make it a little spoiler that looks somewhat like an f1 spoiler to attach on the frame to where it is wider than the motor and it goes over the motor, and paint it black, put a big strip on the top of it that says "build break repeat" it would really give it a better look because the back looks a little bit empty. by the way amazing job on the paint
That’s cool guys its funny because that was the first color scheme i thought of. Since. That was so iconic in the 60s Racing circuits as i remember watching as a boy and having toy cars and ho slot cars. With that style paint job I have seen lots of reproduction decals on ebay for pretty cheap under vintage or hotrod. Stickers as i am into antique cars and car shows too
To save on sanding effort and supplies there is tool that is like made out of mesh with sharp edges and you take all the hi spots from bondo while it is semi solid state.sold in all hardware stores next to the body filler.
Hey I will give you thumbs up for trying ! Its doing something that most think its really easy and you are showing just what its like ! 2 thumbs up for effort !
Robotbacon7288yt Yt dude always use safty glasses or you know what I'll keep using Em and you can be the sorry fool in the future because you fucked up your eyes.
Robotbacon7288yt Yt who do think you are bitch boy someones showing they care and dont want someone going blind and decide to act like a bitch whats the problem with safety god forbid you save your eyes
It's fun to do projects like this. But, Clayton is right. I would hate to see someone hurt themselves because I didn't feel it was my place to remind someone to work safely. It only takes one accident to damage your eyes...especially when using a grinder or a cutoff tool. I got a piece of metal in my eye once and it scratched my cornea. It was not a fun experience. Awesome video but let's all be safe!
@@RosaHernandez-ot7vt your right it only takes one mistake to fuck your eyes up. Same as with a chain saw one little mistake and your fucked that's a trip to the hospital
Atleast you boys are doing constuctive stuff with your life and getting some experience instead of smoking dope or doing drugs and really you boys didn't dobto bad for your first attempt
Should be a STP sticker in the front you need fiber glass cloth for the cracks on the bottom of the kart and the cracks and to join the back back on it
"our fiberglass skills are lacking" stuff... guys! grab some aluminum window mesh screen, you can form it almost any way/shape you like with your fingers, then bondo glass fiberglass bondo glass bondo it nice. self tapping sheet metal screws are great as temporary holder for the screen, easy to fill the holes after removing. the aluminum sands away about the same rate/way as the bondo glass and fiberglass, so fairly easy to work. edit: PS, build a rear wing for it just because.
Now time to sit back & see if a theme park that this gokart came from in the first place will buy it back for big buck's to have it featured in there museum of theme park history of the 60's
Echoing what Clayton Suarez is saying wear safety goggles that stuff is bad for all your sensory organs eyes nose ears and mouth. Love the kart body I want to build one from scratch. good job on the body work and paint.
Curtis Martin It’s a 68 C10 that used to be a gas station shop truck for a Sinclair station in Iowa. We just picked it up a few weeks ago from Oklahoma, we might be making a vid on it soon when we do some more work to it, just doing general preventative maintenance to make it more reliable right now.
Of the same NASCAR but mine's better condition you're missing a glass piece a spoiler and that's basically it thanks for the paint job I didn't know what color it the original was
go back and forth over the thing with the paint can, not short bursts. Only stop spraying after you pass over the object and then go back over top, that will stop the tjger striping from all the short little bursts you guys did lol
wtf??? go on youtube and learn how to do fiberglass its not that hard i learn everything from youtube ;) body work , engine rebuilds you name it i have learned it from youtube
dude thats fucking awesome you thought to use window screen mesh i never would have thought of that! this is why i go on youtube! we can all learn some pretty cool shit from one another

Funny how a little body can make a go-kart look exponentially funner to drive, love it and well done so far. Cant wait to see the final touches!
Great restoration! You should put a 60s flathead Briggs on it to give it those aesthetics.
Nice paint job guys. 👍😎
I love the look of that blue stripe. It really brings out all the other colors of the kart. I can't wait to see what amazing things you guys do next.
Came out awesome guys. Looks like a Granatelli STP style paint scheme. Lots of old timer will pick right up on it.
Wow, you guys should be proud of that. Really nice result from what you had to work with.
wow, that looks incredible. Was NOT expecting anything like that!
The gold rims do look good with the red and blue, I love everything about this go kart!!!!
Matt's Garage
Great job on the paint
Well done guys. It looks quite nice.
This came out REALLY GOOD! 👍 👍👍👍!! Great job! I learned a lot lol
Loving the music - nice paint job!
Wow you guys did a great job on that kart!!!
Turned out really nice. Impressed ny the stickers you made. You should try fiberglass cloth and resin. You'd be surprised what you can do with it.
Good job thanks for giving that old girl a second chance.
looks awesome guys. well done
just found your channel through go kart vids and i love restorations, Came out sweet, you've earned my subscription!
Am I the only one who secretly wants it to be 2 stroke?

