Correction: Latest gen Galaxy Watch Active 4 doesn't support iOS devices. However, you can opt for previous-gen Galaxy watches as they do have fall detection features & support both iOS & Android devices. Ok, ok, ok. I'm looking for a fall detection watch. I DON'T CARE IF IT HAS APPLE PAY! I don't care if it has a "sports mode". If my 90 yr old mom was into sports, she wouldn't be falling unexpectedly!
I will make a video showing how you can enable all these features on the listed watches in the future. I also tried testing these features as well but fake falls never triggered an alert. Thank you for giving your valuable feedback will try implement in the updated video of the same.
You should say that the Samsung watch 4 does not work re fall detection. Even if it worked, If you continue to move eg trying to get up it will NOT work- you have to be lying still for 15 secs before it is supposed to work. Also if you try it manually you have to press the button 3 times and if you are injured or have dexterity problems you will not be able to use it. I am so disappointed as I even bought the cellular model. My husband has fallen 10 times since buying this and not once has it worked. Waste of money if this is an extremely important feature for you
Thank you for sharing your valuable experience with the watch to us & our viewers. Unfortunately, we don't have any way to test fall detection accuracy as fake falls don't trigger the feature on any of these watches. However, real life user experience do help us in finding out it's accuracy. Will make sure to share your experience when I make an updated video in the future.
@@wearholicAs you are creating video of these watches what is a "fake fall" actually defined as? Is that documented somewhere by Samsung? Does it take into account heart rate, movement after the fall, G-forces? If these things are not documented anywhere these watches are no better then toys and just a disgracefully poor product for someone to buy in good faith for a loved one in the expectation it will help protect them in an emergency.
I'm an Android user, I've already used an Iphone but the Samsung ecosystem is more cost-effective, I love my Galaxy watch 4 classic 46mm, and I intend to have the galaxy watch 5 pro or Apple watch ultra
It nice that you report on the features, however, you have made no comment on how well they wiork and that is still not obvious to those of us who have bought one of these watches. The fall detection is a fraud. Samsung doesn't even mention it in their promotional material for the watch and yet it should be a highlight to sell their watch - makes you wonder.
Hey thank you for the feedback, I will make sure to keep that in mind & incorporate it in our future videos for sure. To be honest the best fall detection watch is still the Apple Watch because if you have cellular you can contact emergency services using the watch itself. And, its performance is really consistent. It is really useful for the elderly or anyone who goes on adventure sports like skiing. While it may sound gimmicky but it has saved lives: 9to5mac.com/2021/08/07/man-credits-apple-watch-fall-detection-feature-with-saving-his-life/ Samsung Watch 4 is the closest Apple watch-like fall detection for Android users. It can detect hard falls & you can even adjust the sensitivity so depending on the type of the user you can change that. Garmin on the other hand only detects falls while performing select sports activities. It works really well but only becomes active while performing sports activities. You can check which profiles are supported using this link: www.garmin.com/en-IN/legal/idtermsofuse/ I have noted down the feedback & we might make a video showing how to set up & showcasing the performance of these features in the future.
Thank you for pointing that out Danny. It was a mistake on my part while writing the script as the previous Galaxy watches supported iOS devices with some feature restrictions.
apple sucks.... The best most useful application would be for the phone to call a family member only option..... Sucks that apple insists 911 is called.

Haha. I am looking one for my dad too. One that tracks their location and fall detection feature. Let me know if you find one
I am 90 and all I want is a watch which will notify my contacts when I fall.
Apple SE was the best watch for me. Thank you for the information.
Great choice! Congrats on the new watch, glad to know we were able to help. Thank you for watching :)

I appreciate that but the 10 falls my husband has had have been real falls not " fake falls"
Frightening

Both provide good smartwatch & wearable experience.
Now I have to watch clickbait content-less video to find out if it's worthwhile or not. Before I was able to look at number of dislikes..
Hey, thanks for the feedback. Can you share, what you found clickbait about this video so that we can make the necessary improvements.
Theres a chrome extension that let's you see the dislikes
I like Apple ser 4-7 best
Apple definately makes some of the best smartwatch in the market. :)
