enjoyable mid way through. Chris Wraight: I can't get enough of this man just read his stuff.
The fact that most craft worlds don’t have near doomsday weapons. They were built prefall. I know they weren’t designed for battle but escape but with the amount of crazy weapons the necron have it feels weird that the eldar have none
Fantastic video like always. I enjoyed it a lot. You're mentioning the term "rival Tyranids" in there. I was always hoping to learn more about the possibility of Tyranids even fighting each other. Why and under which circumstances could such an event take place? And under which occasion would they just merge?? 🤔😅
Tyranid Hive Fleets all serve a different purpose and have particular a speciality. Kraken and Leviathan did almost merge during the massive fight on Craftworld Iyanden, but luckily The Eldar were able to fight them off. Also, some smaller Hive fleets have actually fight one another over Biomass if they encounter each other on the same planet. So their are rival Tyranids. But a Hive Fleet like Kraken and Leviathan would actually merge and work together, since they're two of the biggest.
In theory they wouldn't have come at all, or not for an extended time. The Tyranids were attracted to the activation of the Pharos Device, which would not have occurred without the Heresy making it necessary
@@Ng-zg4dq fine fine. It would be an interesting battle until the Dark Angels whipped out their Dark Age Tech. The First Legion would slaughter their way through hive fleets. The other legions would do similar things. The Eldar probably could have become tenuous allies since they would be sharing the Webway, and the Tyranids would get thrashed.
More soon

The crowning jewel of Eldar stories.
Yeah. All the factions behaved like they should and all got their time to shine. It also gives the craftworld Eldar that slightly desperate edge that they need to avoid being too "Zen" in their stories.

As you say they the remnants puritans who escaped just before the fall so I imagine they didn’t have access to all the truly good stuff
Thanks for the upload
Another great narration from an old beardy boy, all jokes aside excellent addition to the catalogue brother.
superb thank you
Love your work man! Your doing great!!!
I want to see orks turn into krorks from the fight that they'll have with the tyranids
Would certainly make for a interesting development. Hopefully it would be done better than the beast arises series.
Great video, thanks!
Love this 😀can't wait for more !
So glad your back 😎.
Good stuff as always ABP!
Top stuff as always ABP
Awesome video!
Wouldn't mind video on fantasy books so I can gather a reference point of where to start.🙏🏾
Funny how the Eldar insulted how the Imperium handled the tyranidd, then ultimately end up using the same, if not more drastic, tactics/strategy.
i know right
Superb work as always sir
Excellent stuff mate
Its nice 2 hear u again

well done!
I wonder how awesome the battles of a Imperium without the horus heresy against the tyranids would be
In theory they wouldn't have come at all, or not for an extended time. The Tyranids were attracted to the activation of the Pharos Device, which would not have occurred without the Heresy making it necessary

Legend thanks bro
No problem 👍
Come on. They finally give the Eldar a real battle, and they get curbstomped by giant bugs. Can't they give the rainbow Space Elves some love?
Quite excellent.
Always enlightening, entertaining and in this case most satisfyingly full of rightious xenocide
