    Do you enjoy the new camera angle? It makes me look more like a normal height person imo. While also keeping the footage a bit more steady. But let me know what do you think?

    You shouldn't re steam milk. It's a different taste after the first time because of the molecules and sugars

    • @timo.hribovsek
      @timo.hribovsek  2 роки тому +4

      In a perfect world you are right, I tend to try and not re steam the milk if there is a larger quantity of it. If there is just a finger of it left I tend to just add fresh milk on top, it doesn’t change the taste in my opinion.

      Resteam as in using a stainsteel steel steam wand?. If so, everywhere practice you find milk to produce small pitchers for latte art

    do you multitask as a cashier as well? like taking money from customer and back to making coffee? and what you have to do between that

    • @timo.hribovsek
      @timo.hribovsek  3 роки тому +1

      Hey!
      Yes as explained in one of the other videos. I’m working alone, which is particularly awkward in this restaurant as it is not setup for takeaway. So i need to move around the restaurant to the till to take customers orders then back to coffee machine to make the order.
      So there is a lot of multitasking involved trying to get as many orders at the same time, so customers don’t wait alone unattended.
      Also I can’t interact with them as much as I would want to, since I need to go away from the till and they were not allowed to come inside because of Covid-19’s restrictions.
      So basically I would take order, take payment, cash out, make the coffee, serve them. Also serving food if there is an order.
      Beside that I would be making sure the whole working area is cleaned, stocked and do different prep for the day or next day.

    Which is better grinder? Time or weight for commercial use?

    • @timo.hribovsek
      @timo.hribovsek  3 роки тому +1

      We use Mazzer grinder which is extremely reliable and good in my opinion.
      Im not sure if I understand the question, if you are talking about grind weight vs extraction time?
      Its actually the correlation between them that make that perfect espresso shot.
      You should always play around with those settings and taste the espresso to get to the taste you would want!

    • @timo.hribovsek
      @timo.hribovsek  3 роки тому +1

      @@jamesarevalo1626 i think in barista at work vol.2 i explained I always weight my coffee at the starting of my shift first 2-3 hours and if the dosage in those hours doesnt move, then I tend to skip it. As i can somehow eyeball it if it is the correct amount. I will every now and then weight it, just to make sure everything is still correct.

    First-timer here. I like watching this particular video but I'd like to say that I'm worried about your left-hand shaking uncontrollably. Are you okay?

    • @timo.hribovsek
      @timo.hribovsek  3 роки тому +2

      Thank you for showing concern.
      To be fair i’ve had shaking problems in my hand since early age, not really sure why and never went to see doctor about it.
      First it was hard for me to work certain jobs, and some days are much much worse then the others.
      But with time I’ve learned to somewhat live with it and try to not give it much attention, is what makes it work for me.
      That being said being barista doing latte art, is definitely one of the most challenging jobs to do, with the type of tremor I have.

    • @dubbzz2349
      @dubbzz2349 2 роки тому

      @@timo.hribovsek you can get little filing tips , they have a rigged edge and will clean the holes in steam wand properly when you poke it through. You can use a spanner to wind the steam wand tip off. Try to clean it thoroughly, soak in caustic ( clean really well after that)
