i live on long island and have been to JFK for almost all my air travel and this place is its own city. this place is ENORMOUS! it was a mall in there with the amount of high quality stores JFK had to offer. just incredible!
My Goodness!!! This is not an airport. This is an AMAZING HUGE CITY FOR PLANES AND PASSENGERS. Fantastic !!! I'd love to know that. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS VIDEO and thank you to add TAM (Brazilian Airlines)
Ahhh! If I had an opportunity, I'd pass a whole day in this airport.....since breakfast until the dinner....or even sleep, if it is possible to do so. I SAY THANK YOU for this video and for answering me.
Thank you for this video. Brought back a lot of good memories. Don't fly so much any more, but this made me feel nostalgic. I used to pass through JFK about 10 times a year.
@Tigers9596: T8 is also used by other airlines -- as Wikipedia says: "In addition to operations at Terminal 7, some Oneworld airlines including Finnair, Royal Jordanian Airlines, Air Berlin, Qatar Airways, LAN Airlines (and its affiliates),[68] TAM Airlines and US Airways operate out of Terminal 8."
i LOVE those flights going to ARUBA :) oh and good job i use JFK for every vacation that i go on i am a New Yorker so i use JFK a lot and it is always crowded!!!
I was going to mention that too Justin. Also KBurchfiel......one thing I noticed was the speed of the "cuts" from one scene to the next. Like the screens at about 10:30. So quick.....couldn't read the screen. And also, what about using a "wipe" instead of a cut when you transition from one section to the next? Like....when going from one terminal to the next? Just a thought....:-). Really liked the video.....really nicely done....with some cool shots!
Barton Seven I do the screens quickly because I figure most people won't really care about them -- and if they do they can pause it to take a closer look, as I often do. Thanks for your input!
Very nice JFK on Xmas. and no very much peoples in terminal, I hope arrived there on October next, airport number two in world wide after Tokio; I think JFK it is equivalent some shopping centers together!!
The JFK airport is one of the largest in the Big Apple. I love the video of the airport and the planes from around the world! Please so down in those captions and show one picture at a time. Thank you.
Hi, this is extremely helpful! You have done a superb job! We're looking to travel from Sri Lanka and was trying to see what the airport baggage areas would be like, to see if we can find trolleys since we will be having a lot of baggage. Found this very useful. Thank you so much! Keep it up!
I have to say: having grown up in NYC; I'm a pro at navigating any airport. JFK, LGA & EWR are all pretty hectic. Heathrow takes the cake though. SHEER madness when navigating there.
Could there be a video on Philadelphia's Airport? Could you let me know if you made one, please? Your videos are cool, it makes me learn about the airports.
Wow, that was a great video! Very informative and you covered a big portion of the airport. Am traveling soon to the Philippines, and am going to terminal 1. I have a question. Is the air train inside the airport is free? Also, i read that you can get an airtrain from the Penn Station in Manhattan. Is that the one? And when am arriving back, so can I take the airtrain from terminal 1 back to the Penn Station in Manhattan?
I noticed at 10:40 the board had a flight to LIH. It doesn't make sense that United flies from JFK-LIH. It looks like a glitch because UA 785 goes from LAX-LIH, no one goes from JFK to LIH. Did you happen to notice that plane when you were there?
Are Emirates airlines & Singapore Airlines the only airlines with 2 decks? I noticed at 14:16 video has Aer Lingus / Irish Terminal on it which was terminal 4 before moving to T 5 recently
Sorry I didn't fly out of JFK Airport, bound for Philippines on that day (Dec. 26, 2013), but I flew out of Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport for Seoul, South Korea before going to the Philippines.
Question. How did you get footage of this airport? I just saw another video of the airtrain and the guy was confronted by cops being told to stop recording
This airport wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the courage of two brothers in New Jersey that risked their lives while flying the first dangerous models they invented which eventually became the airplane. Their names the Wright brothers :)
I've been to T4 after Delta moved to demolish T3 and concourse B is very long. It too me a good 15 minute walk to get to gate B35. Concourse A is relatively short so arriving or departing there wont be that bad.
Planespotters.net is really good for confirming a registration (sometimes the numbers can be hard to make out), but to find out where a plane arrived from or where it's heading I use flightaware.com, or flightradar24. All three are great websites.
Am I wrong but isn't it that only 777-300ERs fly from JFK to LHR. Because if I'm wrong I need to see if my flight will be on a 777-300 or 777-200. I only want to fly to Heathrow to experience first class on a 777-300.
Great video BWI is my personal favorite airport can you please do a tour for Oakland International THX. Also lets have a moment of silence for deltas DC-9-51s they'll be retired soon
I don't understand why people never take fire alarms seriously. They're there for a reason: to alert you evacuate in case of an emergency. Unless it's announced that it is a false alarm, GET OUT NOW, and assess the situation once you're safely out of harm's way.
Umm.. Why did the FAA banned taping of the landing? You guys should seriously loosen the belt just a bit for the air security, even with the 911 attacks...
Air France has 4 flights in between CDG-JFK-CDG A330-200 Arrival in JFK at 11:30am A380-800 Arrival in JFK at 12:45 B777-300ER arrives at 16:15 B777-200 arrives at JFK at 19:05
Nice video! But One thing in my head I have to get out is why are all the terminals not connected!? This is the one thing that I hate about some airports. None of the terminals are connected and it takes so much time out, it's super inconvenient and just plain stupid! Most airports in the world have some type of connection that makes it easy and convenient to get from one Terminal to the next. Wether it's a bus or a train or even a walkway; there is one. It's so stupid to go through customs and immigration and collect all your baggage to then walk a short distance to drop them off and the have to exit the terminal entirely and then completely check in again. Why is this? I've been to Heathrow, Schiphol, Paris CDG, Brussels Central, Budapest, etc; and they all have direct connections to other terminals. No hassle, no huge ass lines. And I get Security is important but your most likely not going to get out of the airport for a layover. So why is there a need for you to go through check-in? I don't know what it's like in other parts of the world but the airports in Europe are much better and convenient.
I hear you--there are many I don't know either. But spelling them out would take up too much space in the frame, and I don't want to crowd out the video with text. Googling "GIG airport" or something similar will let you know what the code stands for. Same with airline codes. Plus, they're fun to learn. Thanks for watching!
Yeah, I skipped past T2 during the tour. To the best of my knowledge it only services regional Delta flights, so it wasn't as interesting for me as the other terminals. Wikipedia says that it will eventually be closed in 2015 following the completion of the Terminal 4 expansion project.
I acknowledge that the scenes are pretty quick. My philosophy is to take lots of short clips of an area, rather than a loooong clip of one area, since it keeps the video more interesting. And putting up the three-letter abbreviations of the cities the planes went to/came from makes no sense unless we, the viewers, already know what they stand for.
Norma Cascio I use the three-letter abbreviations to save space. Personally, I think it's worthwhile learning them. Many are quite straightforward (ATL, JFK), but admittedly others make little sense unless you know the airport's history (ORD). Thank you for watching!
Am I the only one who likes to watch airport videos because it reminds me of going on vacation?
I do too! :-)
Me too
Same
Yessss thats what im doing right now! In really missing my vacation times! Ahh the memories!!
Doozay No, no, no, no, no you are NOT alone.
i live on long island and have been to JFK for almost all my air travel and this place is its own city. this place is ENORMOUS! it was a mall in there with the amount of high quality stores JFK had to offer. just incredible!
Yes, it sure is a city in its own right! Thanks for watching.

