The price is a little high (as expected for something so skookum), but having a physical reminder of all the laughs and wisdom is worth many times the price.
Re: Screwing I teach 50/90/100 when using a lot of fasteners on a product. Get all fasteners to 50% to ensure they all fit, then 90%(finger tight) for final adjustments, then 100% or three ugga dugga's depending on your fancy.

@@ChristinaK1024 olfa is Japanese and I can get blades here they're just less available in shops. I prefer the smaller blades. It's no problem,it's just a thought. It wouldn't be a big job to downsize the drawing on CAD.

Oh man beautiful, I 3d printed a plastic knife handle recently, used the mirror function to make it left handed. Can't wait to grow up and be able to metal 3d print a version. Also when you anodize titanium electrically you can choose the colour based on the voltage you use. Blue gold red etc, there is a entire chat you can follow. A electroplating brush a 0-80v DC power supply anyone become a artist.

This will go great with my Teale Designs fastback. It's a $150 or so dollar folding box cutter, but in the Truck/Automotive industry I use that thing every day, and picking up that hunk of solid titanium and flicking it open makes me smile EVERYTIME.
I don't even need box cutters too often in my shop but with the savings that could be had I ordered two and saved over 17,000 Canadian doll hairs. Thank you my Quebexican friend!

Been following for a some friggin time, i'm a painter and I use those cheap little itty bitty versions of this with snap off blades. And frankly, I like the thin profile of those, but hate the size.

BTWs, that piston keychain with the magnet is the cat's balls. Use it to collect little bits of metal out of my Midget and Sprite when I'm working on it, like screws and metal shavings from drilling shit out. Used it dangling on a string to fetch a lock washer that fell into my fan belt pulley because I couldn't find my magnet on a stick. Works great. Right pain the ass on a keychain, but super useful off it.
Clickspring made a proper vijeo on anodizing. You got to put the item in a pile of brass shavings and then heat it up to get that nice uniform coating. And no greasy fingers!!!!!!

Dear AVE, some of the more skookum widely available cutters have a strengthened blade sleeve with an extended tip, so if the blade is retracted it could be used as a prybar. Please include a extended fin for prying things apart for a Version 2.0. Will be sure sell one of my kidneys to afford one then.
I have carried a razor knife since I first started as an electrician in "96" I started with the tried and true stanley bulky wear holes in your pocket because is sat diagonal wearing the material in two spots. Later I upgraded to a folding razor knife that had a clip to carry in my jean watch pocket when I became a commercial diver . Its biggest problem is one blade two cutting sides and no room for replacement blades. If you add one more modification of a pocket clip to the strong side so every time I reach for it my thumb lands on the blade adjustment I'll buy several. ( rule of thumb when dealing with divers. Buy 5 of everything. Because you use one, you lose one, you break one and you steal one. But I do need the pocket clip so it stays upright in my pocket handy and ready for easy deployment. And for those counting #5 is you always have to have a spare.

I somehow missed this video, so this comment will likely go unseen by Uncle B... But, two thoughts: 1) Belt clip attachment? Just a simple style, doesn't need to be fancy or titanium 😊 2) Would it be useful to omit the very end of the outer metal strip, leaving just the Titanium strip? That way it's like that yellow one, offering a very thin cross section where the blade comes out of, but is still offering some rigidity! I figure with just enough to delete that last screw, should still be enough to prevent flexure in the now exposed and unclamped titanium layer. Bonus, in that the now exposed titanium will be able to show off any thermal coloring we apply! Eeeh?? 👍 or 👎 ?
Thank you from your AB neighbour! For extra bumfuckery, you can heat treat the stainless bits as well. Gives the outer pieces some contrasts to the clean stainless. Got mine put together today, bloody thing of b-e-a-utiy. Pro tip complete sanding of rough edges, assemble, sand assembly, disassemble, heat treat/anodize, then reassemble for silky smooth pieces🤌. Suggest an 80-180-320 grit sequence.

As a sign/wrap guy I would be all over another one of these in a version that fits the smaller 9mm OLFA blades...just broke the plastic lock slide part on yet another one the other day...we give these things a hot supper pretty frequently but still need something smaller with a bit of finesse...the olfa is metal everywhere except a tiny plastic slide lock
An easier way to get an even color throughout the titanium would be to heat a hot plate of steel, cast iron, etc. and set the titanium on it. Pull off when desired color appears, if not slightly sooner

So close but the bevel for the screws means reversing this for a left-handed version won't work.

I would sandblast the parts with a fine grit. Gives a really nice surface! An also takes care of the sharp lasercut edge!

I somehow missed this video, so this comment will likely go unseen by Uncle B...
But, two thoughts:
1) Belt clip attachment? Just a simple style, doesn't need to be fancy or titanium 😊
2) Would it be useful to omit the very end of the outer metal strip, leaving just the Titanium strip? That way it's like that yellow one, offering a very thin cross section where the blade comes out of, but is still offering some rigidity!
I figure with just enough to delete that last screw, should still be enough to prevent flexure in the now exposed and unclamped titanium layer. Bonus, in that the now exposed titanium will be able to show off any thermal coloring we apply!

For extra bumfuckery, you can heat treat the stainless bits as well. Gives the outer pieces some contrasts to the clean stainless.
Got mine put together today, bloody thing of b-e-a-utiy. Pro tip complete sanding of rough edges, assemble, sand assembly, disassemble, heat treat/anodize, then reassemble for silky smooth pieces🤌. Suggest an 80-180-320 grit sequence.
Honestly, cheaper than I was expecting. Can't put a price on quality. Buy once, cry once. Same as me pocket knife, $150 but I've had it for 10 years now

As a sign/wrap guy I would be all over another one of these in a version that fits the smaller 9mm OLFA blades...just broke the plastic lock slide part on yet another one the other day...we give these things a hot supper pretty frequently but still need something smaller with a bit of finesse...the olfa is metal everywhere except a tiny plastic slide lock
An easier way to get an even color throughout the titanium would be to heat a hot plate of steel, cast iron, etc. and set the titanium on it. Pull off when desired color appears, if not slightly sooner
