Had a 12 hour overnight layover at O'Hare with a group of about 10 friends a few weeks ago, we had a blast racing wheelchairs down the halls and having the whole airport to ourselves
Matthew Marshall lucky if I would have to pick to either living in ohare airport or a small house I would pick the airport it’s so fun and they have the best popcorn in Chicago there so yessss
I flew at this airport when i went on vacation. But then I realized I left my son Kevin McCallister home alone. Needless to say it was very embarrassing.
In all the years I've flown, Chicago's O'Hare is, by far, my favorite airport connection. I usually ask my travel arranger to prolong my stay at O'Hare so I can chill for awhile, get a meal, and a drink.
Always liked ord. Pretty airport inside with it's architecture. Excited United has a non-stop flight from here in Fresno to Chicago now. Great flight for visiting family in Ohio
Calvin Wit that's the same person as me just different account and no I don't remember that. But maybe in a different terminal that I was in did. Try checking their websites you can see the stores they have there!
@@CalvinCarlo In terminal 1 there’s some luxury store in C, but I do not remember any apple stores. Neither in terminal 2, and I haven’t been in 3 since early age
The first 2 Home Alone movies were filmed here. In the second film, Kevin was supposed to go to the H Concourse, but he ended up in the K Concourse after getting separated from his family.
Fun fact: my big cousin works there and terminal 3 is where home alone 2 filmed the airport scene. Edit: and also terminal 1 was where we picked and dropped my grandmother to California
Try do a 8K video at Chicago O’Hare International Airport terminal five ticketing area you’re gonna hear lots of announcements record the announcements too
2:54 - the typical connection flight traveler! Hey, it happened to me. The people running the airport lacked enough staff to run the customs check-in counters so I was stuck there for almost two HOURS (they unloaded TWO 747-400s at the same time. Golly, why can't they just delay one plane by 10 minutes so the staff don't drown?). Once I got out I had only 15 minutes to catch the next flight and had to run run RUN all the way to the other side of the airport. O'Hare's layout makes it a real chore switching from international to domestic connecting flights. I have no idea if they ever tried to rectify this but I missed the plane by a few minutes. They shut the door in my face and left! Had to get rebooked and was stuck there another three hours. This airport needs a minor "facelift" to improve traffic flow.
Yep, we definitely like our McDonald's at ORD. If you missed the one at the oasis on 294 just outside the airport, you have plenty of options. I'm going to miss seeing the 747's. I'm sure we'll be seeing A380' s in their place. United, and AA seem to be going the 777, and 787 direction for long flights.
It would be nice if airlines did replace 747s with A380s (and that may be happening for some airlines), but I think it will mostly be things like the 777. Which are great planes as well--just not the same. Thanks for watching!
KBurchfiel It appears American, and United have a long, and loyal relationship with Boeing. They'll most likely stick with the latest 777, and have the new 787-10 in their international flights. You're right though. It isn't quite the same as the A380. It'll be interesting if, and when those first A380's start showing up at O'Hare.
Earnist Shick1234 I'm not sure. It depends on the airline you're using. It could be an Airbus, or Boeing. You'll most likely have a layover in New York?
I had a connecting flight here once so I gave myself a 2 hour layover, the first flight took off on time and landed on time, but we were held on the tarmac for an hour and a half because there was another plane at our gate that i barely made my connecting flight
That’s a large problem here. These buildings are at the youngest from the 90’s and oldest from the 60’s. There’s also I don’t think any more space to expand, but yes it’s a huge problem.
There aren't much in the way of shops or restaurants before you go through security in terminal 5 - Is it the same with the other terminals? Just wondering what terminal would be best to hang out in for a few hours before catching my flight to Europe.
Dear KBurchfiel, Undoubtedly you are crazy about Aviation and Air Transportation like me. I believe you must be a United Airlines staff, aren't you? I work in airlines since 2006 as an Avionics Tech. Just a couple of days ago I found your page and started to watch your shots. It's pleasant for me to watch and follow your videos. Thanks again buddy.

I've only been to five different airports in my life but this is the best by far. My only complaint is its super busy but its big enough you don't feel too crowded. although I've only been in layovers here never went through their TSA I imagine its a bit stressful.
Does anyone know why ORD still has so many payphones? And they're still all over the place. I think it's time to replace those with outlets or restaurants
I travel from Seattle to Chicago on America Airline and I connect and in Chicago I connect to Barcelona, I am very nervous because I do not know the airport, do you know where the Amerca Airlane terminal is? Will it be where I am?
Anybody has an idea how much time it takes to make it from Terminal 5 to Terminal 3? Including all the stages, i mean immigration officer, the food/alcohol checking thing, baggage rechecking, and the security check at terminal 3... (im scared that i'll miss my connection flight...)
It’s the best airport in my opinion. Such a great place to be. The sights, smells, sounds all make me feel even more excited for O’Hare than my actual vacation. I’ll be there in a few weeks.
Last time I was there there was a dude smoking in the stall next to me who worked there and the guy he was cleaning with kept bitching at him to get out and do some work haha.
O’Hare is special for their architecture. These buildings were from 1960’s to 1990’s and I personally really like it. It’s unique and special. They are getting old though.
I have COPD and United had a person with a wheelchair at the entrance to the plane to take me to rental cars, it could have been a long slow walk, and i would have gotten lost on my own.
Good airport..... just a bit too large.....change of terminals by train is a bit hectic...... but the facilities are awesome ...... lots of food and refreshments.......sleeping couches available ...... best in the US midwest.
The bad news is that you'd have to go down through a tunnel, and both terminals are quite long, but the good news is that the terminals are next to each other, and you won't need to take any sort of bus or train. So it really depends on your walking (or sprinting) speed.