This is a very useful and necessary guide which will help you undoubtedly.

Excellent video my friend. It's amazing the amount of information/facts you packed into this...
Very nice and informative ! Thanks a million !
Amazing. I love this airport. Excellent video, thank's.
You saw a lot of really neat airplanes including the Arik Air A340, Delta 747, and Transaero 777. Good footage from the AirTrain!
thankyou for the share. i will be heading to JFK from SYD later this year so it was awesome to see terminal 7 and the qantas check in area :)

i LOVE those flights going to ARUBA :) oh and good job i use JFK for every vacation that i go on i am a New Yorker so i use JFK a lot and it is always crowded!!!
DUDE I RESPECT YOU FOR THIS
Amazing the sheer amount of people baggage and cargo that go in and out of JFK
Awesome video!
you could have put up the text messages for a few more seconds
Yes, I think you're correct. I'll consider putting them on for twice as long for my next video.
will be visiting NY for the first time!
SFTU!
How come your not making videos anymore? I was wondering can you please add the scenes of the Emirates A380 at JFK?
thx for the video! it really helped me:)
Yeah....This video helped me, too. It helped me ease my constipation.
dude slow down i can barely read your captions you are so quick like u go onto the next slide. Plus u need to do a lot better.
Thanks for your input, I will keep both the positive and critical comments in mind when making my next videos. :-)

@@KBurchfiel I love checking out the facts on your videos! Helps me get to know the airport better
As a fire alarm and aviation expert, why were the fire alarms going off at 1:31 through 2:00?
keep up the good work, thanks for sharing
AAAAAAAAAAAAAwesoome!! I really feel that I was go there. thank you. i really like this video.
Very nice JFK on Xmas. and no very much peoples in terminal, I hope arrived there on October next, airport number two in world wide after Tokio; I think JFK it is equivalent some shopping centers together!!

