This has got to be one of the most epic builds. What a beast. That level of frame sketch combined with the power is just crazy. You can tell it pulls like a bat out of hell in the higher rpms.
You guys need to get something like a motorcycle RAM bar mount for your phone when you do top speed runs, that way you can have full attention on the road and not worry about holding a phone.
Well I gotta love the one wheel peel part. I remember wanting these promo go karts back in he 80s as a kid. It was almost an obsession after seeing one at the local store back in the day.
That looks so cool with the body on. I remember the Hardee's in Wilson back in the 80's had a Cale Yarborough Monte Carlo-bodied one in the lobby you could register to win. It was probably the same mold.
@@AntonBabiy they wouldn't need to put the body on for the first run, if they like it, then yes they would have to modify the body but if they don't then hey no harm done.
How cool is it to be a grown man and get to play like a tweenager!!!!???? Dudes, I am so jealous.. I must escape the real world day to day madness.. Thanks for another awesome video.. I'm living Vicariously!!
Perhaps maybe instead of modifying the original chassis you should find a different style go kart that you can modify to handle and stop well and also properly accommodate some serious horsepower. You should still keep the original chassis and perhaps rebuild the original engine so that you can just put the body on the chassis you feel like riding. Great video as always can’t wait to see the return of the rail.
Drew Tooker I was thinking they should build a replica frame with a live axle. That would keep the original chassis untouched and one that the body could bolt to and still hold the extra power this engine has.
Johnny Thompson that was my idea exactly. Have a performance chassis that the body drops right on to while leaving the original in tact for the collectors value.
They can always use the $50 go cart frame if they decide to take all the monster truck stuff off. Both frames look alike, and they kept the live axle on it for future projects.
U guys are Nuts. The frames for those Fun carts isn't much thicker than a piece of conduit. But it was AWESOME to see that thing going at top speed and dance.
I have been watching u guys since ur first upload and in my opinion what i think would make ur channel more amazing then it already is is to actually spend a lot of time on one project and make a bunch a videos and make it like an amazing kart or whatever it is, and not just a week or two on one and make decent. Like this if u agree. No hard feelings, i love u guys
I personally think you guys should really do this one up with a live axle kit and give it the full racing kart treatment. hell, maybe buy another one and race them!
Or talk to a fiberglass guy who can make a mold out of that body. Then you could have multiple body's made and race them. Keeping them slow would actually be pretty entertaining.
Sure! Another one to race, but then another two more. One done up as a regular street car to speed away from one done as a police car to chase it with flashing lights and siren!
"Noma" garden tractors had 4-wheel steering. My father and I really wanted to get the transaxles out of two matching Noma's and build a 4-wheel-drive 4-wheel-steer "monster truck" of some sort, but never found a second tractor before junking the first..
The ballet of Rickey Bobby LMAO! Aka Ike 😊 like Wil Farrow and Hank Hill all rolled into one. Everyone loves ya guys. All in good fun. Keep up the great videos and work guys!
Have you considered finding or building a new chassis you could put the naskart body that way you can modify and not feel bad about ruining the original chassis
thanks for all the videos showing all the projects your working on. Some of the stuff you guys are doing gives me ideas on future projects that I want to do. Thanks guys.
I want to see you guys build an intake manifold for the original engine and put a Honda or a four wheeler carburetor on it with the straight axle and see which is better also great video and can't wait to see hopefully what I just said
I had a gocart back in the day that sat low and had the one drive tire. We put a 8hp Briggs 319cc on it. That dude was bad!! I can feel the excitement with y’all. Hahaha
I had a one wheel peel with a Briggs 5hp no governor in 1981 and it would lay rubber forever and I thought that was fast then a new kid at school said wanna race absolutely, when I show up he pulls out a marga racing kart with 100cc Yamaha on it and huge Goodyears ,after I got my doors blown off I junked the kart and put that motor on a mini bike but that is another story. Keith
This brings back memories in my first go kart with the built Briggs & Stratton methanol motor on it. way too much engine for a single wheel drive go kart but a lot of fun.
Nice!!! OK, you guys need to set up a race with Build Break Repeat's one wheel peel machine: "Go Kart Turbo Install! | Turbo Drift Kart Build" before they go to a live axle set up, and before they perfect the turbo install on theirs. Their first attempt at turbo-ing is not looking good, but the kart is very similar to yours in performance. It would make for a great race. What do you say, can we make this happen???!! I'm sure we would all love to see it and it would get mad views. Don't make us beg!! lol!! Hell, you could both race single wheel, do the live axle conversion and race again to make it a full event!! Reference Video: ua-cam.com/video/aE99_3ndrp4/v-deo.html
I've said it a few times, instead of all the complex plumbing for a turbocharger, why not use an electric model jet ducted fan to pressurize the intake? its speed controller could be set up to work with the throttle (hall sensor), even program its response. it'd only need a little 3S or 4S LiPo to run it, a switch for when wanted or not.
Always liked the go karts with the body's. My uncle gave me his old Rupp Vega body 20+ years ago, still hope to build a frame / kart for it eventually.
Well what you really needed to was link tow bar up to side bar to give you better calibrated traction. But since you dont have single position to front and rear alignment might be difficult. You could always mount one from underneath to help stabilize everything.
That engine build is identical to my Predator 212 build, except I am using the .292 Drag Racing Cam and 1.3 Roller Rocker Arms with GoPowerSports Ported Head with Larger Valves. I have this in my Mini Drag Bike. Man that thing is fun. I currently have it set up for VP110 because the engine has 12.5:1 Compression, I was told it makes 22-25 Hp. I have had it to 10,000 rpm and use an Mini Digital Tachometer to make sure I do not blow the engine, because it will Rev to the moon.
You guys gotta put a live axle on that frame. Something like that shouldn't hurt the value if done well and neat. Some sweet aluminum rims and new tires would also round it out nicely.
Make some brackets that will bolt onto the stock rear axle that will allow you to attach a live axle so it will no longer be a 1 wheel peel and not modify the originality of the cart. Very awesome cart. My idea would be a piece of plate with a hole for the axle and a piece of L to sit up against the bottom of the frame. The only problem would be the rear axle would have to be wider then the body or maybe a deep dish wheel that would go over the stock axle. If not this is still a cool cart.
I'm glad I found this video. I purchased a frame last week that looks exactly like that one.. Too bad no fiberglass body but hey what can you expect for $60

Very few things look as cool as that kart looks flying down the road. The body makes it look amazing when it’s flying

@@chaseware3181 No, that is incorrect. Nascars have the steering biased to the left during races, but during circuit races, it's even.
Put wide slicks on it and put Goodyear on them like an actual nascar
Trust me I really want to, but I don't want to hack this chassis. It's way too clean.

I told them i would 3d print them something. Asked where i could send it, no response.
Ram bar mount is not expensive and very durable it would be easy to send them one if someone lives close to them..