Damn y’all do a great job
You guys did amazing on the paint! It looks good (edit: It looks mint.)
looks more like a 70's/80's f1 style body. anyway, looks nice!
Haha what if Ferrari stole this design for their car 😂😂
Yep, like the one of the Williams FW06C and the Ferrari 312 t2/t4
@@artofthechicken1733 it would look much better
Nice job guys!!

Very cool ! Great work fellas !
For not knowing allot abt fibreglass u guys did ok it going to look good u might get some cracks in time but cosmetically its good
That guy is right you guys should put on safety glasses Other then That really cool I'm thinking about getting one to restore
You can get a spray can trigger that clips on for better can control and stops finger ache
I think it should get a six flags sticker that's where it was born and probably brought joy to loads of kids so for that it should be remembered.
can't believe that you have 13k+ subscriber only your putting a lot of effort on your video hope you reach 1m very fast love your videos!!!° cheers

Looks awsome
Hate to be that guy but please put safety glasses on, other then that dude this is awesome!
Robotbacon7288yt Yt exactly! My high school teacher used to say the same thing

Nice job.
Great video👍
Looks good
Atleast you boys are doing constuctive stuff with your life and getting some experience instead of smoking dope or doing drugs and really you boys didn't dobto bad for your first attempt
the paint looks great tho
Damn that's crazy. I've got the same freaking gocart accept min has a wing.
Should be a STP sticker in the front you need fiber glass cloth for the cracks on the bottom of the kart and the cracks and to join the back back on it
Only thing I'd like to see as far as the paint would be some kind of white pin stripe type stuff but it still looks amazing
Caleb Shugart I agree, sounds great

model nutty Huh...good to know, maybe next time, I’m sure we’ll be working with something like this in the future.

i have the exact same model of go kart but it seems to be much newer than the one you guys have
Love ya'lls vids
Hey you are the best
look into wet sanding with clear coat if you want some rattle can quality
also a biggie, UV resist clear.
THIS, is the video I’ve been waiting for!
Cringe Master ja
Nice vid subscribed
anybody know the original manufacturer of the kart?
1:17 in and damn im impressed
Me too
Love the video first time viewer of you channel.Definatly a subscriber could you guys tell me more about the late 60s c10? Would love to see a video!
Curtis Martin It’s a 68 C10 that used to be a gas station shop truck for a Sinclair station in Iowa. I just subscribed because I think you guys are cool nice vid btw

Welcome back to the 60's but now it's tuned the f*ck out
Take off the predator and rebuild an old briggs, please.
What type of Dewalt Sander did you use for this project?
go back and forth over the thing with the paint can, not short bursts. Only stop spraying after you pass over the object and then go back over top, that will stop the tjger striping from all the short little bursts you guys did lol
Look good
How many cans did you use as :primer :blue :red
It's missing a wing spoiler would look good
Notifications squad 🙏🙏🙏🙏
i most like the before
Add a curved perspex windshield
What’s up with the c10
What year is ur Chevy truck? Mine is a ‘67 light blue truck that still runs. Almost everything is original
Why couldnt you get resin!? Just fix the cracks not cover them
I think people are afraid to try it not knowing how to do it. Would be a lot stronger with resin and they'd learn a handy new skill.
Have to say I'm impressed with the stickers.
I have the exact same go kart I Lock the motor
How much will it’s cost for you guy restore a go cart for me.
Did how do I get rid of rust on metal body
Eli Levenson We just took it off with an angle grinder. You can see it in our frame restoration vid.
What’s the model
I need it
Light blue and red were never on a Ferrari. I would just make it a white mclaren from 1988
Broken Boy - That’s ok because Ferrari hasn’t been in Indy racing since the 50s.
Why 1wd
Make an engine cover
Can't make a diamond plate back for it
Not a 60s Indycar go kart body, it is mid- 80s, at the oldest
201 like!
Bet you guys wont sell it to me
It is so difficult talking to camera and but I must say try to remove the "so". You will be ahead of cars and cameras with your engineering.
paint the rims black
Should have left the dash
Where is the spoiler
Got one on let go for sale full body with wing its a honda indi flat track with honda 200cc gx motor 500 bucks what im asking
He
Wrong use of the fiber glass cloth
Is used with fiber glass resin.
i like how these guys copy cars and cameras
5 Twenty how so?
isnt it obvious.
5 Twenty leave them boys alone theyre not copy cats... theyre just two kids messing around in the garage learning how to do things for themselves....
they are, look at the way the video is constructed, obviously a clear copy of what they do.
5 Twenty You must not know what the word copy means
you realy cant spray paint
First
Unboxing,Vlogs, Exploring, Fishing That was so fast lol, thanks for watching!
