    Great video! It’s so frustrating to have a tool that doesn’t work properly. I’m so glad that no 🐊 were injured in the making of this video.

    Thank you for this video! I have had the same saw for many years and have put up with a slight misalignment forever. This past week I was making a toddler bed and got frustrated enough to go looking for videos on adjusting it. Your video is concise and my saw and granddaughter are happy (-:

      Same here. I was looking into buying a new saw. It was like this when I first had it.

    I’ve had the same ryobi miter saw for 15 years , almost identical to this, and never adjusted it. I noticed lately that it seemed off both vertical and at 45s . I used your video to square it up because I have the exact same positive stops and it worked perfectly. Wanted to stop and say thank you for such a well detailed video! It saved me a massive headache

    Thank you so much for this video. I just set up a WEN saw today and the instructions for checking things were hot garbage. This video has taken a boatload of stress out of the process.

    I was really surprised how much cutting power (and torque) this saw had out of the box. I've used other (10" saws) previously and was pretty surprised with the speed and cutting ability of this Dewalt saw.I have bolted mine to a table to minimize movement which I highly recommend.This is a Great saw ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxPeGkHOMe05FySypTOvYumxMn-xi39oRe with a light to see your cutting line (not a laser line).I'd recommend this saw fro anyone looking to upgrade from a 10" miter saw.

    Ahhhhhh ... I need to do this. I've been getting crappy cuts. I thought it's because I got a cheap saw.

    Thank you for this info! Is there a way to tell if my blade is bent? Or what are some indications that it's time for a new one? Thanks in advance!

    • @HomestyleWoodCrafts
      @HomestyleWoodCrafts  Рік тому +1

      Watch as the blade the slows down after making a cut. If it wobbles, it may be bent. Also, if you take the blade off and lay it on a flat surface and it doesn't lay flat, then that's an indication it's bent. I wouldn't use it if it's bent. Other indications to get a new blade would be if it's missing teeth or if the cuts aren't as clean and smooth as they used to be. Some blades can be resharpened, but I have done this so I wouldn't know were to go.

    My Dewalt 12" miter saw does not cut completely to the back of the fence. The saw always leaves a tiny piece of wood that does not get contact from the cutting blade. How do I correct this? 👍🏽🤠 06/28/24

    Kinda sucks you need 3 different squares to adjust the saw. Now I gotta figure out where that old framing square I've had forever is😅😅😅

      Hard to say without actually seeing the saw in person. Do you have an experienced wood worker friend that could help out?