Thank you for doing this!!
I’m over there next week 😄, leaving from Australia to la then New York 😁
excellent tour. who do i ask to film at JFK airport? everything there is BIG. interesting that people still fly between JFK and BOS.
Very beautiful airport JFK.
Thanks for sharing!!!
Hi, this is extremely helpful! You have done a superb job! We're looking to travel from Sri Lanka and was trying to see what the airport baggage areas would be like, to see if we can find trolleys since we will be having a lot of baggage. Found this very useful. Thank you so much! Keep it up!
very well presented
nice video man !
I have to say: having grown up in NYC; I'm a pro at navigating any airport. JFK, LGA & EWR are all pretty hectic. Heathrow takes the cake though. SHEER madness when navigating there.
What about the airport in Atlanta ga?
NICE VIDEO MAN.
Now the newer livery dominates the scene. I saw two TAM planes in OW and the newer American OW livery as well. I saw LAN, too.
Please slow down in the captions and show one image at a time! Great video!
He probably just doesn’t want this to turn into a 30min video! Lol
You can hit the pause button or slow down the speed of the video also
Could there be a video on Philadelphia's Airport? Could you let me know if you made one, please? Your videos are cool, it makes me learn about the airports.
Thanks, PHL was one of my first airport tours. I think I took it in March 2012. You should be able to find it under my channel.
Sir, I don't think this airport have music on because they got the PTVs around. But they need to turn it off so they have CNN on.
Wow, that was a great video! Very informative and you covered a big portion of the airport. Am traveling soon to the Philippines, and am going to terminal 1. I have a question. I'm going to El Salvador alone next month, I hope I survive the airport madness O.O
Excelent!
I noticed at 10:40 the board had a flight to LIH. It doesn't make sense that United flies from JFK-LIH. It looks like a glitch because UA 785 goes from LAX-LIH, no one goes from JFK to LIH. Did you happen to notice that plane when you were there?
There is a flight between JFK-LIH, but it's a one-stopper via Los Angeles if you're flying with United.
MLOALex I think MLOALex is right -- one-stop flights can be really confusing on the departures board because they sometimes look like a non-stop.
Do another video of this please. The JFK Terminal 8 on 2018.. Thank You.
Looks way different as I remembered it to be 😮
+Peaceful Llamas Hmm, probably just a different terminal? I only filmed in the gates area for one of them
Are Emirates airlines & Singapore Airlines the only airlines with 2 decks? I noticed at 14:16 video has Aer Lingus / Irish Terminal on it which was terminal 4 before moving to T 5 recently
There are quite a few different airlines that currently fly A380's to JFK---Singapore and Emirates just happen to park near each other.
Sorry I didn't fly out of JFK Airport, bound for Philippines on that day (Dec. 26, 2013), but I flew out of Dallas-Ft. Worth International Airport for Seoul, South Korea before going to the Philippines.
How do you get from terminal 8 onto the skytrain???
Please how can I get the short term parking to terminal 8 ?
Question. How did you get footage of this airport? I just saw another video of the airtrain and the guy was confronted by cops being told to stop recording
JFK will be my lay over to Orlando this summer with delta.
This airport wouldn't exist if it wasn't for the courage of two brothers in New Jersey that risked their lives while flying the first dangerous models they invented which eventually became the airplane. Their names the Wright brothers :)
ExclusiveLM the wright brothers were from north Carolina....
topgun777 That's what I meant Tom Cruise. I meant North Carolina. The town was in New Jersey in the state of North Carolina :}
topgun777 ohio
I've been to T4 after Delta moved to demolish T3 and concourse B is very long. It too me a good 15 minute walk to get to gate B35.
Concourse A is relatively short so arriving or departing there wont be that bad.
I know this is almost impossible, but can you get a video of the new Pyongyang terminal?
What website/app do you use to search the registration numbers?
Planespotters.net is really good for confirming a registration (sometimes the numbers can be hard to make out), but to find out where a plane arrived from or where it's heading I use flightaware.com, or flightradar24. All three are great websites.
8:55 that’s one of my favorite individual aircraft.
Can you do a tour of Raleigh-Durham International Airport?
MED,BOG,AND,CTG are medellin bogota and cartagena ¿right?
i dream of visiting new York sometime .. but that would forever bejust a dream :(
just keep doing your best and you will make your dreams possible
christopher madera thank you brother
I live south of Connecticut and it is only an 1 hour away so I pass by New York or Manhattan every month I've been in Manhattan a lot of times
sude turkmen good for you bro
Why do you want to visit NY? It's a filthy and congested sewer and all the people are rude.
Great video but are you sure it's JFK lol looking much better than what I have been hearing from people.
People love to whine and complain
Now you got to do one of LaGuardia
If I'm at LGA, I'll try to get a video. Not sure when I'll next be there though!
I believe jfk airport is the best airport for plane spotting
I went to Terminal 5 as well.
Am I wrong but isn't it that only 777-300ERs fly from JFK to LHR. Because if I'm wrong I need to see if my flight will be on a 777-300 or 777-200. I only want to fly to Heathrow to experience first class on a 777-300.
If you go to Flightaware and type in your airline and number, you should be able to see the exact type of aircraft you are flying on.
Thanks. I checked it'll be an American Airlines 777-300ER.
Nice! Only AA operates the 777-300ER among US airlines (AA, DL, UA, US, etc.). I hope you have a great experience.
Will. Thanks :)
Also I just subbed :)
Great video BWI is my personal favorite airport can you please do a tour for Oakland International THX. Also lets have a moment of silence for deltas DC-9-51s they'll be retired soon
Why is the LAN 767 at a American gate 4:51?
because LAN and American are in the same team called Oneworld.
Joshua Kim Yeah I know that. But I didn't think that's how it works.
Whats up wit the alarms going off
oh ok ill see you there in 4 months im heading to Atlanta Georgia to see my friend mattybraps im taking southwest airlines
Is that a sky view in Manhattan? 5:55
I don't understand why people never take fire alarms seriously. They're there for a reason: to alert you evacuate in case of an emergency. Unless it's announced that it is a false alarm, GET OUT NOW, and assess the situation once you're safely out of harm's way.
I flew Turkish Airlines out of Terminal 1, but I usually fly out of Terminal 4 and Terminal 8.
Umm.. Why did the FAA banned taping of the landing? You guys should seriously loosen the belt just a bit for the air security, even with the 911 attacks...
Your pop up boxes go by so fast.
Im in mco i love going to jfk too see my family
I us this airport to go to my country (turkey) I love going to this airport every 2 or 1 year really fun but I don't see a lot of people there
which terminal is this?
The video starts in Terminal 8, and then I visit Terminals 1, 4, 5, and 7 in that order.
Air France has 4 flights in between CDG-JFK-CDG
A330-200 Arrival in JFK at 11:30am
A380-800 Arrival in JFK at 12:45
B777-300ER arrives at 16:15
B777-200 arrives at JFK at 19:05

