You know that something has been hilariously screwed up in the research station, when the Astartes skip a standard landing, and just deploy in terminator armour first thing. XD
That ending is great. Main character doesn't realize until it's too late that he's an expendable pawn of his uncaring superior and it seems like the story will end on a real bummer ... and then it goes on just a little longer to reveal the superior is ALSO being used as an expendable pawn without their knowledge and will be disposed of as soon as they stop being useful as well. Good stuff. And well read!

Some of my favorite stories because they're self-contained. They're not the largest story they're just a snapshot of something the inquisitions doing which is always interesting
Just finished it! I love listening to these while welding. I'm always hungry (pun intended) for more Tyranid stuff! Looking forward to your next video!
Awesome, I absolutely love the old Forgeworld stuff and really enjoy your channel. I’ll put in a vote for Siege of Vraaks for a future project. It might just top my three favourites of 1- Two Metaphysical Blades 2- Blood and Fire 3- The Badab War
Its so nice to see an Inquisitor go down with the ship. instead of walking away as soon as a situation gets the least bit warm. Yes, he was trapped, and left behind. So its nice to see the all too frequent "Get out of Jail" free card used.
So happy to find that one of my favorite narrators has covered this story. If ever there was a candidate for a 40k movie, "The Anphelion Project" is truly it.
This can get A.B.P. demoted to interrogator.. but syill great to see this story dug up so long after "Doom of Mymeara" ! Do you plan to continue reviving other episodes from Imperial Armour anthology - for instance semi-forgotten "Raid on Kastorel-Novem" - another interesting episode where fingz went.. Orky.
This is my new head cannon for the explanation Of the video game deathwatch. Another completely different magos decided they Would do the same thing but figured they would get it right obviously they didn't.
Great story! Great execution in telling it as well. I love the end and the setting up of the Red Scorpions for their future purpose. One that in itself is near impact.

This is what keeps us coming back. Don’t worry about time man, your quality is top notch, I’d say on the level of leutin if leutin did this type of 40k content
It just goes against what Luetin does. Try to make sense of 40k lol... I'd predict for this story, right out the gate question ... Where's the Deathwatch? Why investigate a secret Lost tyranid research facility with a whole army? Why can the terminators only navigate with their flood lights? Did their tech marines remove their auspex scanners, sonar, radiation, environment, bio and gravitation scanners/sensors? But of course logic never makes for the best story.

Congrats on the new house! I just moved in with my girlfriend so I can empathize. Story was great, never heard this one before. The Tyranid kills were a little tame compared to some of the Execution Hour stuff, but the portrayal of the growing Hive Mind still managed to be creepy and fearsome. Most interesting, to me at least, was the Inquisitorial intrigue you added to the end of the tale. Provides a window into the very paranoid and constantly shifting interior to the institution, I enjoyed the part about keeping an unsigned death warrant primed and ready. If an Inquisitor needs to die, why wait up to 15 minutes to write a new warrant? The Emperor loves the prepared! Hahaha Great voice acting as always, I absolutely adore your Inquisitor Voice!
My goodness, that was an enjoyable romp! Love the notes at the end there - how it's OK for someone to dabble in those areas considered heresy if you are producing results for the imperium, but the evidence collected can be used against you when they decide that they don't want you around any more. I kinda feel sorry Inquisitor Locke and the remaining guardsmen at the end there. Locke may have had the arrogance of an inquisitor, but when he realised he had been betrayed he went out fighting still believing in the God Emperor.
@@ABorderPrince for real, I was listening to this and I had to watch a video on my TV and the next one was ravenloft... oh wait your laughing because my algorithm proves I'm a dork... yeah that too
Excellent reading! Imagine receiving "This is an auto response message..." via Astopathic communication. Just about choked on my Amasec! :) So what kind of punishment would be appropriate for the Red Scorpion's Chapter betrayal? A 100 year penitent crusade, or just "Leak" the fact of their betrayal and let them suffer the shunning from their brother chapters?
The lore stories of 40K are truly interesting and fascinating. Thank you for doing these for us. In this one, in my mind I can see the now dead forests of the world. That alone makes one worry - what killed all the plant life? Then finding this was a research project on the Tyranids set the apprehension high. Then the Gene Stealers attack - Oh LORDY! Gene Stealers are normally weaker and don't attack as much as they implant and start a false religion to conquer from within. But these Gene Stealers were brutal. I thought, if even the Gene Stealers are this bad....what did they do to make the OTHER types of Tyranids more terrible?
Great video and love the way you narrate these logs. Tyranids are a big threat if not countered as soon as possible, they are not nearly as deadly as Necrons or Chaos Deamons or Astartes but the sheer numbers and Hive mind make them deadly.