Hmm, at what point in the video did you hear a fire alarm?
KBurchfiel 1:33
NationNat102
Good question, I don't know!
Jackie Gonzalez Oh ok.
+KBurchfiel which terminal is your favorite?
You know not everyone knows airport codes (JFK, GIG, LAX, etc.). You could translate them or something.
I hear you--there are many I don't know either. But spelling them out would take up too much space in the frame, and I don't want to crowd out the video with text. Me gusta el aeropuerto de JFK de New York
how about terminal 2?
Yeah, I skipped past T2 during the tour. To the best of my knowledge it only services regional Delta flights, so it wasn't as interesting for me as the other terminals. Wikipedia says that it will eventually be closed in 2015 following the completion of the Terminal 4 expansion project.

Correction: Its not air jamaica but fly jamaica
SLOW DOWN!!!!! You jump from scene to scene too quick, and you don't give the viewer enough time to read the commentary.
I acknowledge that the scenes are pretty quick. My philosophy is to take lots of short clips of an area, rather than a loooong clip of one area, since it keeps the video more interesting. That's why each of the scenes are generally 2-4 seconds. If they were longer, this video could last for upwards of 40 minutes. In reality, most people only watch my tours for 4-6 minutes.
Likewise, if I made each clip long enough for you to read the full commentary, the video might be too long. You can always pause the movie if need be.
Thanks for watching!
KBurchfiel No Worries! I hear what you're saying, don't know if I fully agree, but who cares, RIGHT?! :-)
I agree with Tomekj185. Unless you take the Evelyn Wood Speed Reading Course, it's hard to read what you comment on when it's two lines or longer.
